Being found guilty and possibly beheaded for the crime proved to be a problem for Genghis, he needed to do something about the situation, and the only way he knew how was through confronting his men who he had placed them to do the task in the first place. Although they were heavily guarded in the dungeon where no one was allowed to visit them, Genghis was after all a governor with power of persuasion and anyone close to me was regarded highly and given opportunities than those who were distant.
