Leviathan awoke in a strange new place, there were no pools of lava, only of water, there were no fires burning, and most shockingly of all, it was bright, so bright in fact, that it almost hurt her eyes.
Leviathan wandered for a while, there were buildings that she had never seen before lining every corner she turned and more people than she could count.
Leviathan couldn't believe what she was seeing, it was amazing! Screens lit up across the tops of buildings showing various things, one of which showed the spot exactly where Leviathan was standing! It was like a moving picture book! Or a moving painting!
Leviathan had become so entranced at this, she didn't realize she was still walking and accidentally bumped into someone, knocking them over.
"ot, i'p jkc!" Leviathan said.
"Ehh, what?" Replied the woman she knocked over, "What'd you just-"
"i' lm cou um!" Leviathan said, extending a hand to the woman to help her up, "ih ac ij pc zax!"
"Ehhh?" The woman stared confused at Leviathan, "I don't understand what you're saying…"
Leviathan blinked a few times at the woman before placing a hand on her forehead and keeping it there for a moment.
The woman sighed, "Where are your parents?"
Leviathan took her hand off of the woman's forehead, "Oh, I don't have parents, I was born from the remains of my ancestor, so I don't really have parents!"
The woman facepalmed, "Children are getting so weird nowadays… So, you don't have parents, do you remember where your home is?"
"Hell," Leviathan plainly said.
"Of course it is… Here, come with me," The woman said, taking Leviathan's hand and leading her off.
"Oh, where are we? This place is super cool looking! Have you seen the giant thingy that shows a picture of yourself? I like that one!"
"Yeah, yeah," The woman murmured, as she opened the door to the police station and brought Leviathan along with her.
The woman spoke to a lady at the front desk for a few moments as Leviathan ran around the lobby area, causing minimal damage, but a few accidental casualties occurred including a stack of magazines that was now scattered across the floor.
After a little bit of waiting, an officer came to escort Leviathan to a rather small room. The officer had Leviathan sit down, which she promptly did.
Leviathan was too short to actually touch the ground, and her head hardly reached the top of the table.
"So, what's your name?" The officer asked as kindly as he could.
"Leviathan!" She perked up.
"I see… And do you know the names of your mommy and daddy?" He asked.
"Mmm, I don't have either of those! I told the woman earlier I was made from the remains of my ancestor, so I don't have any parents!"
"Mhmm…" The officer responded, "And do you know what city or town you live in?"
"Hell, of course!" She snickered, "That's a stupid question, mister!"
"Right then… Stay here for a moment," The officer said before standing up and walking out of the door.
Leviathan kicked her feet a few times before something out of the small window in the office caught her eye, a black cat!
"Cute!" Leviathan exclaimed as she promptly jumped out of the window to chase the cat. The cat then began to run off.
"No! Cait Sith, come back!" Leviathan cried out, still chasing the cat, eventually catching its tail and holding it up to her face, smiling at it before letting the cat go.
"I caught a Cait Sith!" Leviathan sang to herself before she began to wander once more. It was a nice summer afternoon, the sun shined down upon her, it was very nice!
Leviathan kicked a rock down the road as she continued onward, eventually kicking it so hard, it spiraled into space.
She giggled and continued on her way, causing minor damage to the area around her as she passed.
There were so many interesting people lining the streets! However, one person in particular caught Leviathan's eye, a woman who looked extremely similar to Misses Gremory!
Leviathan gasped, "Misses Gremory!" She exclaimed, immediately running to hug the woman from behind.
The woman looked to Leviathan, "Eh? What are you doing?" She asked.
"Oh, Misses Gremory, you're so funny!" Leviathan snickered, "I know it's you! Don't play games!"
"Who-" The woman started, "I'm Rai, not 'Misses Gremory'"
Leviathan looked at Rai, inspecting her very carefully, "Y'know… Now that I think about it, you do give off an aura… Do you house Ascalon in your body?"
"E-what?" Rai replied, "Are you- Where are your parents? Let's go find them,"
Leviathan stared at Rai for a moment before responding, "I'm the Great Devil Leviathan! What kind of silly question was that?" She laughed.
Rai took a few moments to process what Leviathan had just told her, simply responding with another, "What"
Leviathan stared at Rai again for a few moments, "I think you actually do have Ascalon in your body somewhere though! Lemme see…"
Leviathan took Rai's hand and muttered something under her breath before turning her attention back to Rai, "Now you gotta put all your energy into that hand and shout 'Ascalon!' like that, see?" She explained as she performed a demonstration.
"Err… Right then… I have to go to school now, I'll see you later… 'Leviathan'" Rai replied.
"Mhmm! Buh-bye Miss Rai!" Leviathan exclaimed, waving to Rai as she walked off.
Rai ate with her friends just outside of their school. They chatted, messed around, gossiped, the usual things you'd expect from high schoolers.
"And then he really did that!" One of her friends said.
