In the dark, and damped room, only the smell of blood was the signifier that they were still alive. They couldn't see more than 3 feet away from their face. Fausto still shaken to the core about the events that took place, says nothing, only in his head, he chants to himself back and forth, bouncing off the walls of his psyche, "Please Bowie, let this be a nightmare." Everyone else just quietly sobs within the void, their soft cries amplify in Fausto's ears. Cocenered, John finally speaks through the darkness, "Fausto are you ok?", but Fausto doesn't answer back, he just stays on the ground with his head tucked in between his knees. "It's your not fault, Fausto. It was nothing you can do", says John trying to cheer hip but yet again, no response by the despondent Fausto.
