Chapter 21 - Mysterious Birthmark

Namara walked after Eros left the Star Palace. She didn't know where the man was going to take her, which was clear by now that they had entered the main palace building.

Namara's gaze explored. She had to pay close attention to the details of the building, as well as to look for signs of where the palace kitchen was.

The whole way the man was silent without saying anything. Namara was only focused on her observations until finally arriving in front of a tightly closed iron door.

Eros opened the door casually. Namara followed the man inside and finally saw the huge and voluminous bookshelves. It was the palace library of the Black Wings clan.

"Close the door," Eros ordered in a low voice.

Without asking much, Namara immediately closed the door. After that, she returned to follow Eros who continued to walk deeper.

Moments later the bookshelves were gone. They arrived at a fairly large room with several tables and chairs.

Eros stopped in front of a table with a thick book on it. The book looks so old that even termites have eaten it.

The man sat on the chair and looked at Namara calmly. "Are you still not going to tell me about the birthmark?"

Namara became annoyed with herself hearing the question. She already said it was just a normal birthmark. Why was the man so busy thinking about the birthmark that the owner didn't even think about?

Eros looked straight at her full of ridicule. Through Namara's expression, he could see her feelings. It was clear that Namara didn't know anything about her birthmark.

Stupid woman. How could she ignore such an important thing in her body?

"If I told you there was something unusual about that birthmark, would you believe it?" asked Eros.

Namara didn't answer right away. She took a deep breath. "That will depend on how Master gives a reasonable explanation," she replied.

Eros nodded. Finally, she opened the thick book in front of him to a certain page. Then he immediately showed it to Namara.

"You have to see things well," said Eros.

Namara's eyes immediately caught the symbol written in the book. There are so many symbols that each one is very complicated. Reading it once or twice will not make it memorized.

However, Namara felt something familiar. It felt like she had seen those symbols before, but where? She tried to remember.

"You feel familiar, don't you?" Eros asked.

Namara nodded slowly. After thinking for a while she did begin to understand. There are some similarities between the symbol in the book and the tattoo symbol on her shoulder.

However, she did not dare to conclude that the two were related. Surely it was just a coincidence.

"You can't fool yourself," said Eros calmly. "If some of these symbols are put together it will form a tattoo that is on your shoulder."

This was the first time that Namara was placed in confusion before Eros. It was like she didn't want to believe Eros' words. However, what the man said did have a chance at the truth.

How did the man find all this?

Now Namara questions her birthmark. If it's an artificial birthmark, what's its purpose? And who made it? Could it be that her mother and father are dead?

"Can I borrow the book?" asked Namara.

In the end, she started to want to know. She wanted to know about her birthmark. She wanted to know if Elise and Nera's injuries were indeed caused by the birthmark.

Eros closed the book tightly. For the past two days, he had been searching for the book with great difficulty. He will not lend freely to others.

"Namara, you should know this is something that concerns your life."

"What does it mean?" asked Namara not understanding.

"Do you know what book this is?" Eros asked back.

Of course, Namara didn't know. She had never seen the book before. "I do not know."

"This is a book containing the histories of the Saint Kingglen continent. And the symbols are part of the mystical and magical symbols of Saint Kingglen," explained Eros.

His gaze turned sharper now. "Do you think important symbols like that would carelessly cling to your shoulder?"

Namara's heart was pounding wildly. She had to admit what Eros said did make sense. There must be a certain reason or meaning behind the formation of the birthmark.

Eros' sharp gaze had softened again. He said, "I can help you figure it out."

Namara looked at Eros complicatedly. Of all the millions of people, why did it have to be that man who discovered something about her birthmark?

She didn't want to get too involved with the people of the Black Wings clan. So she said, "No need, Sir. Just lending me the book would make me feel very happy."

Suddenly Eros smiled. This was probably the first time the man had smiled and Namara had to admit that the smile looked very charming.

Unfortunately, the smile only lasted for a moment before being replaced with ridicule. "You can't borrow it."

Namara frowned deeply. Indirectly Eros was forcing her to want to let the man interfere. However, she was sure that Eros would not help others without asking for something in return.

What a sly man! The Black Wings Clan must contain cunning people like Eros. It was proper that they were called a ruthless clan.

"My Lord, please think carefully. I will serve My Lord well," said Namara in a soft voice.

Eros looked at Namara calmly. The corner of his eyebrow lifted. "Serving like what do you mean? Serve me in bed? Satisfy my sexual arousal?"

Namara was silent. Then she nodded stiffly.

"Isn't that something you should do? What do you think you were brought to my palace for?" Eros looked at Namara with a hint of ridicule. This was not what he expected from the woman.

Namara's throat felt dry. Talking to Eros turned out to be a drain on her energy and sanity. The man was quite unpredictable.

"Then what do you want?" asked Namara.

"I'm not going to say it now because I need to look further. It certainly won't be as simple as satisfying me in bed. It's bigger than that."

Namara looked at Eros cluelessly. If she had high strength then she would just have to beat up the man and the book she wanted would fall into her hands.

Unfortunately, she is very weak. Let alone beating Eros, Namara couldn't argue openly. She couldn't make the man angry.

This is a gamble on identity and revenge. She should be able to get both. Namara must discover the truth about birthmarks, but must also complete her mission of revenge.
