"Stop" a voice sounded alerting everyone except sky who was currently busy trying to overcome the pain.
faes thought that someone had noticed that she was trying to absorb the excessive mana and had told her to stop in case it makes the magic unstable and something goes wrong. while others who were yet to noticed the danger on sky's life thought that someone was trying to stop the ceremony and hurt sky making everyone go alert.
"who called out just now? come forward and state your thoughts clearly" king ladon said scanning the nobles seated around.
faes had already found the person who had called out just now and had began glaring at him. she had also changed her thoughts about them finding out what she was about to do.
the person who called out was a middle aged higher noble who was one of the people that were giving her disapproving looks filled with disgust. faes concluded that they were not trying to stop her from absorbing the mana but rather the ceremony hurting sky in the process.
this made faes angry as she glared at the man trying to hold her bloodlust so that others won't know her thoughts yet.
the man was a higher noble whose family had dragons affiliated with qi. the noble families all had one particular type of energy which they cultivated and were divided according to their powers. unlike the royal family which was gifted with powers to cultivate in more than one energy type and some special powers that they get from the ancient spirits, they had fixed powers passed down in every generation.
"sir richard qinsley, can i know why you shouted stop just now?" the king asked once the middle aged man named Richard qinsley stood up and bowed.
"your majesty king ladon shadowdragon de reptiliance, i meant no harm. i just realised that there is something wrong" richard said
faes stopped glaring as she heard him. 'is he trying to make everyone notice that the amount of mana gathering is more? did he noticed it?' faes was now confused about what richard was going to do but she can also sense that the pain sky was in was increasing every passing moment and soon it will break through her limits so faes continued to try and absorb the mana which was going towards the magic circle like iron sticking to the magnet. 'it was so hard to pull mana from the force field'
"and that is?" the king asked as faes continued to try and pull the excessive mana from the force field.
"your majesty, her highness princess sky can not transform into human form" richard said giving a sad look and shaking his head.
"why can't she transform into her human form?" adrian asked glaring at Richard.
"i am unsure if you have noticed or not your highness, but princess sky doesn't have an elemental crystal which is important for transformation," richard said. when faes heard that she rolled her eyes. 'and i was thinking that he had noticed the main problem' faes had her hopes high but she was proved wrong. still she was not sure if richard had good or bad intentions. if faes was going to make any conclusions she would say that he was no good!
when other nobles heard richard they turned to sky again and their eyes widened that he was saying the truth. while the nobles began to panic the royals calmed down as they knew about sky having the elemental crystals but the others were not supposed to know that!
"don't worry she have her own elemental crystal so it should not be a problem. she is special as her crystal is on her forehead" the king said to calm everyone down. he told them sky's crystal was on her forehead but he didn't told them that it wasn't just a crystal but crystals! if they knew then sky would turn into an experiment object for them which he didn't want.
the nobles heard what the king said and calmed down. their gazes looking at sky changed from amazement to awe. till now they were amazed that their younger princess was absorbing this much amount of mana without making a sound but now they knew that their princess was special to have her crystal on her forehead instead of over her heart like others this made them look at her in awe.
each noble present was only affiliated with a single element or two so they cant sense the other element mana particles or qi hence they all concluded that sky can use the elements they were affiliated with and didn't asked about her affinity.
richard who failed to stop the ceremony was irritated.
"your majesty please forgive this one for the unnecessary trouble caused due to concern for the princess," he said but before anyone can say anything he continued
"our princess is a truly special child and her being able to absorb the qi at this high amount is truly astonishing!" he said
faes who was trying her best to pull the mana was still trying her best but the commotion was irritating her now. cant richard just let it go? is he trying to make sure that sky doesn't transform? otherwise, why would he point out her affinity like that?
faes glared at Richard concluding that he was planning something and was hoping this would end soon so she can make sure sky doesn't die! if sky dies then she was going to die too because of their bond!
"sir richard what are you saying qi affinity? her highness princess sky is affiliated with fire" another noble voiced out
"but i can clearly feel the water magic particles pulling in the magic circle, her highness is affiliated with water"
"she is affiliated with earth"

the commotion increased instead of decreasing and the royal family finally felt something wrong.
but before anyone can clear the doubts in nobles faes stopped them finally irritated as she noticed sky beginning to shiver from the pain.
"silence!" faes shouted silencing the whole room. she looked at every noble in eye as she took a deep breath and began talking.
"her highness princess sky is special and as for her affinity, that is not the topic to discuss at this time! i can assure you that she is special and have her elemental crystal on her forehead, she will transform into her human form but for her to do it without any harm i would have to ask everyone to please contain your curiosity for the time being and let her focus on more important task!"
faes said shutting every noble's mouth she saw that richard was about to speak while he was frowning and glared at him releasing her bloodlust that she was containing inside till now as not to anger the nobles but to hell with them! sky and her life were in line here!
"i should also say that if anything happens to princess sky because of this discussion then not only the person who began it would be held responsible but their whole family will be punished on charges of causing harm to their royal princess and others who helped or contributed in any way would also be punished severely" faes spoke before Richard can say anything then she smiled at him
"and i promise that i will personally carry out the punishment and will make sure you will be begging for death after i am done with you" she spoke.
everyone who heard her and sensed her bloodlust felt themselves shivering from fear. they were strong but the amount of bloodlust faes was releasing made them alert and conscious that they were disturbing their princess. they saw sky shivering in pain and realised that their unnecessary bickering had almost caused their princess harm. if princess faes had not stopped them then princess sky might have died!
guiltily every noble contained their curiosity inside for now and nodded looking down because of their mistake. they didn't want their princess to suffer any harm so they were going to wait until after the ceremony.
richard who was at the receiving point of faes bloodlust saw her smile and shut his mouth. he was told to not let princess sky transform at any cost today but when faced with their elder princess he was at a loss. he can't think of anything when his life was in danger along with his family. richard just bowed and went back on his seat silently.
faes took a deep breath and stopped her bloodlust making everyone sigh in relief. even the king who was shocked at faes sudden shout, was silently praising her. he knew that richard was an annoying noble in oppose of the royal family and also knew that he wanted to harm princess sky just now by taking other nobles to help but her shout and reasoning had made everyone realise their mistake and not fall in richard's trick. he was also surprised at the bloodlust she released just now, 'she's angry!' he glanced at faes and saw her focusing on sky her lips pressed in a thin line and her eyes serious.
he was alarmed when he noticed that faes was not only angry but seriously focused as if something was wrong and she was trying to correct it but he cant think of anything. it wasn't just the king but the queen and the two princes were also watching faes and thinking about the thing that got her so worked up to make her snap.
while everyone was busy with their own thoughts faes had calmed down and was able to focus properly now. she forced her mana and body to pull and absorb the excessive mana from the force field and finally the mana divided and one part changed its direction towards her coming at her in full force.
