Ever since that night, Wystan never brought me out anymore. The only place he would bring me was to the sandy beach that borders around his protected 'wall'. Purely so I would not feel insane by being at home. I was beginning to miss the city life and the bustles of markets during peak hours.
I haven't met my handmaidens nor my assigned bodyguards. Apparently, Papa had brought them with him when he went back. Something about not wanting to create unnecessary trouble for Wystan when there's barely anything for them to do.
I don't even need to socially interact with people. I only wanted to go to the shops and do some window shopping. Probably buy some local delicacies while I'm at it. Alas, it had become a faraway dream for now.
I did question him why I'm being locked up. Why he's always at home and why there was no need to attend to his royal duties.
"There's barely many royal duties right from the start. My people aren't that high maintenance, fortunately."
