I knocked twice on the Alpha's thick wooden door to his office. I have been in here once before, and right now is the second time.

I was told by Beta Theodore that Alpha Rionee wants to see me, but he never told me what it was about. I should be nervous, but unfortunately, I am not.

Not even the slightest jitters.

I should be nervous, seeing how the others came in fine but came out never the same. Or is it all just me? Who knows what the Alpha wants. He's an unpredictable dude.

"Come in," a deep voice spoke behind the door. I turn the knob and look at the person behind the desk, reading some papers.

I stepped inside and slowly closed the door with a click. Seeing me enter, he put aside the papers he was reading and sat up straight. His expression turning serious.

His office is still the same since the last time I was here, so bland and boring, just like the Alpha he is.

"You called?" I asked while still standing near the door. I folded my arms while giving him the expression of I'd-rather-train-to-death-than-be-here.

I have a bad feeling about this.

"Take a seat," he said while motioning his hand to the seat in front of his desk. I narrowed my eyes suspiciously at him, clearly not liking how serious this conversation is turning out to be. He just dismissed my wariness and smiled. "Don't worry, you'll be out of here in no time," he adds— well that didn't help at all.

I hesitantly take a seat and wait for him to continue, my expression not betraying what I was feeling inside. I really wanted to just walk out of here. But, that would be very disrespectful towards the Alpha Rionee.

No matter how much I detest his kind I'm still grateful that he took me in— that the pack took me in. Some may have some prejudice against me but who cares, he's the Alpha anyway.

I know that not every werewolf is evil, it's just that wherever I see one my blood automatically boils especially to those I held a grudge with.

He clears his throat before speaking. "You'll attend the Grand Royal Games this year," he stated, making it clear that it's not a request but an order.

After hearing what he said, I snapped my eyes towards his, making eye contact with his dark green eyes.

Why the actual f*ck is he spewing nonsense now?

I look at him like he grew one hundred heads. I feel like I want to choke him. No, I want to choke the life out of him for even suggesting such a stupid idea. Does he even realize that the palace where the Grand Royal Events take place is filled with creatures that I loathe to the bone?

I clenched my hand into a fist while trying to control my emotions. He should send his daughter since every Alpha wants power, especially to this kind of event.

Oh, he knew his precious little daughter wouldn't even stand a chance— such a shame.

"What?" I asked him exasperatedly.

I wanna get out of this pack as soon as I finished my training, and it's almost done. This is my last f*cking month, and now he's telling me that he's sending me to a werewolf-infested place? Worst than here? Is he f*cking with me? I could not even stand the sight of them, and now he's sending me to a place full of them?

"Since my daughter, Everlee will attend the Grand Royal's Gala, it would be good for you to attend the Grand Royal's Game. This is a good opportunity for you," He said it so casually like I already agreed, but do I even have a f*cking choice?

Thank God it was Everlee. If it was the other sister, I don't think I can even breathe the same air as her. I think I might just push her out of the palace's window and accidentally kill her.

As if that would kill a werewolf.

"Not happening, Alpha," I grit out, feeling annoyed by his sudden proclamation. He should know how I loathe his kind.

He does not have the right to do this to me. I am not part of the pack in the first place, so... no, not happening. Ever.

Wait. Sh*t! The deal I made with him has now backfired.

I will let you stay for as long as you like and have you train to get stronger but, heed one request of mine no matter what.

"I'm afraid... it is non-negotiable, Azalea," he does not even try to hide his grin as if he just won this battle. The nerve of this guy, how dare he. How dare he use that agreement between us. "Prepare now because tomorrow you will depart," He continued, still looking smug.

Sh*t

I'm doomed!
