" Blue scot ... blue scot...!!!"
An amazing day in the Island of ARI, as students were all highly elated for the much awaited speed soccer competition.
Students formed groups and cheered for their favourite teams, with the props and Jerseys.
There were no restrictions for people, age and occupations. Half of the Population visited the indoor stadium, to enjoy the match and to shower their support to the youngsters.
With the horns peeping, children playing, students cheering, staffs arranging necessary preparations, parents waiting and the players who stood nervous in the waiting hall, gave a happy sight to Principal Tom wales.
He gave a huge sigh and walked into the pavilion, with a pride face, as he was the main reason for the people's happiness, after the recent chaos.
His facial expression changed completely from kind to strict one, with a stern look and angry eyes, as soon as his foot touched the stage.
As a Head of the institution, he had never made a single mistake, in moulding up good and brave students. He knew everything about each and everyone in the campus and so he showed his hard nature in front of students for their wellness.
" Mmhmm"
At an instant, students heared Principal Tom clearing his throat on the mic, they all shut their mouth and sat in their respective chairs, in the speed of wind.
Students from kindergarten to super seniors from high school, had a great respect and obedience to his words. In addition to their quick obedience, they even made the visitors to sit in silence volunteerly.
Principal Tom controlled his smile, as the students behaviour made him happy. In the eyes of students, staffs and parents, he looked supercilious, but only the peoples who were dear to him, knew how cool and soft- natured he was.
" Good morning, everyone! Lets all cheer for the players who are practicing day and night, to grab this amazing opportunity to be a player in Golder Tiara. Atlise High competition takes immense pleasure in providing this opportunity to our students, to hold this competition. I want all my beloved players, participating in this tournament, to let go of the hardships y'all had faced so far and taste the sweetness of success from today", the Principal continued...
" I thank the sports Professor James Fitson for his marvellous coaching and support from selection till now. It's my pleasure to show my pleasing appreciation to our kind heart Mrs. Rosaria violet who volunteered in helping players play in peace and harmony. Ending my speech, I finally request the bots to open the Goal posts in both the ground and excited lane", saying Principal Tom pressed the red button.
The bots released the lock button, which made the steel gates in front of the four goal posts open. They made the players of all the eight teams, assemble in the middle of the ground.
Unlike normal matches, only captains of the nine teams entered the ground. But, before they all reached the middle, nine rectangular square tiles, came up from the ground, making a huge thud.
Five captains of Quilt, Black, Blue, white and Virtue scot stood on the first five tiles and the other four stood opposite to them, on the rest of tiles, facing each other.
Spectators wondered what was going on and they came a bit forward to see what that was about. The captains stood straight, with erect eyes and they held their hands backwards.
And once again, Principal Tom went up the stage and gave a heartbreaking news. He reminded them all about the pre- selection match that happened a month ago and he told them, that it's sole purpose was to select the best teams out of nine.
" I'm sorry to interrupt the opening rituals! But, I need to remind you all that the pre- selection match was held, only to pick out the best teams from the total. I feel sorry for the two teams , who will not be playing this year. So, the players are now standing on the SST ( System Selection Tiles), which will select the captains, the one's who can proceed in this tournament. Even, I don't know the results. It's Mr. Fitson and the System, who knew it. Let's not waste time any longer and now I'll hand over the selection process to the Lexi Assistant, SST", saying Principal Tom Wales, went off the stage and sat in his big golden chair.
The captains stood in full nervousness, facing each other's opponent. All the eight Tiles blinked red and green randomly, to make the players confused and nervous.
Suddenly, captain Patrick's and Bitley's Tiles moved few distance upward in great speed.
[ Congratulations Blue and Purple scot!] The Tile congratulated Patrick and Bitley for grabbing an opportunity to successfully proceed in the tournament.
The selection process went on for few more rounds, selecting the lucky teams Green, Black, Yellow, Quilt and Blood scot, eliminating Virtue and White scot.
Both the captains Nerden from white scot and Zeano from Virtue scot, stood alone in the Tile with a never- ending disappointment.
Biding farewell to them, by a consolation trophies and medals, Principal Tom made the audience clear about the rules of the main soccer match.
[ RULES OF THE MATCH ]
[ 1. With a team of 14 players, only 9 players are allowed in the ground lane and the remaining 5 should take positions on the excited lane]
[ 2. If both the teams, hadn't earned goals even at the end of time or if the game ties, then the refree declares golden hour]
[ 3. Golden hours happen in the excited lane and the soccer should be defended only by the 5:5 on excited lane.]
[ 4. players on the excited lane aren't allowed to pass or put goals on the goal post during the golden hour, only the one's in the ground lane are allowed to put the goal on the excited goal post]
[5. Players on the ground lane will be given only 5 attempts, to pass a goal from ground to the excited lane during Golden hours]
The first Tournament of the Atlise High competition became one of the most memorable and cherished memories, to all the spectators. Players showed their tricky Game, with a speed of wind, on their new shoes.
" Jason! Which team are you supporting today, Green or Purple scot?", Ailee who was sitting among the crowd, asked Jason.
" Probably, Green scot! Because of Patrick, I got to knew about the captain of Green scot Jacob and I like their playing tactics too", replied Jason.
With his close friends around, Jason enjoyed the first match joking and commentating with his friends. Every students face beamed in delight, as no one will control them until the end of Atlise High competition.
It was at that moment, Jason and his friends heard few students who talked about Jason among themselves," Look at who's sitting near us. Wow! I got completely mesmerized by his play that day, when he defeated the yellow scot in their childish challenge. My whole batch loves him", a girl who sat next to them talked proudly about Jason.
After Jason challenged and won the match against Grigor and yellow scot, he became the talk of the whole school. Most students in Amazing Intelligence became a fan of him and he seemed popular among Professors too.
Jason heard their gossiping and he understood why everyone looked at him strangely, while he entered the school that morning. He put up a shy smile on his face, when his friends teased him for his heroic playing.
While Jason laughed and played with his funny friends, his eyes suddenly spotted someone strange on the opposite pavilion staring at him for a long time. His body shook and his face sweat, when he found out that person resembling the young man, he saw at his house when he had that strange nightmare.
He trembled in fear, as he was already in a confused state, if the young man and the old man who'd caused him the blue eye are the same.
With just that one man staring at him, Jason experienced a deadly fear and loneliness, even though thousands of people surrounded him.