"No way!" Rai replied, "He actually did that? That's so gross!"
Rai's phone began to ring halfway through their conversation, so she excused herself and took the call.
"Hello?" Rai said, "Who is this?"
"Hello Misses Rai! It's me, Leviathan! Don't ask how I got your number, but I'm here, I think you remember me! I awoke Ascalon in you! Oh- Speaking of that, have you summoned it yet?"
"Eh?" Rai racked her brain to remember who Leviathan was before it finally hit her, the kid from before!
"Right, you're that kid from before, how did you get this number?"
"I said don't ask! Aaaanyway, I'm gonna head over to where you are! I feel some Fallen Angels heading over to you so I'm gonna go help you, just sit tight!" Leviathan exclaimed.
Rai heaved a sigh, "I'm not in the mood to deal with this, kid, I'm not going to play this game, I don't know how you got this number, but please lose it,"
With that, Rai hung up and went back to her friends, though at this point, they were no longer there- in fact, nobody was there. The tables they had been sitting at were all empty, nobody was within eyesight of her.
"Mmm, what do we have here?" A man asked from behind her, "A stray relic? We could make use of this, can't we, Mira?"
"We can indeed, Meir," Mira replied.
Rai turned on her heel, the man was well dressed, wearing a tuxedo, while the woman was wearing a rather fancy dress. They looked as though they had just come from a fancy dinner or a ball. Very high class.
"Hmmm… Ascalon, I take it… The Dragon Slayer," Meir said.
"Lucky for us we aren't Dragons," Mira replied, forming a sword in her right hand, "Let's have some fun, shall we?"
Rai's eyes widened as she again turned on her heel and ran in the opposite direction. However, as she began to run, she was stopped by Meir seeming to teleport to the other side of her. She was trapped.
"What the hell are you people?" Rai gasped, "What do you want from me?"
"Well, as Fallen Angels, you know, we've done our fair share of dirty deeds… All for the grace of God! However, we appear to have fallen out of favor…" Meir explained, as he summoned a chain in his hand.
"…And since you've got a sword that our gracious and glorious God has created… Returning it will bring us back into His favor," Mira finished.
As the two Fallen Angels began to approach Rai, a pillar appeared from the ground, it was so black, it seemed to suck in all the light around it.
From the pillar appeared Leviathan, her otherwise amazing entrance was instantly contrasted by her bubbly personality, instantly grinning and greeting Rai.
"Hello Misses Rai!" Leviathan exclaimed.
"Uh… Hey…" Rai responded, being greeted by Leviathan, who was a whole two heads shorter than her.
Leviathan summoned a trident that rested in her hand, "C'mon Misses Rai! Summon your Ascalon! It's awake now!"
Rai heaved a sigh before raising her right hand and shouting, "Ascalon!"
To her surprise, a sword began to form in her hand, serrated at the edges nearest the tip, and smooth closer to the hilt.
"Isn't that so cool, Misses Rai?" Leviathan started, though Rai's reply was cut short by the Fallen Angels interjecting.
"Who… The hell… Are you?" Meir grumbled, "I don't recall this being an open invite,"
"I'm Leviathan!" Leviathan exclaimed, "And I bet you're the mean people who wanted to hurt Misses Rai! I can't let that stand!"
Leviathan pointed her trident towards the two Fallen Angels, who then began to laugh uncontrollably at her.
"There's no way you, a child, are the great Leviathan!" Meir chuckled.
"It's quite unlikely, it is, I hadn't heard of any child being Leviathan, so I've got my fair share of doubts," Mira interjected, "Now run along before you get hurt, kid,"
Leviathan clicked her tongue before an evil sort of aura began to radiate off of her, chilling everyone around her to their bones.
"I am not a kid!" Leviathan growled, appearing in front of Mira and instantly impaling her with her trident. It went through Mira with a sickening shink, and Mira fell to the ground.
"Mira!" Meir yelled out, rushing over to strike Leviathan, though this ultimately proved fruitless as his chain simply bounced off of Leviathan.
Leviathan glared at Meir before using her trident to pierce his throat. He crumpled to the ground like a sack of potatoes, blood spurting from his throat.
Rai, still clutching Ascalon looked on in horror, while Leviathan just turned around, drenched in blood, and resumed her normal bubbly demeanor.
"Wasn't your first fight fun, Misses Rai?" Leviathan giggled.
"You… You killed them!" Rai exclaimed.
Leviathan nodded, "Yep! I did indeed! It woulda been nice having some help, but it was your first fight, I don't expect much!"
"No, you don't understand, you killed them! How do you not feel bad in any way?" Rai asked.
"Well, they tried fighting first," Leviathan said, wiping her face with her sleeve, "I'm not real happy with people who try to bully other people,"
Leviathan wiped the blood off her face before extending a hand to Rai, "Aaanyway, it's nice to meet you again! I'm Leviathan!"
