Returning to STRONGHOLD
It was a quite close call !
But also exciting one for winter .
After some while he looked at the exhausted Sally who was beside him said in serious tone
"Get ready we have to leave now . The distrubance we made now is quite big which will attract nearby zombies "
Sally nodded and started to recover her mental power .
He didn't distrub her instead brought two Instant apples and gave one to her .
"Have it . This will help you gain mental power faster" .
Sally caught in confusion and looked at winter doubtly . He knew that she would be curious and amazed since this is the first time she could recover mental power by eating apple . Unlike him who has the system they can only recover by meditating and resting . He still didn't knew why he got this system and what what the motive behind it but he is thankful that he is safe because of the system ability since he didn't awakened ability like others who awakened in natural way .
Sally didn't ask how he got this type of item and how can he bring out his weapon out of air . She is smart enough to keep in silence .
"Give me five minutes I will bring little marry to leave with you "
Winter nodded and started to recover his stamina also he started to look for the 'source' he obtained from killing the Elite monster.

Seeing this he was disappointed because this might be a great item for attributes users unlike him who have no attribute affinity . But still he could give to his loyal followers in future , As about thinking it he couldn't help wonder about how his future may be .
After half an hour ,
Sally came back wearing casual sportswear while carrying backpack on her back and her daughter was holding her hand tightly while curiously looking at him .
Sally nodded at him " We are ready to leave with you "
Winter looked at her and confirmed that this woman is not that simple . But anyway it doesn't matter and what matters is to return to the base safely .
It's time to return to STRONGHOLD!
"Then let's go"

6 : 50 AM
The streets was devoid of life but it wasn't that empty because zombies were wandering here and there, looking for their prey and occasionally winter spotted some weird Creatures feeding on human corpse which made Sally almost vomit what she ate today . Winter mindset was improved from constant killing so he didn't have any expression seeing this other than frowning.
When they were travelling they were discovered by some zombies and they crawled towards them .
There were only 12 ordinary zombies so winter easily killed them while the rest was cleared by Sally support . There were getting closer while the zombies they met were getting more and more which made them quite difficult to reach their destination . Winter noticed that the zombies are getting slightly stronger and faster not much but slightly faster than before .
" Were there leveling up like us ?"
This thought made him serious while thinking about how to level up faster . Even through he had the system which made him unlock skills and safe base it dosent mean he is free from danger . If one keep traveled they may be meet more danger but also they can escape easily without much thought but those who have base like him have to constantly defend his base and clear zombies around his territory . He have to careful about both zombies and humans greed .
He decided to buy the STRONGHOLD function which may help him in defending . A STRONGHOLD without offensive is nothing but a turtle shell with target practice .
After clearing the zombies and sometimes escaping they finally reached the STRONGHOLD.
Seeing the big wall Sally couldn't help but ask in awe
"OMG I didn't knew that there is a secret base here.... I thought there was a food factory here ?"
Winter didn't bother to give any answer to her but instead changed the question
"This is my base , miss Sally now we will live in here . What do you think of the place ? Safe enough?"
Sally nodded in agreement " Yes it's safe enough form both zombies and those who have malicious intent . This place is hidden enough to be a secret base so we can be safe now since it's must be a food factory we don't have to be worry about the foods for now "
Winter nodded in praise "it's looks like Miss Sally have quite observation . Yes we don't have to travel to danger places unnecessarily ."
As they were talking they went inside while the door opened itself recognising winter .
Seeing the big base Sally was in confusion and Full of doubts . Because of the weird ability awakening and all those people who turned into zombies she felt quite despair and unsafe . Since awakening her ability she felt confident about her ability and prideful but last night when she saw the humanoid giant and winter fight she became less confidence and carefully . After that Without any more hesitation she agreed to follow him . And now she truly feel safe here , pity that she will be living in temporary . She already made plans when she can hear any government plans or survivors gathers she will go there because living with group is greater than living with single person . But she didn't knew in future she will regret by choosing this option .
Winter calmly said to Sally without looking back
" The first floor is where rooms are there where you can choose one of them while the breakfast and dinner will be at the main hall . You can rest first I will contact you later after I finish my work. "
Sally was surprised at his words but replied instantly
"Ok mr. Winter "
As she said she went to stairs .
He sat on the sofa while looking at the level interface . Since it's been three days he went outside he wanted to see what's new Function has the stronghold.
"I hope it brings me a surprise....."
