Soon, they reached his office .
"Ok, see you later .. bye !"
"Hmm, I am definitely gonna irritate you soon " said Jennie as she made a playful expression on her face. James laughed listening to her . She was really something.
After dropping James , Jennie decided to go to her company as it has been long since she went there. In about 30 mins , she reached the building. It was a huge and glamorous but she knew it was nothing but show off.
She went through the front door and was continuing to go to meet her manager but suddenly a shrill voice echoed in the lobby.
"Oh , hii Ms. Jennie . It's been long since I saw you here . Seems like you don't even have the time to come to company . Have you been giving services to someone these days ??"
Jennie turned around to see a voluptuous body of a woman who had heavy makeup on her face and by the look of her dress , Jennie could tell that she had bought the copies of original luxury brands.
"Miss..Umm , Do I know you?"asked Jennie as she roamed her eyes all over her body amusingly.
"Ohh, Sorry to not introduce myself , Its just that everyone recognizes me wherever I go , So , It did not come to my mind to introduce myself. I am Ella Jane , also a singer contracted by the company . I guess we are colleagues..."
"Oo, I am really sorry for not recognizing you , Its just that as you already told , I am quite busy serving my fans with best content , so that they can be satisfied. It quite tough being famous . Also, tens of rookies are debuting everyday , I can't remember everyone, I don't have a great memory , you know.."
Ella gritted her teeth in anger because of her reply. She was raging in anger because this Jennie had given the audition along with her on the same day. She would have been selected if she was not there but because judges were smitten by Jennie , she was disqualified. Now, she finally got to the fame because of some means she used . So, she really wanted to eradicate Jennie from her way but it seems like she was a tough one.
Jennie started to walk again but suddenly she turned around and glanced at Ella.
"If I am not wrong , then the dress you are wearing is Balenciaga's newly launched Spring collection dress . Its about 10 million dollar. I guess you are very rich.. " spoke Jennie in a sarcastic way as she smirked at her last words.
Listening to her , murmurs started to be heard in the lobby , people started to gossip about how can a rookie wear such an expensive dress.
"She is a rookie , how can she wear that unless..."
"Oh, I already knew that behind this angel face was a white lotus hiding . Look at her being all proud."
"And she even dared to insult Miss Laurence, I am sure she has guts ."
All kinds of murmurs were heard by Ella. She was fuming in anger but she was embarrassed as well because she knew that Jennie had found out that this dress was a copy. That was why she insulted her. She didn't know anything about the dress because it was given by her manager and she said that everyone will swoon over her after wearing this dress. She took an oath in her mind that she will not spare this Jennie Laurence. After listening to all comments, she immediately left the building because it was not of any use to stay there any longer.
Jennie also left the lobby and went into the elevator to meet her manager.
Kaylie was typing things on her computer when Jennie knocked on her door. Kaylie permitted to enter inside but she did not even lift her head until now.
"Seems like you are busy !"
After hearing Jennie's voice , Kaylie jolted up from her seat and gazed at her .
"I know I am pretty but I am straight . So, sorry to disappoint you."
"Ahem..ahem.. Who said I was thinking that you are pretty.. I was just looking at you to make sure that you really were here or not.. I have been getting quite some hallucinations these days , you know.. Btw , What made you come here ?"
"Ohh, I see . That ,I just came to check on you . Why , am I not allowed to do so?" asked Jennie as she showed her puppie eyes to Kaylie.
"Yeah..YEAH , you are always welcome. Its just that it is not common to see you unless you have a comeback or performance. "
"Is it? Ohk, coming to the point . How is your father ? I am really sorry for causing you such a big trouble. "
"He is very fine now , and you don't need to be sorry , I was just helping you . I am AN ANGEL you know"
She also put her palms on her face to make a cute face . Seeing her acting cute , Jennie chuckled .
Actually, Jennie was told by Kaylie about the call which asked about her indentity when the caller kidnapped her father. Jennie assured her that nothing would happen to her father and asked her to play along with the caller. So , Kaylie gave the information to Lu Feng's men . After which the fire incident happened and everything became crystal clear to Jennie to execute her plan on Lu Feng. She deliberately gave him an opportunity to harm her because she needed a good reason to kill him other than her indentity being known to him.
"That is good , and about the interviews. When are they supposed to happen?
"They will be conducted on Friday . "
"And what about this new rookie , Ella Jane? She is quite a scheming person. "
"Oh , don't even talk about her . She was accepted in the Company because of some lowly means . She even dares to order everyone as if she is the owner of the company . I never knew that our company has stooped to such low standards. "
