"faes where is sky? we searched everywhere but couldn't find her" adrian asked anxious.
"i am here big brother adrian, i am fine. big sister faes sent me to a safe place even before they can take me from our home. they didn't managed to even lay a hand on me" sky appeared beside faes and smiled at everyone. only after finding sky and seeing that she was safe did they sigh in relief. faes really didn't wanted sky to get hurt.
"then lets head back and get you treated" nuri sighed and turned to faes.
faes who was already close to death heard that the hour was almost up and the red color in her iris faded away just like her sword turned back to being a clean sword it was before then vanished as faes kept it away. faes also heard notifications of the quest being complete and the rewards being delivered. whatever richard and liam owned will be delivered to the mystic fog castle.
she fell on her knees suddenly gasping for breath as mana began to revolve around her as she began to breakthrough king establishment stage.
"not good! if she breakthrough in that condition then she is going to die!" adrian exclaimed but they were unable to stop the storm that had already appeared forcing them to move away.
"big sister take this pill, brother kai said it will help you" sky said and used her space magic to send the pill to faes in middle of the storm while adrian picked her up moving away from the storm.
faes heard what sky said and caught the pill that appeared in front of her before directly swallowing it. she had known something might happen hence she had given kai few pills. he had sent them for her now through sky so she didn't thought twice before eating them.
kai would never hurt her!
faes felt the mana enter her body making her skin glow with a golden luster but it was dim to even notice anything abnormal. faes felt that the mana is trying to tear her body apart. the meridians in her body were barely holding on under the pressure of mana and her injuries were hurting more now that the mana was coming in direct contact of it. her head was being filled with details of the reward and the comprehensions all at once and it too felt like it was going to blast any given moment.
faes thought that she was really going to die this time looking at the depleting hp bar but suddenly a warmth flew in her body. it was decreasing the pain she was suffering and also healing the wounds and burns. faes sighed in relief as she forced herself to sit and revolve her cultivation technique making the chaotic mana turn obedient. the pill was healing her deeper and lethal injuries and also helping her strengthen her meridians and finally under the pills effect all her major wounds healed and her cultivation brokethrough king establishment stage 1 and her hp bar increased enough to not let her die. the mana entering her body increased her mp which was more than before.
soon the mana storm died down relevealing faes with only minor injuries sweating and panting for air but her deeper and serious injuries were closed and she wasn't going to die anymore. other than that only her blood was going berserk in her body and was being absorbed by the blood stone at a fast rate. she had used the blood essence but even after absorbing essence from liam and Richard it wasn't enough to fill the essence again hence the blood stone was absorbing her own blood essence to refill itself.
it wont kill her and the essence will be formed after some rest because of her special body, but it was still making her weak. after absorbing majority of her essence the blood stone sent out a red light. the whole place was covered in a red hue. the cult members which died all had their blood essence being absorbed and in minutes the red light vanished and the blood stone went back to being just a normal stone leaving faes on the ground.
faes felt tired and her vision slowly turned black as she fell on the ground unconscious. when others saw that they went alert.
"faes!" nuri was the first to arrive near faes and check her pulse. it was there but was faint!
"we need to get her to a hospital!" nuri said as she turned to ladon and adrian while sky was in adrian's arms watching them with concern.
"lets go" ladon picked faes up and the royal family left the mansion. when the reptiliance army saw the royal family they calmed down, the red hue from before had scared them but now it seem that it wasn't something to be scared about. they also saw that princess sky was fine and not even a scratch on her body and everyone were relieved. that is until they saw unconscious faes in king ladon's arms.
"your highness!" they exclaimed. the beautiful princess was covered in blood from head to toe. her mask dress hair and skin was covered in red. faes had saved them from a strong enemy which can even kill their king hence they all felt grateful towards her but watching her in the current condition was a heavy blow to them. faes was barely a noble establishment stage cultivator when fighting but she fought with an elemental strengthening stage cultivator and killed him along with dozens of king establishment stage cultivators and all. the price she paid had to be a huge one too.
"we will be taking princess faes back to the capital can i leave this place to you?" king ladon said and series of yes your majesty and please hurry sounded. ladon nodded and left towards the capital. soon they arrived and their arrival caught attention of the citizens of the city. they have seen the news of faes betraying the kingdom and were both confused and shocked by the news.
but when they saw the royal family along with a blood covered faes they confirmed that something big had happened. though they were still not sure about faes betraying reptiliance.
the royal family ignored the commotion they caused and directly arrived in front of the hospital and were greeted by the head doctor and healer.
"save her please" ladon said placing faes on a stretcher. the healer nodded and took faes into an emergency room with his team.
outside sky tightened her hold on adrian's neck and looked at him with tears in her eyes.
"sister faes will be fine?" sky asked
watching her eyes filled with tears everyone also wanted to cry but they held themselves while adrian nodded
"sister faes will be fine, she just needs rest and will soon play with us again." adrian said but even he wasn't sure what had happened to faes. the condition she was in had scared him to death but if it weren't for sky he would have already fallen on his knees crying.
everyone went silent and after hours the healer came out looking tired.
"her highness princess faes is out of danger now and will be fine soon. she suffered some injuries that have been healed but both her health and mana will need time to recover while" the head healer paused looking back towards the room before turning to the royal family
"her blood essence was almost absorbed dry and its not easy to recover. we have a few low grade pills for blood essence recovery that we have given her. she should not do heavy work or practice any kind of cultivation until all her blood essence is recovered otherwise even we wont be able to save her" the healer said
the royal family along with the guards and butlers had a pale face hearing that her blood essence was almost dry. they all nodded thinking back to the red eyes and the red blood spells she used to kill liam. she used her blood essence to save them and almost died! everyone vowed to take care of faes and protect her at all cost and get stronger.
"her highness have to stay here until she wakes up after that she can go back to the palace" the healer said before bowing and excusing himself to go and treat others. the royal family didn't had much wounds so they were fine but as they entered the room faes was shifted in they were stuck with an urge to protect her at all cost.
faes was not covered in blood anymore but there were many bandages on her body. her mask and clothes had been removed and changed into a hospital gown and her hair had been washed and was spread around her. there were blood bottles and iv's attached to her arms and her skin was pale with barely any color.
"your majesty, there are reporters outside wanting to know what had happened. there was news telling that her highness is a traitor and now everyone is panicking" ladon's butler informed slowly
