Chapter 27 My Handsome Turn!
Now with a new party member, the trio now heads to a door that leads out of level 4. Halting in front of the exit, reaching out with his left arm Ver grabs the door knob, slowly opening the door the crew walk through the open door frame. Stopping right in front of the entrance turning his head back slightly to lock eyes with Pap and Lizzie, sighing reluctantly Ver says, well gang we got some stairs! But once we get past these will be one step closer to getting to that shit face Sal! Doing a dorky pose Pap says with an eager smile on his face, alright let's follow our hearts and take him down!! Looking at Pap with squinted eyes of annoyance Ver says, uh yeah I like the enthusiasm but you don't have to yell kid. Pap smiles with a child like teethed grin and says, yes sir will do! Looking at Pap with tranquil eyes, Ver says, oh and another thing kid you don't have to call me sir. you can just call me Ver like everyone else. Bending his body slightly forward Pap bows and says, Yes Ver sir! Confused Ver says, close enough! Shifting back toward the stairs, gazing up at the long steep steps Ver says with a calm tone, well no time for the weary! Let's shake and bake!
Meanwhile Sal White's Office
What the fffffuck! Are you shitting me she lost too! Said by a ultra pissed Sal White. Getting up from his seat on the couch the young man looming in the shadows says, I guess it's my handsome turn! Glancing over at the young man with serious eyes Sal white says, don't let the money I'm paying you go to waste! Beat that motherfucker! Walking over to the door the young man turns his head just a tad to the left and says, trust me Mr. White I know. But also I want to test and see how strong he is. Opening the door the young man walks through, once out of the office the door closes behind him.
Stairwell of Level 5
Now traversing up the steps still looking forward Ver says, we are almost there guys. Looking nervous Lizzie says with a shaky tone, cool ok! Calm but sweating profusely Pap says, Alright! Glancing back at Pap while steady walking, Ver says with a composed tone, you sound calm but your body language is telling me other wise! You nervous kid? Gazing at Ver, Pap says, maybe a little sir. But the only reason is because I know I'm not that strong like you Mr. Ver. Smirking a little Ver says, ha hey kid! Let me give you some advice, just because your a low rank gunman doesn't mean your less strong than others. It just means you gotta use what you do have to the best of your ability! Do you under stand me kid? Smiling with a little glimmer of confidence Pap says, yes I understand sir! Hitting the last step of the stairs, now at level 5's door. Staring with eager eyes Ver says with a cocky and brave tone, good because it's time to test our metal!
