Jin smiled at these quest rewards, excited by the rewards and the sight of earning more control over his mana. A technique, and even a new place to explore in the dojo. He wanted to start as soon as possible, so he decided to begin his daily quest.
He pulled out his phone and began tapping on the screen. Jin wanted to know how to improve his mana control and so he searched it up on his phone, resulting in many articles and videos with information.
Jin clicked on a video and saw a man getting into a lotus position, explaining the fundamentals of mana control. Firstly you must control your breathing, then feel the mana around you and within you, you may also feel some tiny mana sparks around you but that may take upto 3 days for beginners.
Jin heaved himself up and repositioned himself, replicating what the man in the video had done. His eyes slowly closed as his breathing simultaneously slowed down.
Jin began focusing on his surroundings, imagining every particle of mana around him and within his veins. 15 minutes had passed and he had felt nothing, an abrupt feeling of shock filled his body for a split second and rather than letting go of it, Jin grabbed onto it.
The mana slowly dissipated and began making its way somewhere else. That somewhere else, he could only assume to be his body.
His body felt as if it were being dragged around helplessly, he couldn't keep up with it but after an hour he was finally getting used to it.
He tried mapping out his mana veins, and after several hours he was able to get a rough layout of the mana veins that webbed within his body. He tried focusing his mana veins within his chest.
The mana slowly but surely surged upwards and made its way towards his chest. After an hour or so, Jin was happy with his progress, he was able to move a decent amount of mana into his chest, after moving the mana around his body he decided to let it all out, bursting into all directions around him.
Jin then tried pulling all the mana back into himself from the surroundings, managing to retrieve just over 30% of it. Over the span of an hour, Jin tried compressing this mana into the size of his palm. After many attempts it had only been compressed down into the size of his head, though this was not his end goal, he was still happy with the results.
Jin woke up sweating, but he quickly averted his attention as he saw his status,

He didn't feel any significant change in his mana control, but his status changed so something must be different, right?

The night sky was shrouded in darkness, leaving Jin to ponder. The night was silent and uneventful, and as a result Jin made his way to bed. When he awoke, he was greeted with a pleasant surprise. His brother and his boss were standing, waiting for him with a basket of fruits.
He was about to question the two but before he could speak a word he was interrupted, "Hospital food isn't that good, so we decided to get you some fresh fruit." His brother said in a gentle tone. He was quite hungry from training and began devouring the food left and right. His boss laughed as he proceeded to say, "You must be hungry from all that training." Jin just nodded at the comment, not thinking about it much as a problem.
However, Jack had a different opinion as his smile shriveled up and twisted into an expression full of anger. "BROTHER, YOU ARE IN THE HOSPITAL YOU NEED TO REST, NOT TRAIN!" Jack screamed at the top of his lungs and stormed out of the room. Jin looked at him in confusion and put his food down. He looked towards his boss and as if he was reading his mind, he said "Yeah, you should go talk to him and calm him down."
As soon as Jin heard these words, he got out of his bed and sprinted out the doorway, looking left and right for his brother before seeing him at the elevator doors which were slowly closing. Jin knew he couldn't make it to the elevator in time and so he ran to the stairs and made his way up.
He ran all the way upto the top floor and looked around but couldn't find him anywhere. Jin thought of going back down but quickly brushed off the thought and had a sudden urge to go up to the rooftop.
White strands of hair fluttered in the wind like a blizzard as he walked up the stairs, step by step. Jin looked into the distance and saw his younger brother standing on the other side.
He slowly made his way towards Jack before attempting to apologise, only to end up stumbling over his own words and not knowing what to say, "I um...well....I don't have anything to say except I'm sorry." Jack turned back and looked his elder brother straight in the eyes before replying in a colder tone, "Yeah you can say that, but do you really mean it? You never listen to me."
Jin froze for a moment, thinking about how he never really listened to his brother and he began to muster up courage to speak once again, "I… I know, and I can't make any excuses but I just want to let you know that I'm doing it so that we can have a better life." Thick tears formed in Jin's eyes and slowly rolled down his face as he slowly backed off and walked down the stairs, wanting to give his younger brother space.
