During the break, Garner hadn't said a word, not even when his kids were complaining about how everything had turned out. Instead, he was listening to them rant about the outcomes and the stupid ass decisions by the board, trying to understand how they were thinking.
He was trying to find a perspective that could explain whatever they were going through and frankly, none of all that made any sense to him. It wasn't like he would be asking his children about it either.
He was the bigger person, and he knew he had to step up.
When the break was over, everyone went back into the conference room, waiting for a clear explanation as to why they wanted the million-dollar compensation and boy were they ready.
