800 years ago, the world was at peace. People lived in harmony; although, there were a few battles it was all good, because that Is the nature of man. The night was peaceful as the night before it and the stars lit up the sky. Suddenly, the sky opened as if it was going to swallow up the earth. A blue light shone upon the earth. Every corner of the earth was lit up by the mysterious light; it was as bright as the sun and in a few minutes the light stopped. Tiny stars fell upon the earth each burning like the sun; but only half of the earth was affected by this catastrophe, the other half was completely fine. Our moon was moved to the other side of the earth which was unaffected by the tiny stars and a new moon appeared, 'a blue moon'.
The oceans got angry and wiped-out cities, countries and people all around the world. The world was devastated by the sudden and unpredictable series of events. Billions of people, plants and animals died, and billions suffered. It was hell on earth that lasted for years and all life on earth had to adapt.
No one knows how and why our second moon, 'the blue moon' appeared on earth but it did and that changed life as we know it forever since then.
"Wow!!" exclaimed the student walking through the halls as they listened to Mrs. park's story.
"So, this is why we have two moons huh; why were we not told this at the academy. Instead, they though us Mathematics" said Sota.
The group laughed.
"Well, how are we gonna tell the story here and entertain you if you already knew about it" joked Mrs. Park.
"We will be heading to the hall soon, prepare yourselves and try not to be overwhelmed" said Mrs. Park and she slowly opened a metal door that seemed to weigh a ton. It was surprising to the students, but a few were turned on. The door opened and a bright light shone on their faces. They were immediately overwhelmed by the humongous room filled with soldiers, giant aircrafts, weapons, ships and futuristic technology.
All the boys' eyes lit up as they drooled with excitement, each one of them trying hard to keep their composure. Sota yells "Yahooooo" which echoed throughout the enormous room. All eyes turned over to the group and the students were embarrassed.
"You idiot" whispered Annie in embarrassment which got followed up by a slight knock on the head.
"Alright kids, we are gonna go over to the left and wait for a commander to come address you. Stand and wait there while I go call him."
The students impatiently waited for Mrs. Park to arrive. 10 minutes had passed, and Mrs. Park was not back, as the students continued waiting soldiers of all status passed them constantly each looking at them weirdly.
"They are underestimating us" said Kon in disgust.
"How do you know" replies Sasha.
"I just know, I see that look every time. They always do that to me, and I can always tell the difference. It's pathetic" replied Kon with a look of disgust.
Suddenly, a loud thud echoed. it was the sound of soldiers at attention as the saluted someone. "General Raya Stronghold has entered, stand at attention" a voice yelled. General Raya slowly walked towards the students. She had a change of clothes from before but still wore the General jacket and the long blade on her waist.
"She respects us" said Kon
"Huh"
"She respects us. Her eyes, she is sad and angry but it's not towards us. Only respect is directed towards us"
"Shush" said Annie, "she is about to address us."
Raya stood Infront of the groups of students, they stood in attention as she got ready to address them.
"Normally Your commander would address you now, but I have decided to take charge for this group. Welcome to the revolution, I do not need to tell you why you're here, but we are happy and thrilled to accept so many young and bright bodies into the revolution. You are highly appreciated. Before I continue with the customaries, I have some information I need to address to you personally. Yesterday you were attacked by the wildfire tyrants" said Raya as she gritted her teeth.
Sota begun thinking, "a day had passed, sheesh, I didn't even notice"
"Yesterday you were attacked by the wildfire tyrants, and I am sorry to say that it was not a test. You were actually attacked, and your lives were in danger."- Raya
"Huh, what? What do you mean? Is this a joke?" murmured the students.
"You are all lucky to be alive. Unknowingly the wildfires figured out our transport route and attacked your ship. You were ambushed and unable to prepare countermeasures. We apologize." -Raya
"Huh" Yelled one of the students. Do you understand what you're saying? Don't joke with us!
"Hey, don't you yell at the General" yelled a random soldier but was stopped by Raya.
"What happened to the missing students" A girl in the back asked as tears began to roll down her eyes.
The group was in uproar, everyone was confused, angry, and afraid. They began to yell questions which they all had on their minds.
"So that's why she was sad and angry" murmured Kon
"Kon, what are we going to do? Looks like you were right" asked Israel to Kon.
"I don't know but let's hear what she has to say. We may get an explanation." -Kon
"Everybody please calms down" yelled Mrs. Park.
The rowdiness calmed down a bit and Raya was given some room to speak. She was worried about the students and with an aching heart she said, "Every missing student as of right now is presumed dead."
Immediately everyone was quiet, the news had hit the students too hard. "It was not a test? People died on their first day. We have just arrived. I don't want to do this anymore. I'm scared." The students remained shook, a few of them who were related to the missing persons broke down in tears. Although Israel and Sasha remained unflustered, no one knew what was going on their head, but different emotions were shown at the moment.
"Again, we apologize and will do everything in our power to continue looking for them. Those of you who do not want to join the revolution after our mistake are free to leave, but don't forget you have been informed about the dangers of joining the revolution beforehand. The world is harsh, and the missions will only get more dangerous. Those of you who wish to leave, leave now. Before you leave don't forget that you came here to be soldiers". Raya yelled to the students.
Everyone stood contemplating their choice. Should I leave? Should I stay? Soon after, a few students begun separating from the group, they continued to increase in number. 5, 8, 15, 25, 41. They slowly walked away; some in shame, some in terror. 41 recorded students left the revolution on their first day. This was historical.
"Those of you who remained, I commend you. Normally we would have tested you at the tournament/arena to get the strong, but you survived an attack from the wildfires, so I think that's enough tests for you. You are strong and welcome to the Revolution."
