Chapter 96 - Wrath

Third Person POV :

~Seconds earlier with Arthur and Lucas~

"She was crying for you, you know?" Lucas taunted, "Sure she stayed strong at first, but that's what made it so much more satisfying to see her break down."

A twitch was the only thing indicating Arthur was listening.

Sylvie kept glaring holes through Lucas.

"You see I wanted to play a little with your oh so precious elf princess, alas Draneeve ordered me not to lay a hand on her. Normally I would have protested, but then the most brilliant idea came to me. How better to break you than me defile her as you watch helplessly from the floor?"

Sylvie grunted, and prepared to tear his throat apart.

But one word from Arthur and she stopped.

"ARTHUR LEYWIN! YOU DARE IGNORE ME! You think you are so much better than me? LEt me see you go easy on me now! I will shatter each and every bone in your body so that you can only cry for help as I desecrate Tessia right-" He choked on his own spit upon seeing the ground under Arthur crumple as if it was a sheet of paper.

He gently let Tessia down, and turned around to a trembling Lucas.

"Am I finally worthy of your attention now?" Lucas mocked.

"Lucas," That one word was so commanding it made the students to want to kneel, even though it wasn't directed at them.

"I thought of you nothing more than a mere wasp, one I deemed unnecessary to kill," Arthur advanced forward slowly.

"But even the most holiest of saints will swat it down without hesitation, if the wasp dared to sting him." He released bloodlust so intense it shut ay protests down instantly.

"S-Stay back!" Lucas stuttered.

[Hell's Rain] His spell summoned dozens of flaming blue orbs, growing larger by the second.

"By the look on your face, it seems you are unaware of what's going to happen. Do you really think you could come out of this alive?" He asked rhetorically.

"Die!" He shouts as the dozens of blue orbs shot towards Arthur, who muttered.

"Second Phase."

[Absolute Zero]

A wall of bluish white flames materialize in front of him as the blue orbs collide with it.

Lucas' smug face was replaced by one of pure shock, "H-How is that even possible? N-NO! It isn't supposed to be like this! How are you suddenly able to use Ice magic!"

He prepares chanting for another spell, "CREATION FORM!"

[Infernal Lance]

Mana congregated together before changing shape to form into a partisan spear in Lucas' hands.

"I hope you survive this too. That way you can watch-"

A sudden pressure had him start choking, as he clawed his hand over his neck.

Even the now white haired Arthur stopped in his tracks, and turned his head.

Boy was he unprepared for the sight that welcomed him.

There stood Fayden Leywin in his second phase.

But it looked way different this time.

The glowing red runes that were normally engraved on his body were floating around him like translucent projections.

His arms and legs had turned a deep obsidian black, and was that fur?

His hand had turned into a claw with wicked sharp nails.

(Picture doesn't belong to me.)

His legs faced the same fate.

(Again, picture doesn't belong to me, also ignore the tails please.)

His eyes that had turned slitted, held nothing but anger within them.

Between his legs was a bubbling pool of black liquid, which soon exploded painting the nearby area black.

But this time it didn't just cover the ground.

It formed a dome around them, with a few students stuck inside.

Mainly the ones on the front lines.

Including most of the Disciplinary committee.

He opened his mouth in a growl, revealing a row of razor sharp teeth.

He speaks no words as he silently advances towards Lucas.

"W-What even are you?! No! S-Stay back!" He desperately tried to move away.

But black ropes rose from the ground, binding him.

Before a Cross emerged.

The ropes pick him up and tie him to the cross.

All the while the being that was Fayden kept advancing menacingly.

"Fayden?" Arthur asked.

"Don't interfere." His voice was only a whisper, yet it sent shivers down Arthur's spine.

He waves his hand, and Shroud comes out in it's sealed state.

But not for long, as the outer husk crumbled and fell as soon as it came into contact with his hand.

With the tip of the sword he points towards Lucas' left arm, which bursts out in black flames.

His mind doesn't register the screams and pleas of Lucas, as it only has one goal now.

Inflict as much pain on Lucas before killing him.

The same reason [Fragmented Psyche] was now active.

Within seconds the fire burnt away his arm to nothing but charred bone, which too turned to ashes soon.

He pointed the sword to Lucas' right arm, as it began freezing from the inside.

Lucas thrashed wildly as no coherent words formed in his mouth.

The ice spread to his epidermis and froze his entire arm solid, before cracking and shattering to millions of pieces.

By now Fayden has reached Lucas.

He swings his sword sideways across his torso.

And cut deep enough that his intestines start spilling out.

Lucas looks down in horror and disbelief, as if he couldn't believe what was happening.

With his other hand Fayden takes a grip of one end of the slimy appendage.

And pulled hard, tearing it away from his body.

Now Lucas was almost dead.

But he wasn't finished.

With a flick of his hand greenish-black flames cover Lucas' lower body, preventing him from dying just yet.

The combined effects of [Tartarean Vitality] and [Fragmented Psyche] had Lucas screaming so hard that blood erupted from his throat.

But his scream is cut short as Fayden grabs his lower jaw with his bare hands.

"You scream too much."

And rips it off.

Along with it came Lucas' tongue and the skin of his chest.

Greenish black fire immediately cover his face and chest.

He brings his leg back, which glows a sickly black.

And then he strikes Lucas right in his pelvic region.

One of his tesitcles burst right away, the other goes inside his body, a defensive measure to preserve ones reproductive capability.

But it didn't help him this time, the blood vessels connected to the organ twisted in such a way blood no longer flowed to it.

And the organ would die within his own body.

He couldn't even scream as his throat was now missing.

He had seconds left now.

But the Canine Leywin still wasn't satisfied.

Black mist arose from the ground and coagulated to form a hooded figure behind Fayden, as if the grim reaper himself appeared.

The figure burst back to mist, which moved forward into Fayden's open hands.

The mist merged to form a pole, no it was a scythe.

The blade of the scythe seems to be made of glass, almost completely transparent.

He stabbed the tip of the scythe right where Lucas' heart was.

Weirdly enough it caused no wound.

The transparent blade starts turning black from the tip.

And as the entire blade turned a pitch black, Fayden pulled it out.

And rather than a chunk of flesh, the scythe pulled out a translucent black figure that looked a hell of a lot like Lucas, but with his body intact.

A surge of energy forms in his hands, which travel up the scythe.

After it reached the blade, it pulsed.

And what one could only assume as Lucas' soul shattered into millions of shards.

Authors Note :

As I said, it would be brutal.

And here it is.

Fayden won't be entering that form again.

Let's just say it's a high risk high reward form.

Like Arthurs Phase 3, well more like a pseudo phase 3.

Overuse it and you die.

Next chapter, the Lances arrive.

And now it's back to my normal routine, until the beginning of September.

Exams strike again.

I will likely stop updating for a while.

Ah well, until next time then.
