~Don't fear, I'm here~
"And to what do we owe this pleasant visit" despite the futility of it, Cylan leans diagonally in the doorway and smiles warmly at the sudden guests. And of course, in response to his warm greeting.
"Humph, you still possess not an ounce of manners I see, to think you would not immediately invite us in" with a nose that attempts to high five the clouds and her pressed lip's corners seeking a hug from her pointy chin, a woman in a creaseless dress suit speaks out in a gravelly voice.
"Yes, you're right Quincen, my bad. This apologetic cousin of yours invites you into his home. Of course, if you show up unannounced early in the morning you must be welcomed in." Cylan smiles at his cousin as he steps aside and makes a gesture inviting them in.
"Humph, whose cousin are you" with the heavy clicking of her heels she walks past him into the house with the rest of the visitors following behind.
With his smile never leaving his face, Cylan closes the door and follows them.
"Right this way"
He takes them to the outer living room and invites them to sit on the long couch. It must be noted that the living room had one amber eyed beauty occupying it, her were calming roaming over the pages of a mystery novel. Despite the addition of people in the room, those eyes never left the book, and there wasn't even a twitch in her crossed legs.
"So, to what do we owe this pleasant visit?" Cylan once again asks as he places a thin blanket over her shorts clad legs.
Obviously displeased at Andriet's disregard, they ignore Cylan and three pairs look over at her in displeasure while the other two, well one had their attention on the container of salt on the table between them and Andriet and the other was the only one in the room with their attention on Cylan only this attention was burning hatred.
"It seems his bad manners are contagious, to think you would not only ignore guest but to do so dressed so inappropriately." With an upturned nose, she scrutinizes the silver haired beauty who was still dressed in her silk nightwear. Her bottom half was covered curtesy of Cylan but her spaghetti strap top was on full display and as she wasn't blessed in that area, she didn't bother wearing her bra as it didn't make a difference.
"It seems your mother is contagious, to think you would not only behave like her, but to do so dressed like her 60-year-old self." without looking up Andriet spoke calmly as she turned the page of her novel.
"How dare you, my mother is only 46!" her words infuriated the haughty woman to the point she jumps to her feet. She stretches her hand and points at Andriet, her eyes spitting fire. The bracelets she wore shook with her movement.
Andriet slowly closes her book and places it beside the salt container. With no expression in either her face or voice, she finally looked across from herself and at the woman who critiqued them both upon entry.
"So, you both purposefully dress like old ladies, you had such unique tastes, who would have thought?"
This completely set Quincen over the edge and she points her finger at Andriet and expressed her anger through many rage filled words. Slight tremors could be felt by all the persons in the rooms and the decors were visibly vibrating.
Andriet ignored the other's obvious fury and finally took in the entire room. Two pairs of eyes were on her; the steaming Quincen and the dazed Serensi who alternated looking at her and the salt container; seemingly finding both interesting. The other two were the opposite gender twins who were anxiously trying to calm the angry oversized vibrator. The final of the 'guests' also wore an expression of fury, but his was that of deep rooted hatred as if he wanted to kill the person he was looking at on the spot. That person being Cylan, who since earlier withdrew and gave Andriet the floor to mess with his family. He simply looked out to make sure nothing important fell during the random earthquake the room was experiencing.
"Are you ignoring me?" seeing Andriet reaching back for the book on the table Quincen asks through gritted teeth.
"Are you stupid?"
"So, you are ignoring me!"
"So, you are stupid" from beginning to end that voice did not change its tone.
"YOU-"
BANG
Just when Quincen was about to go insane from anger, a loud bang sounded and all eyes were drawn to its source.
All eyes were on the bear-like man, who had slammed his hands down on the table and stood up while huffing. Since he had arrived, he had his eyes trained solely on Cylan, his gaze so poisonous that it alone could strike a man dead. Like an enraged krog he growled at the ginger-head who despite being the full recipient of the hulk like man's anger, remained smiling.
"Enough of this crap Quincen." he snarled and even when address someone else his gaze remained on its initial target.
Being shouted at by the enraged man, Quincen couldn't help but deflate. "She started it." while weakly muttering this she quickly sat down.
"Now, now Garthox that's no way to talk to a lad-, female and your own cousin at that." remarked Cylan had been leaning on the wall with crossed arms.
