There was a shadow beside the house that was still waiting, in silence. He was waiting for the right moment to approach Daniel.
Besides, after making sure that Daniel was in good condition and free from the attack of shortness of breath, Wendy immediately went down from the room to hurry to the yard of the house. Not forgetting to bring the coat that is now wrapping her body, she was standing on the side of the road looking to the right and left.
Wendy's lips trembled with coldness. Her large bulging eyes were waiting for help from someone who might be passing by. Sometimes Wendy could hear several vehicles roaring through the road in front of her house. So she tried her luck.
Daniel had to be taken to the hospital. And waiting for the rescue team to arrive was likely to take quite a while considering that since the fake tsunami happened, many roads around the lake had been closed for safety reasons. So they had to choose a detour which was certainly further than it should have been.
Wendy couldn't stop her sadness, especially when she found Uncle Ted not picking up the phone. "Oh come on! Can't someone calm me down?" Wendy was now sitting curled up on the ground, clutching her knees, and crying!
Meanwhile, deep in the house, or to be precise in the room where Daniel slept, a shadow outside had crawled up the walls of the house made of cemented bricks. His movements were skillful like a monkey climbing a tree.
A shadow of darkness covered his rather small figure. One eye that was still shrouded in darkness was now peeking at the window and watching Daniel fainted with a very pale face and also heard the occasional groan.
The creature placed his pale hand on the windowpane, pulling it open. Hanging with both hands, he finally jumped from the outside of the house to sit squatting in the middle of the window. Then his eyes glanced upwards, finding a colorful lamp with the character of Daniel when he was a child.
The creature jumped and hung from the lamp which was only attached by a thin wire no more than three centimeters thick, but miraculously he did not fall with the broken wire. His body was as light as water, formed from the sacred river of a world.
With his legs wrapped around each other above the lamp, now his body plunged and descended to approach Daniel's supine and possibly dying body. The creature's gaze continued to be on Daniel's chest which seemed to be giving off sparks to him.
The creature took out a glass bottle from the wide black robe attached to his body. His small, pale hands were now dripping the liquid that was in the bottle in his hand, at least three drops.
Gradually Daniel's condition improved. His breathing was irregular, like a poisoned cat, now suddenly began to regulate. His pale face was already showing signs of life. And his sweat began to dry as the pain slowly disappeared.
Daniel squeezed his eyes. His chest had not fully recovered, there was still some pain in it but it felt much better. When his eyes opened how shocked he was to find a boy with transparent eyes now grinning right above his face.
Daniel's eyes widened, immediately thinking he was having a squeeze or a nightmare. However, when he found his body could be moved freely, Daniel became confused, especially when he saw the boy in the black robe began to cover his head with the hood again, thus making him completely covered in darkness.
The child jumps at the end of the upper window, like a monkey jumping from tree to tree. Sitting on the porch for a while until then he jumped out of the window after previously whispering in a voice like a hiss, "Stay away from monsters!"
Then Daniel saw emptiness. He hastily pulled himself together. Then he hurriedly crawled on top of the bed to look down, to explore the direction of the strange child, and sneaked into his room earlier. But in the end, the boy disappeared as if swallowed by the earth.
A creature created from the water will be able to disappear on the ground, turned his body particles into the water, and then plunged and sneak into the pores of the soil and left without being detected.
When Daniel wondered where the transparent-eyed child had gone, he was surprised by the arrival of Wendy who just burst out and slammed the door hard. When Daniel turned his head and gave a confused face, Wendy immediately slumped on the floor and burst into tears.
"What is wrong?" asked Daniel innocently.
"I thought you were dying! I'm really scared!" Wendy could not finish her sad words until finally behind her body appeared a tall and thin figure from behind her back. That was Prof. Ian!
"Prof? What are you doing here?" asked Daniel, confused. When he raised his voice, Daniel realized that there was a scratch that seemed to have just cut his heart, making him felt very painful.
Prof. Ian was wearing his brown coat. The coat should be able to cover his knees, but because of his height, the tip of the coat could only reach the limit of his upper knee. He now drew closer to Daniel, ignored Wendy, and slumped down and still sobbing on the floor.
"I just came back from somewhere. Since some roads are closed I took the route in front of your house. And I stumbled across Wendy outside the house crying. He said you were dying! " There was a deep tone of concern in Prof. Ian's light and wise voice. His slightly gray hair now looked a little white.
"I am fine. I was no good at first, but now I'm fine. " Daniel tried to explain again until he finally got an interrupt from Wendy.
"You're not fine! Never be fine! You'd better get up quickly so that Prof. Ian can drive you to the hospital and have your condition checked. I will come too. I will be uneasy if you don't get checked! " Wendy insisted.
Daniel was a little doubtful about his cousin's opinion, especially considering that it looked like Prof. Ian who was in front of him is not the usual Prof. Ian. However, when he realized that the wound in his heart seemed to have opened again, and for some reason, Daniel began to doubt his thoughts.
"See! You're starting to get sick again! Just pick him up, Professor! You can carry him, right? Daniel is very stubborn. He's the most difficult if asked to take his own medicine! " Wendy exposed Daniel's water openly, and she seemed to want to do more until she finally saw Daniel give up and started getting out of bed after closing the window.
"Why are you opening the window at night like this?" Prof. Ian asked in a very suspicious tone.
Daniel felt Prof. Ian's tone, but he chose not to overthink it too much. "I was out of breath, so I opened the window so I could breathe freely. Besides, the cousin who was supposed to look after me came out of the house and cried. " When Daniel glanced at Wendy, she looked indifferent and had already gone to the wardrobe to get some clothes and a change of clothes for the two of them.
"What for?" asked Daniel as his feet had descended the stairs leading to Prof. Ian's car was parked.
Wendy answered casually, "Clothes for the two of us. Who knows, you have to be hospitalized there. And to be honest I better to be in the hospital and watched by many adults than at home alone without Uncle Ted! "
Daniel ignored Wendy's attitude that was too much overreacting. But Daniel quite understood Wendy's fear.
The two children were already sitting in the back seat in Prof. Ian's car. After confirming that nothing was left behind, the car started driving and left their house. When Daniel accidentally looked at the apple tree next to his house, his eyes found a strange boy hanging over his face. And strangely his face looked displeased.
When a creature created from water saw an oddity, he would appear above the ground in the form of a water jet. Then the water would twist and form a solid body.
