I glared at him. The whole class looked at me. Jeremy smiled and went to find his seat. He sat down in the same row with me at the back while I was in the front.
After class,
Jeremy approached me. "Zi, you're not gonna go back?".
I stood up and picked up my bag. He snatched it away from me and teased me. "Give it back, you jerk!".
"No way, you gotta reach it", he said mockingly.
That's why I don't want him to be in the same class with me. He is half the devil of Noah! I stepped on his foot and put all my weight above it.
"Ouch!", he flinched. "Let my foot go!".
"Give me my bag first", I whimpered. My tears almost appeared in my eyes.
He was troubled. "Hey, hey! Don't cry! I'll give it back!".
There was one time when we were kids. He made a prank on me, he snatched my doll and I went after him. I cried so loud that my older brothers heard it. They scolded him in front of me.
"Stop crying! You're getting me into trouble".
"I'm not crying, stupid".
He helped me wipe my tears using his handkerchief.
In an abandoned room,
The place where we siblings gathered. Of course I seldom go here since I'm the only girl.
"Why are your eyes red, Little Zi?".
Klein noticed it! He sure has a sharp eye. I better hide it or else, another storm will befall this place. Jeremy was sweating though he was using his phone.
"Who made you cry?", my 2nd brother patted my head and yet I can feel death in his aura.
"I just got sand in my eye".
I tried to calm them down.
"How dare a mere sand approach my sister's eye. I swear I'll get rid of it". Lewis hit the wall with his fist.
How will you get rid of it when it is mixed in the air?!
"Eat this and it will not get near you". Klein gave me a cookie.
3rd brother is really the best. He's really cute! But why am I seeing a puppy?
"Btw, first brother, can we postpone our shopping?".
"Ehh? Why?! Don't you love big brother anymore?"
Derris smacks his head. "She said 'postpone'. She didn't say she would 'not', stupid".
"I planned on going to my friend's shop. He said he would teach me baking".
Derris' eyes began to spark, "Did you say 'he'? Since when did you have a boyfriend?".
Lewis butt in and glared at me. Jeremy and Klein heard it also. "Why do you wanna learn it?".
"Did the chef didn't satisfy your stomach?".
"Just listen to me first! And besides, he's not my boyfriend, dummy. I said he is a friend".
Geez~
They all paid attention and kneeled in front of me. "Why are you on your knees?".
"I realize almost all of my friends have a hobby of theirs and all are amazing. I want to learn!".
My brothers all nodded. Lewis stood up. "I'll come along. I won't let my sister meet a boy alone. It's dangerous".
"You are more dangerous", I said back.
Jeremy touched my shoulder. "The Student Council President must not abandon his duty", he added, hitting a double stab.
"I'll come also".
"Brother Klein?".
"I must taste my sister's cooking first".
So he's after the sweets. What a foodie.
"It's settled! Jeremy and 3rd brother will come with me".
Lewis hugged my leg and begged me. "Get away from me you pervert!". And got stabbed again.
"Little Zi, doesn't love me anymore. I wanna die".
Derris picked him up and held his back uniform. "I'll handle this idiot".
"Thank you, second brother".
He blushed a bit. "But.. give me some of your handmade food".
"Since when did you have a sweet tooth?", I said.
Jeremy talked to me. "Call me 4th brother", pointing to himself.
"You are just minutes older", I said with a sharp tongue again. He was petrified and cracked.
"Ahahahahaha!". We all laughed.
A few days pass by and it's Saturday. I dress myself up and tidy my bed. "You're gonna go out with your brothers?", Lucy asked me while eating potato chips on her bed. She is watching her favourite anime. She's an otaku just like me.
"Not really. Jeremy will accompany me to my friend's shop. We have something to do".
Lucy was surprised and grabbed my shoulders. "Who is this friend?!". Jeez~ Why are you like my brothers?
"I'll tell you everything and I need to go now. So, hands off me", I answered with a poker face.
I opened the door and saw my twin brother. "Why are you here? Shouldn't you wait at the school gate?".
"Nothing, just feeling like it. Anyway, we should go meet this bastard".
"Who are you calling a bastard? He's my friend, dummy! How many times do I have to tell you?!".
Walking through the school hallway. "Why are you getting all worked up? Don't tell me you fall for that guy already?".
"We just met".
We arrived at the cherry blossoms and saw him waiting with a book in hand. He waved at me and smiled innocently.
"Kaezi, you're here".
"Thanks for waiting".
"It's nothing". He smiled again and glanced at Jeremy. "And this is…?".
