"Oh no!". I forgot that I should go to my brothers now.
I run so fast until I'm out of breath. Students got out of my way and just rushed to the students council. I open the door loudly and they turn their heads on me.
Jeremy stood up, "You're late, Zi".
I did really well on my first day. I got to talk to my classmates though it was awkward. I met a few friends whom I got similarities with. Ian and Kimi,, both came from a family of cooking maniacs. It was really harsh of me to call it maniac since I also am one, haha.
I drop my books on the floor in the hallway. "This was careless of me". I picked it up and was shocked cause someone just dashed passed me running in a hurry.
"What was that?!", I blinked my eyes.
I looked down and saw that she just dropped a thing of hers. I better keep it and give it back to her.
A school id. "Let's see..". I flipped it over and saw her picture.
"Kaezi… Iura".
Iura.. that family?! The biggest fashion company! I never expected to encounter such luck. How troublesome.
I look at the place where she just passed through. "She's gone i guess".
Now what should I do with this?
I walked opposite ways back to my dormitory.
School students council,
Kaezi's POV:
Haaaaaaah~~
It's so boring! Why am I here anyway?! They call me just for this stupid meeting?
I stood up and just noticed my school id was not with me. "Not that thing!", I yelled.
"Is something the matter, Little Zi?". Lewis, my first brother, looked at me. "There's no need to worry, first brother. I'm just feeling bored, that's all!".
"Want some lollipop?".
"No thank you, Brother Klein". How old are you anyway to act like an obedient kid?!
"Brothers, please excuse me. I think I should go back early. I need to do something".
My 2nd brother stood up and came to my side. "I'll take you back".
Whaaat? How am I supposed to look for my school id with you keeping an eye on me?!
"No need, brother. I'm good"
He stared at me. I better yield to him. I know him too well.
*Knock knock*
A beauty senior student entered. Her long sparkling pink hair attracts my attention and easily stands out.
"Lewis, Sir Yuuka requested for you in the dean's office".
My first brother looked confused. But still stand up, "I got it!".
The senior glanced at me. She's really pretty!
"Oh, you must be… Lewis' only sister?".
"Kaezi Iura is my name. Nice meeting you".
She puts her hair back from her shoulder and looks at me affectionately. "Alice Minatozaki. Vice president of the student council and Lewis classmate".
So she's my brother's classmate. And the way she smiles is really heart healing.
"Little Zi, we should go".
I glanced at my brother for a second. "Ahh.. oh yeah!".
A few minutes later,
I was walking through the hallway with Brother Derris.
"It's not here.. not there either", mumbling to myself.
"You're looking for something?", he asked.
I flinched and sweat like crazy. "N-no!.. I do not!".
My heart is palpitating so fast!
Second brother stared at me. "I've known you for so long. And I know that you are lying".
He really saw me through.
"Say, what are you looking for?". He gazed at me and I couldn't avoid it because if I did, he'd only scold me.
"T-that… my.. my school id.. is missing. I t-think I dropped it by accident".
He didn't respond and wasn't even shocked. "So that's how it is. You're afraid of Lewis finding out that you lost your school id?".
Yeah. I hate it when he nags me so much more than our parents.
And we continued walking and talking until we reached my dormitory in an all girls building.
"Brother, you should go now". My back is chilling nonstop because of an intense stare of the girls in the hallway of the dorm. As expected of my brother's charm.
"Take care. I'll look for it for you". He patted my head again. I really couldn't resist my brother's warm care for me.
I saw him off afar and was gone just like that. I open the door and..
"Hey hey! Who's that boy? Your boyfriend?".
"Yeah, did he just escort you back here? How envious".
I replied with a cringe face. "He is my second brother".
"Oh my! How handsome!"
"He's totally my type!"
Are you two listening to me? I guess not. I don't even know their names.
I entered the room and shut it leaving it unlocked. Lucy is still outside.
I took some books and threw them in my bed. I took off my socks and shoes, made myself barefoot and jumped to my comfy bed.
"I wanna rest without being disturbed. So exhausting~".
The door opened and Lucy came back. "Hey, Kaezi. Your school id"
I suddenly rose from my death and snatched it back. "W-where the heck.."
"A male student gave it to me. He said you drop it when you run or pass him", she said holding her waist.
"I see. I should properly thank him tomorrow"
"He said if you wanna meet him, go to the cherry tree".
Hmm, I see. I should bring something for gratitude.
"Stop thinking for a sec. Time to dig in!".
Lucy opened the school take off lunch. "Lucy, no fair! At least wait for me!".
Next day, after morning class,,
I am right now lying on the ground under the shadow of the cherry blossom. The peace and tranquility of nature makes my exhaustion disappear.
"Kaezi Iura… I do hope I can meet her".
A sudden rustling of the grass tickles my ear. I got up and noticed someone approaching.
"Excuse me, are you perhaps the one who returned my school id to my friend?".
I looked up and a dazzling smile was lit up on her face. Her dark blue silver hair covered the sun's light.
"H-hello".
As expected, I can't talk to anyone whom I first met. I wish Ian or Kimi would be here with me. Sigh~
"I'm Kaezi Iura. Thanks for returning my school id. Please accept my gratitude".
She gave me a small gift and I opened it.
I am glad she first talked but what the heck is this?!. A bracelet with a small silver cross. It is really made of precious material and simple.
"T-thank you but I can't accept such a precious gift".
She pushed it onto me. "It's yours. I bought it for you".
