"blood petals" "blood sword!" faes gave a light cry as the petals around her began moving. but surprisingly their direction wasn't liam but the cultivators on the ground. the petals moved around the cultivators at a speed invisible to naked eyes and soon cries were heard and the king establishment stage cultivators were killed along with other members of the cult.
"you! how dare you!" liam was fuming watching his subordinates die. but to kill these many cultivators with just one attack and that too without harming her own comrades was something even he could not do. the scene left everyone present filled with fear. ladon Nuri Adrian Liam and others were no exception, even the army soldiers that were saved were filled with fear towards those petals and faes.
"if i were you i would rather focus on the attacker than others" faes said bringing liam's concentration back towards the attack that had approached him. it was a blood red sword slash and he wasn't able to defend himself as the slash hit him. the slash not only gave him a deep wound on his abdomen but the blood in his body also began to go berserk trying to force the veins to explode and he directly spewed out a mouthful of blood.
"remember something, never target those i care about!" faes voice came but liam just lifted his head and glared at faes.
"you think i will die just like that? if you can have a trump card then i can have it too!" liam shouted as a blood-red grimoire appeared beside him and began glowing.
"blood soul capture" liam shouted as a blood-red light appeared from the grimoire and charged towards faes.
"blood flower" faes also shouted as the petals scattered around came back and formed many flowers around faes.
"explode!" faes cried and vanished as the flowers exploded making it appear like the whole sky was painted red with blood. the blood-red sky was literally filled with blood as the two attacks cancelled each other and engulfed the places liam and faes were.
everyone felt their blood reacting to the blood in the sky and felt as if death was right in front of them. the blood began to fall down as if it was raining and covered everything into a red color but the remaining cultivators didn't moved and continued to watch the sky as if they missed something they will die.
faes was standing in front of liam with her sword on his neck as he kneeled in air.
"any last words?" faes asked
"i joined the cult because i wanted to become stronger, as a human i wanted to rule over a kingdom, and i became strong enough to kill the king of dragons.
i befriended king aiden to know more about nightlight, i always had a passion for unique and stong treasures and nightlight was one of the most prised treasures i had encountered.
i don't regret anything other than kidnapping you. trying to kill you was what seemed easy but isn't. king aiden must be proud of you watching you from above. watching you kill all the enemies that wanted to harm his two daughters and kingdom.

"princess faes isn't a traitor and will never betray her comrades even in death! she is what a true princess should be like! it was all our plan to defame her and bring hatered for her in kingdom reptiliance as she will be forced to join our cult then. do not hate your elder princess she is the best princess any kingdom can ask for" liam said and turned to "they will come for you, i am just one of the weaker cultivator but the real boss will come to find you, you need to get stronger" liam said to faes nodding
faes gave her sword a swing and the next moment liam's head was detached from his body. faes took a deep breath and extended her hand. all the blood liam had was gathered into a ball and then it was sucked into her bloodstone which was still hidden due to nightlight.
after that she vanished arriving again in the cell she was in previously holding liam's head in her head. in this place only a single person was alive and that was Richard. faes arrived in front of Richard who was still bonded by her qi chains.
richard can hear the sound of the explosions outside and didn't knew what was going on. lord should easily kill faes as there was a big gap in their cultivation realm. the battle sounds and the explosions were making him nervous as the shockwaves had travelled here and he had felt them. the shockwaves were enough to injure him and crack the walls around the cells.
he didn't knew who was fighting with lord liam but they have to at least be in elemental strengthening stage to be able to fight on par with lord liam.
just as he was feeling nervous and afraid bonded in these chains when faes appeared in front of him. her eyes blood red holding a blood red sword in one hand and a head in other while her whole body was covered in blood. richard screamed in fright just as faes appeared in front of him. he almost thought that the goddess of death appeared in front of him.
but when he noticed it was faes he shivered even more frightened. faes appearing here means that lord liam was dead, just as the thought crossed his mind he glanced at the head faes was holding and his eyeballs almost popped out of his head.
"lord liam!" Richard exclaimed and glanced at faes unable to think what was going on.
"your lord is dead now nobody is going to disturb us in our talk. now what were you saying about that thing i might be interested in?" faes asked placing the dead head aside.
"what talk? i wasn't talking! it was milord that had the thing i only heard someone mention that they would use it to tempt you in joining our cult" richard said shaking his heading fear
"is that all you know?" faes asked
"yes i swear! let me go i will become your servant! i will do whatever you ask just let me stay alive!" Richard even went as far as begging.
"you plotted to make me a traitor?" faes asked
"yes! it was milord too but i helped him along with that guard leader of the royal palace. there are also many other spies in the royal palace including the head chef and few more." Richard quickly gave out names of all the spies and their plot.
"please i told you everything can i go now?" Richard was almost crying from fear. what he knew was only that he had to stay alive even if he have to leave reptiliance. he can go somewhere else and become stronger and rich.
"that his majesty will decide" faes said as Richard shivered in fear.
"please don't hand me over, they will kill me please"
"too late for that" a voice sounded before ladon nuri adrian and their guards appeared.
"your majesty!" Richard even felt like he would faint any moment now that the king was here too.
"princess faes you can kill him if you want. he wanted to harm you the most" ladon glared at Richard as he spoke.
before Richard can utter another word he found that he cant speak and soon his head fell on the floor with a thump!
his blood also converted into a ball before being absorbed by the bloodstone.
