Chapter 7 - Heartbroken during an interlude.

"I can't go out anymore."

"Man, talk about deja vu."

As soon as I got back to our house, I saw Hiroyuki drowning himself in cans of cola that was bought just recently as I remembered not having that many cans in our fridge. He was also in his PJs already so it was good to know that he at least took a bath already. But a sight of your best friend looking like a pathetic NEET in front of you was not a pleasant one at all.

He was in the same position for hours already as I had already showered and had my dinner. And knowing I came back a little later than usual as I was busy punishing my stupid junior, he was definitely been in that position for a good 5 hours.

Knowing that he was definitely in a bad mood, I tried my best by lifting his spirits by telling him some jokes. I even went and tried to console him that it might have been a misunderstanding. However, they were all for nought as all my words went over his head.

I even went as far as to check E-Garden to see if she had made a post about it or if anyone around the school had seen the incident too.

Other than Shidoni's 'Nobuo is a beast" post, none of the post I stumbled upon had mentioned the incident. Sadly, even after telling Hiroyuki about the good news, he still wouldn't let it go.

"Honestly you don't need to worry too much about it," I said as I tried to cheer him up again. "I promise, by tomorrow, everything would go back to normal as if that incident of yours never happened."

"..."

"I'm sure she was just surprised by the way you caught her. It was a surprisingly gutsy move coming from you after all."

"..."

"Besides, you two are going to work side by side in the student council, like it or not, it's not like she can avoid you forever."

"..."

"... You like her, don't you?"

"... Yeah."

"Need my help?"

"..."

Taking advantage that he had already fallen asleep, I put on a smirk on my face as I began to formulate plans in my head.

"I didn't hear a no~"

The church bell rang as Hiroyuki stood in front of the podium in a suit and tie, waiting for his bride, Yuuna to come in from the door ahead.

It was the time for their wedding and everything was leading to this day. Hiroyuki thought about all the great things that had happened during his time in Niwa Mura High and how she met Yuuna.

However, before he could recall the memories of their time after he had reached his 3rd-Year, the door opened.

Yuuna walked out of the door in the prettiest looking wedding gown he had ever laid eyes on. She had her hair done in braided pigtails like how they were back in high school. Despite having a veil over her face, she looked just as young as she was back in high school. She was also still as short as how she was too.

In fact, she looked exactly like how she was when she was 15...

Just as how Hiroyuki looked just like how he was when he was 16.

Yuuna was walking along the path laid for her as a giant notebook filled with notes was guiding her to the podium. Along her way, the attendees were tossing flowers beneath their feet and starting clapping their hands and cheering for the wondrous event.

Everyone from the student council was present. Yusuke was clapping his hands and nodding his head, assuring how much of a perfect fit they were. Jin was cheering with his heart out as he swung his bandana cloth around. Sora was sobbing in happiness and the Nobuo-Shidoni duo was sitting in front as if they had realized how much their son had grown to be with such a wonderful girl.

As for Kazue, he was their priest, giving the speech as soon as Yuuna stood beside Hiroyuki.

"Do you, Hiroyuki Kazama, take her, Yuuna Sagawa, to be your wife?"

"I do." Hiroyuki stared into the eyes of Yuuna as he said with glee. Yuuna smiled as the crowd cheered in unison.

"And do you, Yuuna Sagawa, take him, Hiroyuki Kazama, to be your husband?"

As the crowd cheered even louder, Yuuna opened her mouth.

However, her expression quickly distorted as he looked at Hiroyuki as if she had just laid eyes at the largest scum of the world. Her eyes were wide and her gaze was sharp as if looking down on an insect. Her large creepy smile expanded from ear to ear as she muttered her words to the most despicable human being she had ever laid eyes on.

"No. Because you disgust me, Kazama-senpai."

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Hiroyuki quickly woke up from what seemed to be a nightmare. The table shook as empty cans of cola fell to the ground. I who was having a lovely time eating my breakfast retorted back with a famous phrase.

"Hey you, you're finally awake. You were trying to cross the border."

"What time is it," Hiroyuki said as he looked around his surroundings. It didn't take him long to sober up as he realized he was surrounded by last night's mess that he made.

"It's already morning," I said as the chirping birds outside our balcony agreed with my statement.

"Already? Oh my God, I can't believe I slept that long."

"Had a bad dream?"

"A terrible one. You didn't hear anything weird right?"

"I do."

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

"Anyways," I said as I got up from my seat and dropped the utensils in the sink. "I'm going out soon. Also, you don't need to worry about the whole incident. Things should only go up from here. I think?"

I put on my shoes and head for the door, preparing to leave and head out for my part-time job.

"Anyways, you're on plate duty today, see ya!"

And as soon as I shut the door, I could faintly hear a sentence from Hiroyuki before leaving him alone to once again cry about the whole incident again.

"I can't go out anymore."
