A mine ?
Hearing the system notification he was puzzled and when he saw the notification his fatigue was immediately went away and it was replaced by confusion.
"Mine? What's the use of it?"
[DING ! UNDISCOVERED MINE HAS DETECTED IN YOUR BASE AREA .]

'Wait ! I know there will be daily quests but I can also can get special quest ?'
Winter couldn't help but ask absent mindedly
"System is there any other functions I yet to unlock ? Why don't you atleast have some basic information about your functions ."
The atmosphere was awkward with no response . Coincidentally the little girl mary hid behind the door and watched him talking alone . When he saw the little girl wide eyes and strange expression he couldn't help but want to explain ;
"It's not what's it looks like-"
But she ran away like she saw some strange creature.
"Great "
Atleast he didn't have to feel awkward now .
Now back to topic !
Its first time he got the special quest like that and it's have a time limit which made him hurry up to try . The system only gave him information about the mine is it's location with no other details of the dangers inside the mine or what's the use of reward . When he tried to focus on the reward all he got was questions marks which made him confused .
He didn't want to give up this quest which had some high rewards even through he don't know what's it is he didn't want to waste the opportunity to become stronger .
And why does he want to become stronger ?
Of course it's to stay alive ! How can he achive his ambition without staying alive so all of these points depends on the strength so he didn't give up anything related to strength. And most of all thing he didn't find his big sister yet so he wanted to find her as soon as possible because the world has undergoing changes which made him realise that only with strong strength , we can pass through the hurdle or else we don't even know when Will we become one of the zombies .
He immediately stood up and prepared to move out as the map directions.
But before going he need to be prepared . He started to check his supplies to make sure he ahd them all .

When he went outside his room and went to the door he saw Sally looking at him strangely while the little mary hid behind her mother looking at him warily .
"Umm...."
He Didn't know what to say but luckily he had always serious face which made him ignore the awkward moment. He said to Sally with no emotions
"Miss Sally I'm going for a walk inside the base passages , if you heard some loud sound don't bother to response just stay inside the base and keep an eye on those rookies in case they are up to no good you can punish them without hesitation "
Sally said with smile
"You don't have to worry about here "
Winter nodded and left .

The direction of the mine was just 10 mins walk which was located south side of the base . When he entered the location of the mine he was amazed because the flat groud with green land now become a cave , a size of a big truck which burrowed through the underground . The cave was like opening of a beast mouth while the rocks which formed like fangs . He couldn't see what's inside the cave (mine) but his instinct was telling him that's a dangerous thing is inside there. Luckily he brought a torch and temporary light candle which made him assured .
He didn't directly enter but searched at the ground in case if there is any trap inside . But there was none so he entered inside since the space was long he easily walked through it .
There was nothing but rocks and sands when he walked through the mine his own steps were clearly heard by the cave which proved that the mine is shallow . When he walked for few minutes he saw a skeleton at the side which was now beyond recognition due to the time . He walked to the skeleton and started looking around it in case he may find some unexpected things .
He found papers ?
A bunch of papers !
The papers were yellowish and shredded all over it's edges . Except this he only found a old bag and a rust dagger with some clothes and digging tools .
He didn't knew who this person is and how did he die here . But one thing for sure is that this mine is not made by the system because there is no way a skeleton will be placed in middle of the mine with nothing but a rusted dagger and some papers .
"So that means this mine was below the food factory ? Or before the construction of food factory there was a mine here and some years later they closed it ? "
When he thought about this he felt somewhat wrong here. Why didnt anyone mention him that there was mine below the ground when he purchased this land from the landowner . Did someone not wanted to find anything about this mine ?
"Why would the system re open this mine when someone closed it long ago?"
But one thing for sure is that the system always guides him to the strength part . He knew that when the system issued this special quest , either this mine had something that is connected to the reward or there is something which gives him a opportunity .
A opportunity to gain strength !
And he never misses that opportunity.
So he went ahead with a torch light showing the direction to move he went forward slowly and carefully incase traps were laid out here .
It's not that bad sometimes to be careful !
You have only one life !
So don't throw it away .
