Chapter 9 - Ador

Five months went by rapidly, the whole mansion was in a state of turmoil after Adela's sudden disappearance. Nor the servants or Adela's grandfather was able to find her anywhere inside and outside the mansion.

Outside their little world, word had spread that the Titania Oberon's knights had been seen patrolling the woods and the villages near.

The Titania Oberon Knights were known to be skillful in both sword and magic. The knights were known to be stronger than those of the imperial family ones, they were also known to be able to use magic into their swords. So suddenly watching said knights patrolling the villages and near forests made everyone ask why.

Many messages were sent to the castle about why their knights were seen if they needed support, and so on. Yet, none of them were answered. Even the Imperial family had sent a servant to inquire about the situation but said servant almost lost his life for trying to know stuff that isn't any of his business. The imperial family had no other option but to wait for a letter that was never going to come.

The people started to grow worried about watching such skilled knights out of the castle, such knights that could also be considered monsters. People started to pray when the Head of the family, Ador De Titania Oberon, started to come also to the expeditions with the knights. Ador was feared by many and respected as well, his stoic face was now replaced with one with a scowl.

People passing out and getting suddenly sick started to be seen through all the empire, the anxiety of not knowing what was going on was affecting both commoners and nobles. Suddenly seeing such a feared and respected figure as Ador caused way more turmoil. Ador was rarely seen out of his impregnatable castle.

Many commoners and nobles alike started to slowly save their most appreciated belongings into a suitcase in case of anything happening. Rumors about Ador suddenly losing his mind after both of his grandchildren died resurfaced with rumors of him trying to commit treason.

Nobody knew if Ador's grandchildren were alive or dead, but the sudden appearance of both knights and the head of the family of Titania Oberon made them think they were dead.

Everyone remembers when news about Adela's birth was announced, and when that happened all commoners who had common sense went into the safety of their house. After all, news about Adela's birth didn't come out of the Titania Oberon castle.

The commoners and lesser nobles remember watching Ador and his Son anger that night, the servants who were sent to the Titania Oberon castle as gifts from the imperial family were found dead with their heads hanging from the gates of the Titania Oberon Castle.

The imperial castle was engulfed with blood and flames and also every other noble who dared to spread the information of Adela's birth without their permission. That day many noble families came to their end, and half of the servants of the imperial family as well.

The commoners and lesser nobles knew better than those greedy fools, they also came to hate the imperial family blood and somehow, they understood Ador's anger.

After all, they were being greedy of a simple child.

The commoners and lesser nobles were ready to give their full support to Ador if he ever was to bring the imperial family to its end. They also knew that when Adela and her family were attacked was no other than those servants sent by the imperial family and those nobles who dared to run their mouth about her birth.

It was not only the imperial family who wanted Titania's daughter power to themselves but also other countries and empires.

Nights of fear had fallen in the empire and the countries nearby, after all, if Ador wanted he could easily destroy them.

Adela

Rafael had taken the duty to teach Adela, he couldn't find any ghost available to teach her. Adela's younger brother's health suddenly became worse and all the ghosts were trying to keep him alive by the time Adela was able to complete her fourth circle to meet once again with the gods.

The tower was now engulfed with moon grass, and its doors were now sealed shut to keep the pure mana from leaking out. This didn't help Ador's mindset in any way.

Not even with his strength was he able to break open into the tower. Now the area surrounding the tower was as well engulfed in both moon grass and magic circles created by the ghosts. No living thing could enter or get out.

Adela has now been in a coma state after Rafael taught her a few things.

This also didn't help the ghosts from worrying. Now all of them were working overtime trying to keep both of their young masters alive.

When the fifth month came by, a servant found moon grass growing in the most desolated place of the castle by pure chance. Ador rapidly came to inspect it and was found with his granddaughter engulfed by vines of moon grass in a room that not even him as ever seen.

When he tried to pry Adela out of those vines he was found with a magic circle that sent him flying and destroying a wing of the old castle. After that, the only known entrance to that corridor disappeared.

The servants had to stop Ador from destroying the whole castle to find that room again.

Rafael and the ghosts were growing worried by each passing day, the six months quota was coming near and Adela's younger brother was growing sickly by each passing day. The ghosts and Rafael, for the first time after their death, prayed to the three faceless gods.

The ghosts were a few in total, only those who were extremely loyal to the Castle decided to stay after their deaths taking care of it.

Adela wasn't waking up, and Ador was now going insane with each minute that passed by.
