Chapter 8 - Chapter 8

ONE WEEK LATER, the 120 students who were attacked by the wildfire tyrants were officially members of the revolution. The rest of the freshers were due to take tests, battles and mission for the revolutionaries to make a final decision. We were given an opportunity to also join the others in case we want to gauge our strength compared to others but our status as revolutionaries would not be affected. A few accepted the request, but I am still considering the decision.

This morning the students got dressed and had breakfast. Sota changed from his usual tank top with trashy pants to a white shirt, blue jeans and a red long-sleeved jacket. "This week a battle royale was being held in order to see our individual battle skills and after a long and well thought out process I finally decided to NOT participate in the battle royale." thought Sota.

"Oi Sota what's your decision on this week's battle royale, are you going to join?" asked Anie as she puts on her jacket.

"Hell no. That's unnecessary I'm already a member of the revolution I don't want to bother. How about you" replied Sota

"Well, I have decided to participate I want to impress General Raya; I really look up to her" Anie smiled with excitement

"Oi, Sota, Anie what's up. Are you gonna participate at the battle royale? I heard about 300 students are gonna participate this year, apparently it's the biggest recorded number of students participating in a year; although we are the biggest group of freshers ever, I want to win" Kon shouted while running towards Sota and Annie with Israel and Sasha walking slowly behind him.

"Anie is gonna participate apparently she wants to become the leader of the revolution" replied Sota while smirking as he had turned away from Anie.

Anie began blushing and kicked Sota in the balls from behind, "Will you shut up I never said that"

"Well Sasha, Israel and I already registered, we are gonna participate. I am so excited I can't wait"

"I have already made up my mind I am not interested in the battle royale" said Sota

Israel with a look of confusion, "I'm surprised you of all people don't want to participate, your always rash and impulsive why have you made this decision?"

"You don't have to know" whispered Sota as he walked away from the group.

"What's wrong with him?" asked Sasha

"I don't know, I guess after his loss to the wildfire leader guy he doesn't want to get back into a fight soon" said Anie.

With his hand in his pocket Sota walked to the library, "Hmm, what do I do when I want info about someone? I didn't really think this through. These are a lot of books about the work of the revolution they didn't teach us about in school. Yosh, let's get started; I am gonna read all 12 books before the evening."

5 minutes later.

Sota is sleeping on a pile of books with a long streak of drooling dripping off his mouth.

"Sup, Sota"

"Sota wake up, what are you doing here"

"Huh, who is that and why are you waking me up you bastard" yelled Sota

"What are you doing sleeping on a pile of books. It's me Somia from a few days ago"

"Somia?? I don't remember you. Leave me alone"

"It looks like you were searching for something or someone. Is it your father? "Asked Somia

Suddenly a jolt of energy shot through Sota's body, as he yelled "How do you know?" in doing that got the attention of everyone else in the library. "Ssssshhhhhhhhhhh!!!!" repeated everyone at the library.

"Relax, you told me last week remember" said Somia

Sota did not remember their previous encounter but nodded, yes.

"If it's your dad you're searching for, you won't find anything here. You must get InTouch with one of the higher ups they probably have a lot of information regarding your father. I went back to the history hall a while ago to check who your dad was; there was someone who kind of looked like you, but his rank and previous position was undisclosed. All that was written was important person, that's all."

"Oh really, well then if I have to ask any senior, I'll go straight to the number one of the revolutions." Sota laughed heroically as he pumped up his chest.

"Are you crazy do you know how powerful and busy she is? You won't be able to get an audience with her" exclaimed Somia, he continued trying to convince Sota to look for someone lower in stature.

"Sota! the General has requested a meeting with you. You must attend at once" A huge shadow covered Somia and Sota simultaneously. A tall extremely big, bodied man wearing the revolutions guard uniform and a gun by his side, saluted Sota and presented the message to him from the General.

Somia laid on the floor in shock. "Just who are you Sota and why is the General seeking an audience with you. Are you that important?" words could not explain Somia's surprise in the situation; but shortly afterwards Sota was escorted to the Generals office.

As Sota opened the door he was hit by a bright light as he raised his hands to protect his eyes. His eyes adjusted slowly to the light, a godly figure with a heavenly light behind her greeted Sota.

"Welcome Sota, how was your day" in a soft but equally authoritative voice the general spoke to Sota. She sat on a chair behind a desk and her long sword resting by the side of the table.

"What do you want from me?" Sota seemingly felt a little hostile as he slowly walked closer towards Raya. The atmosphere was tense as both stared down each other, like a staring contest each trying to dominate the other. A few seconds passed and Sota had lost the contest, he embarrassingly looked away as he comfortably walked towards the general with his hands in his pockets.

"Where have I seen you before?" asked Sota.

"I know you're the general and all and your photos are everywhere, but I swear I have seen you from somewhere" asked Sota, this time slowly scanning the General from bottom to top.

"Do you have a family, Sota. A father mother or even siblings?" Raya stood up from her seat to shake Sota's hands as she asked.

"Why do you ask me that?" Sota replied.

"You don't answer a question with a question young man" said Raya as she slowly scanned Sota from top to bottom.

They shook hands. Raya went back to her seat while Sota stood Infront of her desk facing her.

"I am going to ask you one more question and I hope you answer me this time, but before you answer my question there is something you must know. I know your father."
