Chapter 2 - Snowstorm

The creature was surprised to open its eyes again and wondered if it had reincarnated again, but this time with its memory intact. It swiftly discarded this idea as it found two messages left in its mind.

[Inspiration Acquired]

'The dangerous creature that almost killed me was a human-dragon hybrid, it has the strengths of a dragon in a small human body.' The creature had survived with just the feeling of being lightly toasted.

[Bloodline Acquired]

(Draconic Bloodline): 1%

To draconic creatures that are not true dragons their power can be determined by the purity of their draconic bloodline.

'This seemed to make me more resistant to heat and allowed me to survive.' The creature was amazed by the things it could get just by looking at something. The creature no longer felt any danger so it decided to continue going up the cave at a leisurely pace. It did not take long for the creature to arrive at an exit of the cave, of course it didn't encounter any living monsters on the way, only dried carcasses.

'These creatures are definitely far stronger than me. How much does the draconic bloodline make me resistant to heat?' When the creature reached the exit the light was blinding and the difference in temperature was shocking. Inside the cave it was nice and toasty, but outside there was a literal blizzard. The creature realized it could not leave with one glance outside. Aside from the blizzard the second biggest obstacle was that the cave was in the face of a cliff, so going either up or down was impossible without proper preparations. The creature came up with two solutions to escape the cave using its improved intelligence. The first was if there was a way to get EXP it could evolve into something with wings, and the second was if it couldn't then it would try to make something to help it cling onto the cliff wall and slide down slowly. 'I gained 1 agility and endurance earlier by pushing myself as hard as possible, did I gain any EXP from that?'

The creature was excited when it saw how its EXP increased by 30 from gaining two stats. It would take time but it was definitely safer than the other option. The creature only really understood how it could increase its strength, agility, and endurance so it chose to attempt to increase strength and endurance since its agility was already high. Rock lifts, rock presses, long distance runs, sprints, and stretching were all successful exercises to increase stats.

[Evolution Chosen]

Although the creature was tempted to choose other options, it only had enough stats for Ultra Bat, and it needed wings to escape. A sharp pain equal to the previous evolution struck the creature for a few seconds as it morphed into basically just a large mouse with wings on its back.

(Physical Functions): Flight

The creature's wings stretched out as it walked to the cave entrance. It jumped. it flew. it escaped! The snowstorm made flying a bit more difficult, but in comparison to the other bat the creature's wings and the rest of its body were far stronger so it could still fly mostly straight. 'I need to get out of the snowstorm and then I can go anywhere I want with my new wings.' The creature attempted to fly straight in one direction, but the snowstorm blocked its vision and the surrounding area was filled with large mountains. It flew straight, almost hit a mountain, tried to go around it and continue in the same direction, and got lost. Every mountain looked practically the same, and after going around a mountain it couldn't be sure which direction it was originally going. After flying around for a bit with no success the creature's hairs all stood up abruptly as it felt a familiar dangerous feeling rapidly approaching, it quickly dived down and landed deep inside the snow.

The Human-Dragon Hybrid flew by just as fast if not faster than the last time and went straight into the cave, this time the creature got a good look at him! He had bright sparkling green eyes, a youthful appearance, neatly combed silver hair, and a pair of majestic dragon wings connected to his otherwise very human appearance. Although his expression was a little cold looking, that would be the creature's only complaint. The creature wasn't sure what gender it was, but it got the feeling that the Human-Dragon Hybrid could attract anyones attention. Maybe so long as he/she isn't burning you to death. By the time the creature realized the Human-Dragon Hybrid left all the snow in the mountains had turned to steam. The creature was creeped out by the fact that there were actually only 7 mountains of the same size and shape, with 1 in the middle and the rest surrounding it and yet the creature had flew by more than 10. The creature still shrugged it off and flew out of the mountains.

The creature could now go anywhere it wanted with its new wings, nothing could stop it now. It felt like it could fly around the world, that it should. But the creature was actually quite hungry and thirsty. 'Fish?' The creature noticed a river and immediately dived down.

[Inspiration Acquired]

'I got that just for thinking about fish! How did I even know about fish in the first place though?'
