Chapter 57 - Varun Saves Her!

Somya knew this well that she wasn't skilled in fighting like Varun. So she only targeted those men who were already on the floor after getting hit by Varun. After all, she doesn't want to be a burden on him by falling into more trouble. So she supported Varun from the back.

Suddenly a fighting spirit got ignited in Somya out of nowhere, and she started attacking the people with a simper as if she was only playing with them. She started enjoying this now. And the thought of playing with the fire without getting burnt encouraged her to play more.

How could she, a mere beginner, successfully attack and dodge those men without any practice? Nobody knows the answer except the future itself!

When Somya was busy combating a bulky man, another person tried to attack her from her left side. When she finally noticed him, he had already raised his sword to slay her. It was too late for her to escape.

Just as his sword was about to come in contact with her skin, a hand grasped it mid-air. Somya flinched from the fear. She only managed to get out of her stance when she saw blood dripping from his hand.

In the dark night, under the moonlight opposite to a silver sword, the sight of his red blood was looking exquisite but still scary. She quickly moved the metal rod in her hand and hit the man on his head.

With a loud 'bang,' he collapsed on the floor. After it, Varun got back to deal with the others as if nothing happened, and Somya fought to get her focus back on the battle.

Soon, the fight got over, and only the leader was left conscious in the end while all his men were knocked unconscious by Somya and Varun. When the man was about to get up to run, he heard the wail of the police siren, and his face went pale.

A police van shortly reached them, and a handsome young officer came out from it. He gazed deeply at Somya before turning his head towards the unconscious people lying on the floor.

The cops handled everything else, and Somya and Varun were set free after a small interrogation.

What Somya didn't know was that the officer, who had come to rescue them was actually Varun's friend, whom he had texted earlier. He was Neel, the chief officer of Jaipur.

He interrogated them earlier, only to keep the pretense of Varun being a regular citizen.

'What a hypocrite Billionaire!' Neel mumbled to himself.

He was on a day off today and was resting in the arms of his lover when his friend, the legendary Kashyap, texted him suddenly. He was shocked to see that the friend of his, who rarely texts, suddenly wrote a whole paragraph explaining that he can't reveal his true identity in front of anyone there. It was only after reaching there did he realized that from 'anyone,' his friend meant Ms. Sharma who was standing next to him currently.

After sending them off, he quickly pulled out his phone to text Varun, 'Which sane person wants to hide his upper-class background from someone?! Isn't everyone interested in showing it off!'

'If you don't like your wealth that much, then you can just give it to me, and I will politely accept your burden, CEO Kashyap.' Neel snorted and got back in the van.

"Varun, your hand!" Somya shouted as soon as she saw him starting the car.

"Don't worry about it," he said indifferently.

"But.." Somya was still worried. Whenever she glances at his wounded hand, the scene of her almost getting sliced and him rescuing her, plays in her head. "It may get infected if we didn't treat it," she whispered to him. She can't bring herself to stare at his hand for more than a few seconds as she was afraid her self guilt might bring tears to her eyes.

Varun assumed that she wouldn't stop pestering him until his hand was in her view, so he quickly hides his injured hand and holds the staring wheel with his other one.

"This won't do!" Somya squealed at him. "Don't hide your hand in your pocket! Give it to me," she gestured by her hands, giving him her puppy-eyes look.

Varun can only sigh at her pitiful yet adorable tone.

"Don't bother! After dropping you home, I will go to the hospital. Is this alright?"

"No," she shook her head continuously to show her reluctance.

He looks at her face, which was on the verge of crying if he dare upset her again and a warmth unintentionally spread in his dark eyes.

"Fine, so tell me, what do you want?" he asked her softly.

She didn't say anything but only tears a piece of her saree. "Use it to gauze your wound," she replied meekly while offering her the piece of cloth.

Unknown to her, there was actually a first aid kit present in the car. But Varun stays quiet and only accepts her gauze while biting his lips to suppress his smile, which was daring to surface. He untidily wrapped the cloth around his injury and started the car.

At the same time, somewhere in the West, a man with a turban covering his dark hair and wearing neat clothes was kneeling on the floor.
