Jake left the hospital as he was assured that she was in safe hands.
Back in the hospital, Mia was breaking in tears while Michael was calming her down by assuring her that everything will be fine.
"Uncle, what am I going to do? Where will I go?" She cried, remembering this again.
"You can always live with me right?" He assured her, getting just a small nod in response.
After Michael was sure that Mia was calm and could be left alone for some time, he left the room and went to prepare for his brother's funeral. He himself was crushed by the news but seeing Mia's vulnerable condition, he knew he had to stay strong.
He went and started preparing for the funeral and even told Mia about it. She prepared herself mentally.
A few days later, the funeral was finally held. It was peaceful and no one except Michael and Mia were there.
The whole time the rituals took place, Mia was weeping and sobbing. She finished the rituals and after Alan was buried, she stayed at the graveyard, near her father's tombstone. Tears seemed to be in no mood of stopping.
Michael also stayed just to make sure she was fine. After what seemed like 2 hours, Mia was finally calm. She wasn't crying and just staring at Alan's grave.
"Mia, we should go. We have to shift your stuff too." Michael said as he went to her and helped her stand up. Mia nodded and stood up with his help. He helped her to the car, made her sit in, sat in himself and told the driver to drive. He followed Michael's instruction and drove them to Mia's house.
After reaching, Mia quickly packed her stuff and Michael had the driver keep it in the trunk. And then they drove off.
After reaching to Michael's house, they were greeted by the servants. Mia was showed to her room and she went in and started unpacking.
Michael told the servants to treat Mia like they treat him. They all agreed and went back to their work.
Mia finished unpacking and looked around her room. Her room was really pretty. It had a big blue bed, walls were also colored blue. The room had a small swing. There was a small lamp on the bed side table and a small chandelier.
As she expected, her uncle knew her well. Blue was her favorite color and Michael used blue in her room to make her feel comfortable. She smiled a little at this thought, but her smile faded when she remembered about earlier.
After she was done admiring the room, she went back down for dinner.
On her way to the dinning room, she didn't see Michael anywhere. She went inside and was greeted by the servants. She asked them where Michael was.
"Master has gone out for some work." The servant replied. She nodded and sat down for dinner. After dinner, she went back to her room.