I pinched Jeremy's back. "Ouch".
"Stop staring, it's rude. Hurry up and introduce yourself". I can see him look pale.
"I'm Jeremy Iura. Her twin older brother. Please meet you".
Older what?! Why are you so obsessed with who's older between us?
"I'm Claude Kazuya. It's a pleasure to meet you".
After shaking hands, Jeremy brushed off his hand quickly.
"Jeremy is here to accompany me. I hope it doesn't bother you".
"It's fine. The more the merrier", I smiled.
It was so awkward that I just laughed stiffly. Another person appeared and seem to be also close to her.
"3rd brother!".
Judging by the way she looks at her brother affectionately, she must really love them.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Claude Kazuya, a friend of Kaezi".
He glanced at me and shook my hand. He didn't even respond to my introduction. Kaezi looked at me like she had no choice.
"Klein Iura, my 3rd older brother. He doesn't talk much and I apologize".
"I see. So shall we go?!".
We arrived at Claude's shop. It was really nice. I sat down on the comfy chair with my brothers. Claude gave us some warm coffee. "Please make yourself comfortable. I'm gonna get the kitchen ready".
He smiled at me again. And of course, I wouldn't miss the glare of my brother Jeremy aiming at him. Claude was sweating and awkwardly left us.
I stood up and stepped on Jeremy heavily. "Ouch!".
"Let's make things clear. The next time you glare at my friend again, I will not let you go with me again. Is that clear, Jeremy?".
He scratched his head and put his bangs up. "I know. I just want to make sure you're safe". He frowned and leaned his head on the wall.
"Yes you can make me feel protected but that doesn't mean you have to look at him so fiercely".
...
I was tidying the kitchen by myself when I heard a shout back there. "Hmm? Is something going on?".
I want to have a look but I guess I should just make haste on getting the kitchen ready.
A minute later and it's done. I went back and saw them. "Thanks for the wait. The kitchen is..".
I saw something that should not be seen. Klein standing and somehow wanting to go in first and Jeremy blowing himself at me.
"I apologize for being rude just now".
"It's fine, Jeremy. You shouldn't be bowing for such a trivial matter". I helped him up.
"The kitchen is ready and we should be starting now. Please follow me inside!".
I teach Kaezi how to bake simple cookies. For the first time she did it, it was amazing. "That was a nice bake for a newbie like you".
...
"I know. I didn't even expect to have such talent in baking".
Who would have thought that I managed to make one!
Jeremy speaks, "Don't be so excited. It still needs to be tasted".
Right! I'm not sure if the taste is also nice. Klein took some and ate it. "Brother!", I was shocked.
What should I do? Will he think it tastes weird? What to do? What to do?.
I was panicking like crazy. I calmed down but noticed him not responding. "What does it taste like?", Jeremy asked him.
Klein nodded. He gave me a thumbs up and his eyes went kirakira (sparkling). "It's delicious".
Thank goodness. "Thanks for your comment, 3rd brother".
Claude approached me. "I prepared some juice".
Sunset,
"That was fun!", I stretch my arms up. Jeremy was carrying the spare food that I made. It was for Derris. Fufu~
"How was it, 3rd brother?".
"It was good. I better visit again and buy some from his store".
Mumbling about it to himself, I tease him pretending not to hear it. "What did you say?".
"Nothing".
Aw~ Brother is so cute! I'm glad he also enjoyed it even though he was just accompanying me.
"Btw, your friend is a good guy".
Huh?!
Huhhhhhh? Did Jeremy just praise Claude?!
My eyes widened in shock. Of course I would be since I never heard him praise someone, not even the family!.. "Did you just praise him?".
He flustered. "Y-yes… it was.. I.. He's a good guy and I can be relieved".
Feeling relieved for him being my friend? I mean I know he was kind and gentle.
"I know. You can be less worried", I smiled.
Next day,
"What!", I raised my voice. Jeremy was covering his ears. "Stop yelling".
"You want me to invite Claude in here?".
"Yep", Lewis answered. "I wanna see the guy who made Klein and Jeremy accept him easily. Big brother wants to check if he really is a good guy". He winked at me and I could see some star trying to land on my face but avoided it.
"No!", I responded firmly. I'm worried that they might try something weird on him. I crossed my hands.
"Ehh? Why are you defending him, it's not like I'm gonna eat him or something?!".
"She's worried about you scaring him like you always do in her middle school", Jeremy said bluntly.
I thumbs up on my twin brother. I'm thankful that this brother of mine can be helpful sometimes.
