Chapter 7 - Family

I was born into a middle-class family in X765. Well, it was a middle-class family for this world. We have a car, we have a nice house. It's cozy.

My mom is a kind soul, but she has an iron fist. I don't think even Gajeel Redfox would be able to eat it. She'd beat him before he could do anything. She's strong. I also think she was part of a guild when she was younger. I have no clue which one, but still. She hides her left shoulder no matter what she wears. I'm curious, but I won't impose.

My dad is normally stoic. I haven't seen him worried or smile since I was born. He normally goes out to work early and comes back late. I'm pretty sure he's working under the Heartfilia trading company. I know he doesn't show his emotions on his face, but I know that he's happy that I was born. I'm also certain that he is disappointed that he can't come home earlier to spend more time with mom and me.

I'm growing, but I don't make the same messes the kids my age make. It's a matter of pride for me. Not just me actually, it's a matter of pride for my parents as well. They always tell other parents stories about how I never needed a diaper. It's so embarrassing. I'm obviously an adult inside, so imagine an adult wetting themselves because they didn't have control over their bladder.

[3 Years Later]

It's been about 3 years since I was born. I spent most of my time with my parents. I enjoyed their company and made sure to have a great relationship with them. I'm not a recluse anymore since my problems with trucks and other vehicles are non-existent now. Thanks, Fortuna.

I've also spent a lot of time talking to Fortuna. From what I noticed, she likes to act as a caring older sister, but she is easy to throws off her game and when that happens, she goes full puffy cheek tsundere pout. It would be adorable if I ever saw her, but she's kept everything about her physical self a secret. I'm pretty sure she's self-conscious, though I doubt she needs to be. Her personality seems familiar and as do her verbal ticks. She reminds me of my wife when I was on Earth. It's weird.

"Hey, mom."

"Hmmm? What is it, honey? I know your birthday is coming up, do you want to tell me what you want for a present?"

"I don't know. But I have a question."

"Ok, go ahead."

"Are you a wizard?"

"Hahahahaha. I'm not a wizard."

"Oh. I've seen wizards with big colorful marks on the top of their arms. They like to show it to everyone." I say pointing to my right shoulder. "Do you have a big colorful mark? Is that why you never wear dresses as all the girls do?"

"Aww. Sweetie, I don't have a guild mark. It's just your father and I grew up in a house that doesn't like to show our shoulders. Grandma and Grandpa think that showing your shoulders to other people is disrespectful and bad."

"So, are those wizards bad?" I ask, just to make myself seem like a child.

"No-no-no. You see, those wizards are good people. Your grandpa, grandma, dad, and I just don't like showing our shoulders out of respect. Though that shouldn't stop you. You should wear what you like to."

"Okay!" I smile at her. "Are wizards strong?"

"Hmmm. I think so. They are the strongest people in the whole world."

"Really mom?" I am trying to maintain a child-like visage for now. "Then I want to be a wizard!"

"Really? Ok, do your best!"

"I will!"

[2 More Years Later]

It's X770.

"Mom! Can I go out to learn magic?"

"Not yet, kiddo. When you turn 8."

"But moooom. I can already use magic." It's time to give up the charade of not being able to use magic. Any longer and I won't be able to set my plans in motion. After all, Ur won't suspect a child to be stronger than her. She would also most likely agree easily if a child who spent a long time with her said they love her. "Here, let me show you!"

I practically dragged my mother out of the house. She stumbled behind me as her arm was yanked down to my height. "Ok, I'm here. You don't need to pull me."

"Sorry about that mom. I just really wanted to show you!" I said. Then I focused my ki on the effect that gravity had on me. I wanted to counteract the gravity around me to make me float. It would be somewhat harder than just pushing ki underneath me, but it would make flying much easier and faster. "See?"

My mom was left speechless. This was the first time she has seen a 5-year-old using magic. "H-How long have you been able to do this?"

"Oh! I tried doing this 2 days ago. I just thought about flying in the sky and then I was flying! Isn't this so cool?"

"Y-Yeah, very cool." My mom stuttered.

"Can I go out to learn about Magic? Please?" I plead with my mom.

"Fine. But I have to tell you something."

"What is it, mom?"

"Well, when you asked me if I was a wizard, I told you I wasn't. That was a lie. I used to be a wizard. It was long before I met your father. I didn't belong to a guild. If you really want to be a wizard, then I will help you train, but you will have to promise me that you will work hard."

"Of course! I want to be the strongest wizard ever!"

"Ok kiddo."

[1 Year Later]

X771.

After a year of physical training with my mother, she has finally let me go out into the world. Under one condition. The next time I come home, I must bring back a girl. I think she's joking, but I'm not sure. Mom's training wasn't that hard. I had to do: 1000 Push-ups, 1000 Sit-ups, 1000 Squats, and run 20 miles (32.19 km). I did take full advantage of it, using the Multi-Form Technique. I did this, by splitting myself into 4 and cycling through each part at 4 AM. Then, I did it with mom, so that she could see that I actually did it.

"You've got a lot stronger in this year. I am finally sure that nobody will be able to outrun you. And you will be able to fight if you must. The last thing, you can go out to learn magic with my friend. My friend is a strong wizard, and they'll be here by tomorrow."

"Okay!"

As soon as my mother left, I used the Multi-Form Technique. I made 20 copies of myself. I made them redo the workout 20 times in a cycle. As they did so, I went home and spent more time with my mom.

[The Next Day]

I just came back from my 4 AM workout and fused with my clones from yesterday. I then split to create 7 clones. "Hey guys, you know the drill, we need all the others from 6 years ago to return to us."

"""""""Bet!"""""""

WHOOSH

FWOOOOM

BOOOOOM

The clones flew off.

"That was a neat trick."

"I know right?" I heard an unknown voice and responded automatically. What the fuck? There was someone behind me? I made sure that I was alone, who could it have been? I spun around and saw her. It was Ur. I could recognize her slim yet curvaceous figure anywhere. She was average in height, but that's about it. She had a slim waist and big boobs. Not massive, but the perfect size to fit in someone's hand. Not only that, but she had a peach-shaped ass, which looked more squeezable every second. Her smooth white skin was like the sand in the bunkers at the Pebble Beach Golf Course in California. And lastly, her unkempt chin-length hair gave her an attractive tomboyish look.

"Now, you may look like a child, but your confidence, strength, and proficiency tell me you're an experienced wizard. Tell me, who are you? And Why are you here?"

"I live here?"

"Don't lie," Ur said. She looks angry and on guard(?). "My friend lives here with her husband and son. If you are here to hurt them, you won't get past me."

Ur used her [Ice-Make: Rosen Krone] to trap me in an ice prison. In response, I wrapped my ki around myself. The smooth yellow ki around me was very bright. It gave off the illusion of the sunrise, blinding Ur. I used it as a barrier to protect myself from the icy chains, but I had rushed it. Ur had gotten the drop on me. And not only that, but she was also more experienced. No matter how great my skills in Ki control, my clones' experience in combat hasn't been transferred back to me. Thank God that my ki quality was extremely high and that it canceled the binding attack.