Her smile is really hard to reject, I mean gift hehe. "Your name?".
Ah right. "Claude Kazuya". I received the gift first and forgot to introduce myself. How rude of me!
"I see. Please to your acquaintance, Claude".
"Likewise… Kaezi".
I made a new friend again. But this time, it was an easy one.
Afternoon class,
The teacher speaks as she space out in a daze.
Claude huh?. He's really kind and easy to get along with. He somehow reminds me of that idiot who didn't fulfill his promise. They have the same personality. But I doubt that Claude is a hundred percent like him.
"Claude.."
"Student Iura!".
"Y-yes!". How foolish of me to not listen! I stood up and answered what's on the board.
After afternoon session,
"Yow, Little Zi!", Lewis waved at me.
"Brother Lewis and Jeremy?". Why are they here?
"Wanna go shopping?".
"No thanks", I answered directly with a blank expression on my face. First brother went flustered.
"Don't say that with a straightforward face! You're hurting my feelings".
"I don't care", I added. I mean, why the heck are they so clingy. I am doing just fine.
"Btw, your twin brother will be transferred to your class. No need to thank me.."
I glared at him, not letting him finish speaking. "You did what?".
Lewis went hiding on Jeremy's back. "Let go of me, you idiot". My twin brother went shrugging off his shoulder.
"Brother Lewis, you idiot! Don't go using your president's power to do what you want!", I yelled at him really loudly and harshly.
My brother whimpered. "I just wanna make sure my only sister is safe".
"And who the heck would hurt me in the broad daylight?", Lewis this stupid brother of mine!
He acts like a dumb person everytime he's with me! "You're really annoying!".
"Wuuh~ Little Zi hates me".
"And why won't she, when all you do is clinging onto her?!", Jeremy said while taking my bag away from me.
"Stop that and go back to your class or whatever. Seniors aren't supposed to come and go whenever they pleases".
I scolded him and kept telling him to act properly. Students near us kept whispering, and it's embarrassing. I think I should stop scolding him.
"Fine, fine! We'll go shopping but not today".
"Really?!", his face lightened up and was excited. "Many thanks, Little Zi!".
He hugged me and pecked my cheek. My face went red in embarrassment. I accidentally punched his face after pushing him away.
Jeremy was shocked. "Brother!"
I have done it! My face went pale and almost collapsed. But thanks to Klein who just arrived and prevented me from falling.
In the infirmary,
"I'm sorry, brother", I apologize.
He kept touching his swollen cheek and wiped the blood on his nose. "It's nothing. I'm just happy that my sister punched me".
Huh?! Did I hit to hard that his head went unstable?
Derris speaks, "Want me to add more?".
Jeremy was holding his laugh and covering his mouth. Klein as always just sat around and gave Lewis some sweets. "Want some?".
A nurse came in.
Lewis and the others pulled me gently and we left the infirmary. We walked the hallway while I held Derris' hands. Jeremy keeps scrolling onto his phone. I peek a bit and saw that he took a picture of Lewis' swollen face. I laughed secretly.
"Pfft!".
Klein also took a look since he was curious and also laughed together with me secretly.
Lewis turned his head, "What are you laughing at?".
I waved my hands and shook my head. "I-its nothing".
What a day.
"Hey, wanna go play with us basketball?", Ian asked, leaning his head and looking at my desk.
"I'll pass". Besides, I don't know how and cannot since I have a weak and frail body.
"Just curious, why don't you join our PE class?", Kimi added.
"I.. I am not allowed because I have an illness". I told them since I can trust them. I usually don't disclose my sickness to anyone.
"I see. Then we'll go first. You sure you want to stay inside the room all day?".
"I will go out a bit later".
They left me alone in our dormitory. I continue writing on my desk.
A few minutes, I decided to go out. I arrived at the cherry blossom where I love to stay. I brought out a pocket book with a pen and wrote down something.
"Claude?".
Someone called out to me. I turned my head and saw her standing beside me. "Kae...zi?".
Why is she here?
I see. She came to talk to me, but why tho?
"Btw, I saw you with 2 seniors in the hallway. Are they your friends?".
"They are my older brothers". Why is he asking me this?
"Ah, I see". For some reason he felt relieved. What's with that reaction? I really don't get him.
"Do you have any hobbies?". I changed the topic to avoid that awkward moment.
"Baking and cooking. My family owns a bakery shop and I kinda used to be a kitchen person".
Kitchen.. person. He's using weird words.
"What about you?", he glanced at me and got my guard up.
"I.. don't even know. I grew up as a princess at home, pampered and spoiled by my family".
I somehow remembered the time I helped the maids make coffee. I mistook the salt for sugar. My dark past!
"Then is there something you wanna do?".
What do I want to do?
I never thought about it before.
"I want to… I want to learn how to do housework like you do".
Claude smiled. "Then you can learn from me. Do you wanna try baking simple foods with me?".
My eyes widened and I was excited. "Yes! I would love to!".
"Then it's settled. We should go visit my shop and try cooking on Saturday".
"Eh, Saturday?". It won't work. My brother and I just agreed to go shopping together. But maybe I'll pass, it won't hurt if I postpone it next Saturday.
The bell rings and we go back to our class.
Classroom,
"Everyone, we have a new student that just transferred from another class".
Student?
He entered and stood in front of everyone. "I'm Jeremy Iura, please take care of me".
"J-jeremy?!", I yelled out loud.
The teacher glanced at me. "You know each other?".
