The sky was smothered with dark clouds which were ready to cry their hearts out any moment as it was one of their days to mourn. Their howls were interpreted as thunders by the diaphragm of the girl's ears who laid beneath them. Adjusting her eyes to the light as she rose from the darkness, she sat up straight.
"Lio," While rubbing her swollen eyes, she whispered the name that she had been saying for days and it didn't seem strange rolling over her tongue anymore.
As they had slept just a little away from the lake, she crawled near the water easily and washed her face. Even though she hadn't found him anywhere in sight, nor did he reply to her call, she wasn't worried and nor did she try to look for him because it wasn't the first time that happened. She was sure he must have woken up before her and went inside the forest to search for food.
