after listening to shiva faes fell deep into thought as she glanced at the royal family file on the table. it only contained data on the king queen first prince and first princess not her.
'second princess cant even cultivate'
'the royal family might even get replaced'
faes suddenly felt guilty. if only she had come here sooner then she would have known about this before and helped the royal family somehow.
but how was she to know that there was also such a thing in the kingdom! but now that she was here she needs to do something to help her family. it doesn't matter to her if she was a royal or nobles or just a simple person but it should matter to her family who had been the rulers. if they were stripped from the throne then it will be utmost humiliation and then it will only lead to their doom.
in her past life she didn't have any family but after living with the royal family of reptiliance faes knew what a family was like. now that she was here and was stronger than most she needs to do something for the royal family and show to the nobles that second princess of altai isn't a pushover.
faes glanced at shiva intensely 'he is one of the commander then he can help her' but she was not going to tell him yet that she was the princess he was talking about.
'lets take it one step at a time'
"master shiva, the second princess of kingdom altai. she doesn't have any information in these files"
shiva sighed again at her statement
"she cant cultivate. the royal family had kept her locked up in the royal palace most of the time and barely anyone have seen or communicated with her. hence there isn't any information on her. it isn't like she is of any use to the nobles other than using her lack of cultivation to shame to royal family" shiva replied without glancing at her
"she isn't weak, she can cultivate too." faes replied making shiva glance at her strangely. faes felt shivers from his gaze alone but returned it with a determined look.
"and how do you know that?" shiva asked after observing faes determined face. one had to know that the royal family of altai was too overprotective of the second princess, so much that it was easy to use her as a weakness for any of them. even the king and queen were in the same boat. because of their obsession they had kept the second princess holed up in the royal palace and barely anyone knows about her and have seen how she looks.
'its said that she is a selfish, spoiled typical girl who cant cultivate and is really ugly'
shiva wasn't a fool to believe the rumers but he wasn't much interested in them either. yet because of his position he needs to know about every high ranking person who is in the kingdom at least.
"i- uh" faes flattered under shiva's gaze finally. she actually cant tell him directly that she was the said princess they were talking about right?! looks like she needs to stay strong for the future. it was just the beginning,
"you don't need to know how"
not lying and neither telling the truth was the best option that faes came up with. shiva would also know if she lied anyways.
"oh and if she can cultivate then what elements she is affiliated with and at what cultivation stage is she currently at?" shiva continued to ask as faes sighed internally again doubting her dicission
'why did i want to help the royal family help again? and why am i discussing this topic?'
"i cant speak about that! you just need to know that she is strong and can cultivate" faes huffed as she began to read through the files again ignoring shiva who also shook his head silently and went to his work again. he knew that it wasn't his place to ask that many questions and the more he know the more it will create problems for him.

meanwhile in another place of kingdom altai...
"is this the message?" princess nia asked the knight glancing at the dead bodies scattered around the area shocked
when she was preparing to go and meet her sister she got a message from one of her maids that some bandits were kidnapping young kids. hence she had to put aside meeting her sister and get to the last kidnapping place.
but the bandits somehow got to know about her arrival and hence left a message for her according to the knights.
the message was the dead bodies of those kidnapped children's guardians~
'it means that they arent afraid of anyone and will proceed to kill even me if i meddle in their affairs' nia was soft hearted as she felt tears flew from her eyes. so many innocent people died, kids kidnapped and yet those beast dared to warn her!
she glanced at various family members cry over the dead bodies and vowed to herself that she was going to find the culprits and have them punished while also saving the kids.
"your royal highness, the bandits are not easy to track. after we got here and checked the surrounding area there were no signs of anyone other than one teleportation array deep in the forest" the knight replied
nia wiped her tears as she stood straight again
"where does the array lead to?"
"the array masters are working to find that currently"
nia nodded as she glanced around the area again
"announce that the dead people will be given compensation and their children's will soon be with them. i princess nia monesterio swear that those bandits are going to pay for their crimes" after nia spoke she left the knights to do their work as she went to meet the baron who was hiding in his own manor not daring to come and meet her.
