the mana storm grew in size with faes at its centre. faes bit her lip as she felt the pain in her body increase. the mana entered her body going in her meridians strengthening them. the injuries began healing but the process was too painful that she screamed waking sky up from her sleep.
the healing lasted for five minutes before the mana began going crazy in her body again. the mana wormed her way through her meridians and entered her muscles and bones strengthening them.
while her body healed her head began to ache suddenly her spiritual force growing. this happened due to faes triggering her ability to power pick and gain telekinesis! yes now she can use telekinesis using her spiritual energy but the knowledge and sudden gain that came from the skill gave her a headache which calmed down just as she finished her breakthrough.
when all the injuries were healed and she finally brokethrough king establishment stage 5 did the mana storm settle. faes was not in pain now and wasn't dying, the mana storm also replenished her spiritual energy and blood essence by a large margin. now she only needs little rest and a few more pills and she would be fine.
"sister faes?" sky asked as others approached faes. eli supported her in a sitting position as faes smiled.
"i am fine just a little tired!" faes voice was weak and her eyes were barely open, sky was in a similar condition too sleepy to even continue speaking.
"can you guys collect all the scales and the snake corpse? also, clean this place of all the weapons." faes instructed. after she killed the snake the exp already distributed in four of them but the more amount of mana was given to her and sky hence they brokethrough. while the other four weren't any far from breaking through either.
everyone nodded and went to do their tasks. eli held faes in his arms as she leaned against his chest too tired to even move while sarah held sky in her arms as sky went back to sleep.
in half an hour the whole place was clean as if a battle haven't taken place here. other than the crater and lots of ores and stones scattered around one could not tell what had happened here.
"lets go then" faes had forced herself to stay awake the whole time, now that everyone was done she took everyone to the mystic fog castle appearing in front of the mansion, kai instantly appearing near her.
"here eat these" kai made faes eat a few pills before he picked her up princess style.
"everyone should rest too! food is also ready, you can eat and then sleep. i will take care of faes and sky while emma and robin will help me" kai spoke before entering the building.
others shook their head watching faes leaning against kai falling asleep. it had become a normal sight for them now. sarah handed sky to emma as emma and robin followed kai while others went to eat and rest.
.....
the mining village chief was waiting anxiously for the past ten days for the adventurers to return. it had been ten days since he left them at the mines entrances and with each passing day he was losing hope. he should not have let those girls go there! who knows what happened with them.
his assistant knocked on his door making his heart skip a beat hoping that the adventurers have returned.
"are they back?" he asked just as the assistant entered the study. the assistant lowered his head before shaking it. it wasn't only the village chief who wanted the adventurers to succeed but the whole village was waiting for good news. if these adventurers failed then they will have to shift their whole village and many will lose themselves because of this.
"i came to give these documents about the ore collected and distributed in the last few days." the assistant said. just as he handed the reports and documents to a dejected-looking village chief they heard a commotion. it was loud cheering to be precise. hearing it both the assistant and village chief went to the balcony overlooking the village and glanced where the sounds were coming from.
they saw a group of six people surrounded by the villagers as everyone looked happy and were celebrating cheering. the group of six people had smiles on their faces as they glanced at the crowd which was crying and blessing them.
faes glanced towards the village centre where the mansion was. her eyes looking directly at the chief as she raised her hand to silence the crowd.
"everyone the legendary beast that occupied the mines along with its progenies are now dead! all the souls that suffered because of them can rest in peace now knowing that the village doesn't need to fear that legendary beast or have to shift to some other place!" faes voice wasn't low and was loud enough to be heard all over the village. those who didn't knew what was happening heard faes and couldn't stop their tears of joy from flowing.
even the village chief felt like crying. now the mining village was no longer in danger and they can continue staying here, supplying the world with rare ores!
his impression of faes and her team changed. at first he wasn't going to accept more adventurers from going to the mines in case they died but after faes talked to him and explained him the importance of raw materials he couldn't help but allow them to go check the mines.
even after that, he was hoping that the two prodigies will come back alive and the other four who were slightly older will understand the importance of these geniuses. what he didn't expect was to see all six of them alive and they were even completely fine!
he felt like he can finally relax now, a huge weight lifted off his shoulders. now their village can continue staying here doing what they and their ancestors had been doing. now that the legendary beast was dead they can continue mining in all the mines! the number of ores collected that had been decreasing over the years will now increase, with the increase in raw materials the industries could make more weapons and alchemists could make more products overall increasing the strength of cultivators all over the world.
the village chief hurried to where faes and her group was currently surrounded by the villagers.
"welcome back adventurers! the news you brought is like a miracle for us villagers. is the legendary beast really dead?" the village chief asked still in a daze that the legendary beast that killed hundreds and thousands of people was killed by a group of six youngsters.
"respected village chief, the snake is indeed dead. here's its dead body. please move away a little" eli smiled as he took out the snake's dead body from his spacial ring.
the villagers moved away to create space for the corpse. in front of everyone's eyes a huge twenty-meter long snake appeared on the ground. its body was full of injuries, its scales were absent and one of its eye was destroyed. its body also had green blood flowing out from many places.
even after being dead the snake had an air of legendary beast which made the onlooking villagers who were either normal beings or low level cultivators shiver in fear. their gazes which were filled with joy and happiness when watching faes and her group had turned into astonishment and respect.
