"We shall banish the princess." Everybody turned to see who is so daring to suggest this to the father of the child, the King.
The female voice belonged to a beautiful woman who seems to be in her late 20s. She had her long hair up in a bun. She was wearing the precious jewelry jewels belonging to the highly esteemed females of Andrea. Wearing a silk saree* she was looking too enchanting and young.
She was none other than the Queen of Andrea.
Everyone was utterly shocked to hear such an idea coming out from the mouth of the concerned child. Even the King raised an eyebrow on this.
"What I mean is, I know we all love her so much. I, myself, being the mother of the child, love her so much, but still, we can't ignore the Prophecy, afterall it's a matter related to the welfare of the kingdom."
"My King, we are the King and the Queen of Andrea before being the parents of Shivanshi. We had pledged to protect our kingdom and people at any cost. This matter is related to the existence of the future Andrea and the lives of thousands of people. We have to fulfill our duty at any cost. ..Even at the cost of.....abandoning our own daughter..." she said with tears in her eyes. She looks like a pitiful mother who can't help but give up on her precious child.
It melted the hearts of the people. They all thought that they were blessed to get such a great queen. Respect for the Queen grew even more in their hearts.
"Sigh...You are right, My Queen. It seems like this is the only way." the King stated.
The Queen shed tears like a waterfall on this. Everyone felt bad for her, but nobody saw the evil smile, which appeared on her face for a second and then disappeared among her tears.
"We agree with our King," answered the audience together.
"I object, Your Highness!" declared an old voice that belonged to an old woman with a wrinkled face but a proud straight back. She was an old lady clearly, but her aura is something that made others terrified. She is wearing a long, heavy saree* full of jewels embedded on it and a specific mang tika* indicating her bloodline is royal.
She was the mother of the King, the Queen Mother of Andrea.
"I don't believe abandoning the princess is our only option. We are such a big empire. What is the point of having a big army when we are dependent on such insane methods to save our empire? Remember, when there is a will, there's a way," she said firmly. She was the Queen Mother, so no one, not even the King can stop her from speaking.
However, the King decided to gamble, "You are right, Mother. But by doing so, aren't we sacrificing too many lives to save one. Let's see how many members support your view and how many support the Queen's opinion. Whatever the audience chooses, this King will obey."
The Queen Mother was right. When there is a will, there is a way. But the people present in the court didn't have the will to save the poor princess in the first place, so why would they go far taking the trouble to make a way for her then.
Therefore, most of the people supported the Queen's idea. Thus, it got decided that they will remove the princess.
The King and the Queen still have to show their faces in public and want people to give their examples in the future, so they decided not to kill the princess by themselves.
The King declared that they would first remove the title of 'princess' from Shivanshi, and then...they will leave her in the middle of the dense, never-ending, most dangerous forest, the Forest Of The Cursed Beasts. From where nobody ever returned, not even a soul, let alone a small 5-yr old princess. According to the King, it's still the least amount of punishment they could give her for bringing turmoil in the world.
~And thus, the fate of the little princess got decided,
for the crimes she never committed
All those people, who used to say they love her too much,
abandoned her within moments,
the one who claimed to care and protect her
became the one who wants to kill her
she lost her everything,
her own family disowned her,
now she is just a nobody
without any family,
without any friends,
she has to live her life all alone by herself
...if she managed to live.~
