"No thickhead. When you fell from the hell!", grim would've won an award already if it were a contest of teasing Ellen because he had annoyed the shit out of the baffled girl.
"Well, who said I fell? I fly over above the clouds and you indeed meant Heaven. Isn't it?", not only Ellen had lost her senses, so did grim. He wasn't allowed to disclose the information with anyone that he was sharing with Ellen. But who was gonna believe him anyway? Ellen? The girl already had inklings about grim being paranoid but now she was sure up to skies!
Ellen's eyes looked everywhere around their surroundings but grim. She was trying to come up with the best possible response for grim but she seemed to be tight-lipped whenever she looked at grim. A few minutes ago, she almost believed that the boy who was walking by her side was cute, despite being a true flirt, but now she also concluded that he wasn't only a flirt who had a cute side as well but a maniac!
"What are you looking at? I know my eyes are alluring but I forbid you to look into them straight for minutes without even blinking", grim stepped closer towards Ellen, clearly voicing out the reality for the latter since she would never admit that she had looked so deeply into his eyes.
"You abnormal freak! Oh my God, what did I do to be dealing with someone like you at this hour rather than plopping onto my couch and watching Netflix!", Ellen cursed herself for blowing out such important moments of the day with someone who had no sense to talk. Grim wasn't making any sense to her. How could he? No one would believe the person who goes around saying he flies above the clouds. Would you?
"We can do it now", closing the gap between them from stepped closer to her, wearing a playful grin.
"Or you've plans of doing something more interesting, little fawn?", gliding the tongue over the bottom lip, he gave it a bite and looked seductively in Ellen's eyes. Luring. Grim's eyes could make anyone lost in their charm within seconds. Yes, the power his eyes held and the dominance voicing itself out of his personality, nobody was even near to the line to refuse his presence but the little fawn. What on earth the girl really was? How could she resist, above all, talkback, call him names and insult the immortal all the time from anything to everything? Nonetheless, grim never took bad-mouthing of this mortal being as a personal affront.
He was enjoying his time while playing with her emotions and seeing the vehemence of her reactions.
A play nobody knew could take their lives at the stake of death. A play that could bring havoc and chaos to both worlds, mortals and immortals. A play no one was ever ready to go to any lengths and pay the cost of.
On this account, why would he stupidly go down the perilous, rocky path that could decimate his dignified and exalted life?
No sense by any means. No sense by all the means but if one is excluded. No one knew what would happen.
"Yes, I've. Popcorns and a good movie without you gluing around me!", she uttered with indignation. Grim's hot breath fanning over her soft face, his kissable lips only inches apart and his seductive looks trying to cast a spell. Still, she wasn't affected by any of it. She wouldn't allow herself to let the guard downs and fall into another heartbreaking trap. Not this soon after the first breakup.
"Dickhead", she muttered under her breath and turned around to unlock the door. Upon opening it, she peeked from over her shoulder to confirm as she could still feel the presence of grim. She wanted to have some time alone. She could feel the blood rushing to her cheeks, warming up the whole body, the heat emitting out of her face. Her heart was beating hard against the cage.
'What's making me feel flustered in the dark of night? The weather? No sense. I walk down these streets in the same weather every night. Am I wearing too many pieces of clothes? Yeah, might be. But no! I've only a jacket over my shirt. Then could it be because of this freak? Sha- No! He's such a pervert, freak manipulating my mind!'
"What's taking you this long?", halting the train of her thoughts, grim decided to break the ice.
"What's that!", Ellen turned around faking a surprised look and pointed behind grim. Just as grim rotated his body to see what Ellen was referring to, Ellen rushed inside and slammed the door shut.
"I made it", breathing in and out heavily, she leaned against the door and smiled. She was happy that grim didn't notice her flushed cheeks.
It never happened to her before. With her ex-boyfriend, things went pretty smoothly. He confessed his feelings one day. They started dating. Having dinners, dates and regular kisses only on cheeks. Ellen hadn't let the boy kiss her on the lips yet. As if little did she knew that they were not going to work together and she definitely didn't like the thought of having someone who she wasn't sure would be with her in the future, steal her first-ever kiss, capture her lips and savour the taste of them. Though it looked boring as hell to Chloe. She even told Ellen to step up their relationship and so did her ex-boyfriend, she was persistent going at her own pace. Later, he was satisfied with her decision as her ex turned out a cheater, f*cking girls on her back. She was glad that she didn't lose her virginity to someone like him.
Grim stood outside smiling all over what Ellen just did. He decided not to check the patience limit of his little fawn and started walking towards the hotel he was staying at. After reaching there, he threw his body freely on the bed and snuggled with a warm blanket.
Today, he had the most normal day of his life. Evening stroll, a coffee that happened to be his favourite one from now on, and his little fawn. She did behave oddly as compared to their other meetings, she was just odd anyway. Therefore, he didn't give it another thought and nestled the blanket all around his body to feel the warmth.
Now, this was unwonted of him. Why was his body reacting to the climate of the earth or he did that instinctively?
It was not a turmoil to be dealt with if the act was out of instinct. Relaxing his body was what he also used to do in the realm of skies, however, the mean would be nothing but sex. Seeking the warmth was what he had never done ever since he remembered himself flying and writing names in the Death Note. He didn't even seek warmth when he was betrayed and hurt.
Yes. He once was also hurt. Hurt down to the hell that it took him every cell in his body to throw the word 'consideration' out of his body for all the created beings. Not that he was very caring, there just happened to be a few creatures he was very much considerate towards. Even he couldn't fight his fate. Despite going to every damn length, he couldn't escape his fate. That developed a new belief that made him tick. A view, mindset that made him take millions, not limited to a number, of lives without sparing a glance of pity at his preys.
A standpoint that shaped his new outlook on life.
One should be a bit clingy to their fate.
