faes went back to shiva after lunch to continue her training. this time they were practising long-range attacks such as throwing knives, daggers, archery and many others.
as faes was an archer she was naturally placed in an archer group.
they practised hitting targets at different ranges, different angles and even different speeds of movement.
shiva noticed that faes hit the target no matter what and that too right in the centre. her posture and angle was correct only her firing timing was too long. while others can fire ten to twenty arrows per ten seconds she only fired five to ten. hence he guided her to practice increasing her arrow drawing speed.
after practicing the ranged attacks everyone were dismissed for their theory classes which other high ranking officers will take. shiva approached faes
"i will be teaching you come with me" he said and turned walking away briskly. faes blinked in surprise but still followed him to his study. unlike morning where only one huge table was present in the room along with lots of bookshelves and cupboards two smaller tables were placed there too. probably for her and sky.
"today i will be teaching you about the hierarchy of kingdom altai as we are in the kingdom's army. after i am done i want you to memorize all these files" shiva spoke as he pointed to a huge pile of files on one of the smaller table making faes face go blank.
she turned back to shiva only to find him smiling with a serious face. 'he's serious?'
"in one day?" faes asked uncertain only for shiva to laugh in return. 'is he serious how can she memorize all those files in one day! she was already tired from practicing and still need to do many things!
"not in one day but a week" shiva replied. he still gave her a week; while he was sure it took others far more time, when they were older than her to remember all these files he was trying to test where her limits lie.
hearing that she had a week faes relaxed, she can do that with her ability to speedy learning and good memory.
following which shiva began to teach faes the hierarchy of kingdom altai. the noble's hierarchy, the military hierarchy and extra nobles who are present in the kingdom.

faes listened carefully as shiva explained the hierarchy to her. she had read about it in one of the books but haven't focused on it only glancing at it once.
but according to shiva the files that she have to memorize in a week were actually details of these nobles and army officers.
after explaining the hierarchy shiva explained why it was important to remember them all for her, according to him she was his disciple and a part of the hierarchy now, she have to behave as per her status. commanding the lower level ones and respecting higher level ones.
also it was not to offend someone influesional and powerful just in case. after all she was just an 11-year-old kid in the end barely 12.
faes glanced at the files sighing internally as shiva finished his lecture and dismissed her. she took the files and began reading them one by one bored.
shiva who was secretly observing faes noticed her lack of interest in politics but her being his direct disciple a commander's future heir candidate she need to have a interest in politics even if she doesn't want to.

"the political structure is different in kingdom in every kingdom. in kingdom altai the military hierarchy and political hierarchy are usually separated but both are ruled by the royal family. if a military officer wants they can take over the political equal rank but the political nobles cant take over the military."