It seems Cylan's words or maybe it was his voice itself, were like pouring water into hot oil as at a visible rate more veins appeared along the man's skin and his face was almost the same color as Andriet eyes, only not as pretty.
"You dare speak about how to treat a person after what you have done, you murderer?" Through clenched teeth, the enraged man spat these words.
"Oh, so it was you this morning?" Cylan said with a look of realization "murderer? Yeah, you definitely said that this morning, so what's that about"
"This morning?" Andriet looks at her best friend in confusion. "Didn't you say it was some joker service?"
Cylan gave her a silent look and raised a brow. 'And?'
"Well, I guess you were right?" she shrugs and goes back to her book, holding no interest in Garthox's anger.
Their exchange was of course seen by the other people in the room and the last thread of Garthox's sanity seemed to snap and he charged right Cylan. As he moved his skin slowly changed from his feet up, bronze flesh hardens and turns silver. The tremors produced from the heavy steps of his transformed body give of a more sinister feeling compared to those of Quincen's anger, it was like comparing a light drizzle to a thunderstorm.
He stops just inches away from Cylan. Heavy huffs and puffs come from his metallic lips. Each heavy breath he released lands squarely on Cylan's face, so although his smile never left, disgust could be seen in his eyes if one paid attention. Only two other people in the room picked that up, as the others only saw him as a smiling fool. The cause of his feeling of disgust just looked at him with squinted eyes.
"You murderer, you dare mock me!" he shouts, and his repetitive accusations and word choice caused a few people some ire.
'You fucking said that already can you move on and say something actual interesting.'
'Does this fool have no other words in his vocobulary, didn't Cylan say he is a joker but the only funny thing about him is his face.'
"How draining"
Serensi's eyes widened a bit when he realized he spoke aloud. All attention was now placed on the person who let their thoughts slip out.
"Ahem. Well cousin, how about you explain what happened. Even if you believe Cylan knows what you are talking about, how about to clarify for the sake of the person whose home we are in?" he diverts the attention off himself and directs the conversation to silver head across from him.
"Humph, as if, I bet that bitch was in on it too." Garthox spits.
Garthox turned his head back to look at the others in the room when he gave his response so he didn't notice the murderous look now coming from once smiling man. If Garthox's anger made one intimidated and tremble, the look in those emerald eyes would petrify the recipient and strangle their heart though they were staring death itself in the face.
Luckily, everyone had their eyes on Andriet. But Andriet spied the trembling plant in the corner of her eyes.
'Enough with these clowns'
Even if she wasn't taking Cylan into account, she, for one, did not take kindly to being insulted. Plus, they were contaminating the air of the villa.
"Explain" she placed the book down and leaned back, her actions causing the blanket to fall down. Cylan left his position on the wall and covered her legs back with the blanket, Andriet held his hand to stop him from leaving. Cylan's emotions calmed a bit, and the forced smile he wore became his regular smile again as he held her hand and sat on the arm of the sofa she was in.
Andriet's words were directed at the person who had let their thoughts slip earlier. She was sick of their presence and wanted to be rid of them as soon as possible. With a bored face, she leaned against the man seated beside her and waited for Serensi to start speaking. Cylan's emotions had not fully settled, as his fingers played in her hair to calm himself.
"Well, Ms. Mavros, I believe you both are aware of the attacks that have been happening in the city?"
At his words, Andriet gaze flickers slightly and Cylan's fingers froze, both of them did not expect that to be brought up so they were caught off guard.
"Of course, Serensi, who doesn't? it has been on the news for so long?" Cylan answers and Andriet keeps quiet but she looks at the questioner giving a silent agreement.
"Well, the thing is-"
"Of course you know! You are responsible for it you ass" cutting Serensi off,Garthox shouts in anger and points at Cylan and Andriet. Looking at their closeness, he was even more convinced they were working together.
'What?'
Andriet slowly sits up and they slowly turn their heads to look at each other.
'Did you hear that?'
'I did, you too?'
Both understood the other's gaze, so they turned their gaze to Serensi.
'You guys didn't play with Kessas and get infected before coming right'
Though he couldn't decipher their gaze he could tell they were questioning their senses so he continued from where he was cut off before.
"Garthox, allow me to speak" his normally spaced eyes gave the metallic man a hard look, he didn't particularly enjoy being cut off.
"The thing is there is a particular fact that the authorities have kept from the public-"
"We know." both of them chime in before he finishes.
