Chapter 40 - The Trumpet of Destroyers Had Been Used, The Great War Had Begun

Mahesa's red hair looked like it's on fire, just like his mind which was on fire and became chaotic. Great war? How could this have gone unnoticed all this time?

As the leader of the Destroyers on earth Mahesa always acted carefully in observing the growth and awakening of the monsters. All his efforts had paid off somewhat, but he never expected that he would miss observing the legend.

"I don't understand what you mean. We are tasked with eliminating monsters, and we have always done it. Our battles with the monsters have been going on for quite some time, but even I can't even call this a great war. Are you saying that the legend has been reborn?" Mahesa's burly body seemed to become tenser. The shadows of his body fell as the light emanating from Luna's body hit him. The wounds on his body looked pitiful.

The Healer who was standing in front of them still had a flat expression. But even so, he did not let go of eye contact with Mahesa. "Right. A legend was born, but he also died today. Maybe because his condition is very weak, and made worse by the monsters that have evolved very quickly. I need your battalions to help us and the Awakeners. The monsters have invaded us and are trying to thwart the process of reawakening the dead core of the universe."

Without thinking, Mahesa raised one hand in the air. He drew energy from his surroundings. His yellow eyes, like a lion's, lit up and then dimmed. Now in his hand appeared an old trumpet, made of the best steel in the Sotah world. On the handle was a circular ornament like a rope with a pendulum symbolizing the star of Sirus.

Mahesa blew the trumpet, a trumpet that was not too big. But even so, its sound could reverberate and fill every corner. It wasn't particularly deafening, but it could be heard very clearly in the ears of the Destroyers as if the trumpet was being blown right next to each other's ears.

Huge winds blew from all directions, swirling and slinging dry leaves on the damp ground. From the direction of the old building that was their base, everyone had come out. Their bodies lit up with various colors, along with the visible and invisible Demons.

Puma who had a chimpanzee Demon now jumps nimbly to approach Mahesa. Her Demon which had been sleeping in the base, and had now come out and wrapped its tail around Puma's neck. "What is it, Mahesa?"

The trumpet sounded by Mahesa was the trumpet that only the leader of the Destroyers held. The trumpet would be used only in case of danger. So it certainly made Mahesa's men who lived in the same base with him very surprised, even Folcar though.

Mahesa motioned for his men to stand in front of him, or behind the figure of a Healer who was still standing very quietly. Folcar dodged a considerable distance from the Healer, considering the elemental clash of the two's bodies that would not end well.

After everyone had gathered, Mahesa gave a short announcement, "The legend has been born, but today he has died. I won't go into the details for now because we have to hurry. This Healer will lead us to the portal where the process of generating the core of the universe is carried out. There the rebirth process had been hit by a snag due to the monsters trying to mess it up. Our brothers the soldiers of the Euros have fought first. So we can't stay here any longer."

The Destroyers in front of Mahesa nodded obediently without saying much. Around them had appeared countless other Destroyers, who voluntarily came to fulfill the call of the Mahesa. But the number was very small, less than Mahesa estimated. Since some Destroyers had already chosen the path of becoming common Earthlings, they were unwilling to take on the task of exterminating the monsters again.

Mahesa chose to focus on the armies he had now. Then he asked Luna to guide, as a Destroyer who had Healer's blood and goddess' blood in her body. With the Healer's blood in her body, Luna would be able to know the movements of the Healer who was carrying information in front of them.

Luna made an energy ball on the ground, then she jumped up and over. Her body had beautiful curves looked like an angel who was making art from heaven. She said to the Healer in front of her, "We are ready. Let's go."

The Healer sank into the ground after his body broke into water. He weaved through the ground, leading Luna and her friends to the portal where Daniel was being reawakened.

Behind Luna, Mahesa was running in his lion form. Even though the Demon within his body had died, Mahesa's body transformation power still hadn't dissipated. Puma was followed by hanging from each tree branch. Her chimpanzee Demon was now hugging her neck tightly.

Then there was Folcar who lit a very bright fire in his body. Folcar ran very fast like a thunderbolt of fire. Marfo followed from behind. His demon appeared to emerge from the ground several times, but it sank again and followed Marfo.

Then there was Xyros who was running with his very sturdy and fast legs. His body still glowed with a gloomy green color. His mouth was always in a grimace, and he still didn't talk like he used to.

Velix was on top, jumping from branch to branch. He was very good at jumping and even flying. Above him was his Demon, his Demon was a giant eagle.

The last one was Nery. She was a very chatty and passionate girl. Her body was a small, emitting blue light, blue hair that was tied in two, she had the element of water in her body. She sped off by gliding over the body of her Demon, which was a water dragon, which was currently rising and sinking in the ground. The water dragon could draw water from around to keep it moving.

Nery briefly turned her head, then she waved towards their headquarters. Inside the headquarters, Briana was forced to stay. She couldn't participate in the mission this time, because she was the only human on the team. All of this was beyond her ability, although Nery would later create great combat weapons for her.

Brianna bit her lip. She turned to look for the book tucked away in the desk drawer. She opened the book quickly, and read it with lightning motion. Now her eyes became very nervous. "Great war. The trumpet will only be blown when a great war occurs, along with the legend who has risen. So will the incidents of five hundred thousand years ago happen again?"

Then Briana ran back, towards the glass window in the headquarters. Her eyes withered as the Destroyers were already lost behind a portal in front of them. Now she just had to wait for further news from them.
