Ryan was sitting in his Study room and was drinking whisky, his mood was gloomy so was the environment of the study room, it was stuffed with smoke, Ryan was in deep thought and was not able to understand why he behaved like this in front of her, Ryan never lost his patience in front of anyone, this was the first time he lost his cool. He was not able to understand what that woman was doing to him? He was disappointed with himself.
Ryan kept the glass on the table and got up from his chair, he called Mark and told him to book tickets to London, as he had to attend a seminar there. Ryan looked out of the window and found Cherry sitting on the swing in the garden, he felt heaviness in his heart.
No matter how hard he tried to win her over with his gentleness it would never worked on her. He knew this thing very well that the love and hate relationship between them will never gonna make it easy for them to live in harmony.
Cherry was sitting on the swing and was thinking about the things Ryan just did to her, this time he hurt her soul and she was not able to understand the different feeling in her heart. Cherry was looking at the stars in the sky, she was talking to her mother by looking at the sky,
"Hey mom, how are you doing out there? I'm doing fine mom, you don't need to think about me, I'm taking good care of myself, you know mom I have made a lot of progress in finding the person who has ruined our family and happiness. Very soon I'll serve him his own medicine. I love you mom, please stay by my side."
Cherry got up and before going inside again looked at the sky, she went inside and closed the door behind her, Cherry went to her room and laid on the bed, she covered herself with the duvet, suddenly her phone started beeping, she picked her phone and looked at the screen, it was a message from Chris, he invited her on his engagement, she heaved a sigh in sadness and kept the phone on the nightstand, soon she drifted to sleep.
Cherry got up early in the morning by the sound of the car, she saw Ryan getting into the car with his luggage, Cherry didn't pay much attention to it, She went to the bathroom and took a warm bath, she came after one hour and sat on the bed, she went to the kitchen and cooked breakfast for herself, Cherry was deciding that she should attend the engagement party or not. Cherry thought for some time and then decided to attend the engagement.
Charles was doing some work in his office when Cherry called him, "Hey Charles, what's your plan for today."
"Nothing I'm in the office doing work," Charles answered flatly.
"Will you please come shopping with me, I have to buy a gift for Chris for his engagement," Cherry said nervously.
"Yes, of course, I also need to buy a gift for my best friend," Charles replied smilingly.
"Then I'll come to your office in two hours and then we will head out for shopping," Cherry replied and hung up the call.
Charles and Cherry went to the mall and did the shopping, Charles told Cherry that he would pick her up for engagement.
Cherry wore a vine colour knee-length, side silt off-shoulder gown, she wore black stiletto and applied natural makeup, she kept her hair open which comes up to her waist. She was looking so beautiful in her dress, She took a silver clutch with it. Charles came and called her from the gate, Cherry came out of the cottage and started walking towards the main gate, Charles looked at her with wide eyes, he was stunned by her beauty, Cherry climbed into the car and they drove off to the venue.
Cherry entered the venue by crossing her arm in his, they both walked inside the venue, Chris was wearing a white Tuxedo and was looking so dashing with him there was a girl who was wearing a sky blue colour gown, she was looking stunning and was very beautiful. Cherry walked towards Chris's mother and father and wished them, they both smiled and greeted her properly, Chris's mother pulled her into a tight hug.
Cherry pulled herself from the hug and brightly smiled at them, the Cherry walked towards Chris, she hugged him and said,
"Congrats Chris, I'm really happy for you, You are not going to introduce me to your fiance."
Chris smiled and said, "Princess, she is my fiance Hazel Choi and Hazel she is my princess, my childhood friend Cherry Yang."
Cherry hugged Hazel and said, "Congratulation, may God bless you and live a happy together, my best wishes are with you."
Cherry left them and moved towards the corner of the venue, Cherry was feeling relaxed after watching Chris with Hazel. Cherry took a glass of whisky, and started drinking it, Charles came and sit in front of Cherry and said, "Are you okay, sweetie."
"Yes, I'm good", Cherry said calmly.
"Cherry, you need not pretend to behave strong," Charles said concerned.
"I'm fine Charles, it's not like I loved him, I'm happy for him, he got a perfect match for himself", Cherry said softly and gulped the whole whisky.
Charles held her hand and took her out of the venue, they both climbed into the car and drove off. Charles pulled the car in front of the beach, they both got out and started walking towards the beach, Charles handed her a bottle of beer, they both drank the beer and walked bare feet on the sand, it was getting cold, Cherry started shivering because of it, Charles took out his coat and placed it on her shoulders.
Charles looked into her eyes and said, "Cherry always remember that I'll always stand by her side."
Cherry nodded her head and smiled weakly at him, Charles held her hand and took her to the car they both drove off. Cherry reached Zang's villa and got out of the car, she went inside the cottage and slumped into the sofa, her total energy was drained. She closed her eyes and tried to calm down.
Charles reached home and called everyone for a meeting, Charles was adamant to keep Cherry by her side, he ordered his men to keep an eye on every move of Ryan, he knew his potential very well but he wanted to make sure to keep himself one step ahead of him.