Having been cut off a second time, his left eye twitches slightly. "AND that fact is-" he gives them a pointed look.
'Bet you don't know THAT huh'
They both ignore his look and wait.
He deflates at their indifference. "-all the attacked victims are members of the Gi family. That the attacker pummels them to the point their faces are unrecognizable is one reason the public doesn't know. Also, we are a distinguished family and most people haven't seen us up close, and the attacker seems to wait until they are in areas with people who wouldn't know them, so it hasn't been spread yet. Though it is only a matter of time before the media picks up on it despite the elder's efforts to keep it under wraps."
Andriet and Cylan slowly digested his words. They both had their own guesses on the matter, but to think the attacked victims were Cylan's family members.
"Pft hahaha"
Cylan burst out in laughter, he laughs to the point he has to hold his stomach as he falls off the sofa arm.
The others watch him in silence. Most of the Gi members were fuming at his laughter while Andriet looks at him with cool eyes, though her eyes had a bit of sadness in them as she watched him.
"You, h-how dare you laugh!" Garthox's anger was still clear on his face, but during Serensi's explanation his body returned to normal.
"Why wouldn't I? I just heard that you are all out there dropping like flies that's the most amusing thing I've heard all year" Cylan smiles brightly at his cousin, a smile so bright and joyous as if trying to convince them of what wonderful news it was.
"Cy."
"But Etty~, this is so funny" he looks at her, his eyes asking if she gets it.
Andriet ignores his look and grabs his hand to make him sit back down.
"Even if that were the case what does that have to do with that retarded twit saying Cylan is the cause."
"Darling, he called you a rude name before, this is where you call him a fucking dipsh-"
"Cylan."
"Okay, fine" he pouts and obediently settles down beside her, though it didn't take the sardonic look from his eyes and the grin of his face.
"As I said, what does that have to do with Cylan?"
"Well, the thing is they found each of the victims with markings on their bodies"
"Markings, what kind?"
"Well.." he casts a glance at Cylan and hesitated.
"Why are you holding back, let him know we know he did it." the female twin said at his hesitation. She turns to Cylan and points at him.
"There were vine markings found on all their bodies, vine markings, don't tell me you want to deny it now with the evidence so clear?" she finished her words full of taunting, her revelation was to tell Cylan to drop the act because they caught him.
"Exactly." Quincen, feeling they got the upper hand again, chimed in. "the attacker is obviously someone who knows the family and can show up and attack them before they could properly resist with their skills and everyone here knows what happened before and is aware only you-"
"Q-quincen" said the male twin. He held her forearm with slightly trembling arms.
"What!" hating that her moment was stolen, she glared at the twin who stopped her.
"You might want to shut up." Serensi said nodding in a certain direction.
Quincen followed his gaze, and it was only then she noticed both people opposite them had different expressions. Cylan's smile dimmed to the point it seemed more sinister than if he held no smile at all while Andriet's normally indifferent expression was gone and her eyes were squinted and she clenched the armrest until the veins were visible in her pale hands.
"You dare." a burst of cold area spread out like a wave, dropping the room's temperature in an instant. The Gi family members were chilled to the point it burnt.
"You dare mention what happened, did you truly enter our home and speak about that matter? I kept silent with your ridiculous accusations because watching you make a fool as yourselves was amusing but did you think we are push overs?" Andriet rose her voice at the persons opposite her and though she remained seated the full extent of her rage was evident, even more so with the dropping temperature of the room.
The twins had already gone pale in the face and their teeth were chattering, Quincen, Garthox and Serensi were much better, but they still felt pain from the biting chill.
"How ridiculous, it could very well be one of you that is doing all this and are just trying to blame him, and you have the audacity to come wreck havoc in our home so early in the morning. Shall I pay a visit to where you live and numb your minds with foolishness as well, does your ass not feel jealous of the crap coming out of your mouths." Andriet was enraged and her manners had been long thrown out from the moment they brought started bringing up that incident. She snarled at them. The sun was shinning brightly in the background but all that seemed like a distant world compared to the frigid living room.
'That fool, did she think Andriet Mavros was just a paper dranoc. People like her are the scariest when their inverse tail gets touched and her's is most definitely..' Serensi criticises his cousin while he looks at the man who had a smile on his face again but eyes that resembled the chill in the room. One look had him regretting ever joining the rest of his cousins to come here.
'Forget seeking justice, let's hope we leave this place alive'
