There were eighteen beings, and the weird part was there were all women. I say beings because they were different races there in front of me. "um, hello.'' I said, waving. They waved and then bowed. I sighed "why the bow?'' I asked Refrig. "it represents respect yentzi. I guess they have some fortune teller who told them of you.'' I sighed again. "ok you all can stop bowing now it's a little creepy." i said to them and they straightened up. "ok um who might y'all be anyways and how did you know i was coming. I didn't even know i'd be coming till earlier." one of them stepped forward. "i am juna, and we have heard of your arrival from our goddess, Rory." she was human. There were all humans except for five of them. Two elves,one pantherian, one dwarf, and I have know clue what the other was but her skin wasn't skin but scales. "are there no men here?" I asked everyone within hearing distance. The dwarf and a couple of the humans laughed. "im serious. I don't want to be the only man here." i complained. "don't worry young hatchling. There are men and we are just the important religious women. Our leaders couldn't come because they are busy but they'd like to meet the one chosen by Rory." the taller elf answered. I sighed thankfully. "well i guess i cant enter any town quietly now huh?'' I asked hopefully. "not unless you hide your marks." the other elf answered. "oh come now Mrs.Sigfreed. we should head back. Let him enter the town. We can bombard him after he explores. We have met him so lets be on our way now." the taller elf replied with, "why are you in such a hurry all the time?" I raised my hand. "um can i have someone show me around at least?" I asked , lowering my hand quickly. Conversation forgotten between the elves. They giggled. "What did I say?" I asked curiously. "You said nothing wrong dear, Carna, are you busy?" the pantherian looked over, answering the elf. " Yes, I'm busy showing him around." then giggled. "thank you Carna." i said while picking Refrig up and holding her in my arms and rubbed her behind her ears. She really seemed to like this a lot. I walked back towards Sungsam, who had stayed at the edge of the clearing the whole time. "you know you could have joined us." i said, patting her leg. She looked down at me not saying anything. I sighed "ok. Ok." and i dropped it. She didn't want to risk frightening them. I turned back to the ladies. I asked Carna if she was ready. "be over there in a sec." she replied. I noticed that most of the ladies were staring at Sungsam in awe and not fear. i walked over to them asking "y'all wanna touch her? she won't bite." they replied, "we would be honored if she would let us." I chuckled because I felt like I was auctioning her, "of course she wouldn't mind." I walked back to Sungsam with them behind me. "they would like to meet you." i said, making a scene for i had bowed to her. I chuckled when I was standing upright because she was enjoying the attention. "i told you so, Sungsam." she rolled her eyes because she was paying more attention to her gawkers. "We know we must be annoying, for you're probably used to silence. But we've never been able to touch a dragon so of course we are very honored to meet you Sungsam." the elf with the blonde hair replied. Then she bowed while lifting the sides of her dress up saying "anyways, we must be off." and turned back towards the others. "see you all later i guess." I said to their retreating figure. They waved back. I turned back to my group saying "now time to explore this new domain i've been thrust into." Sungsam lowered herself for us to climb onto her back. "thanks." Carna said when she was situated. "for what?" I asked and she replied with "for letting me come along." i chuckled, "it was nothing really. Ready Sungsam." I said to Sungsam. She lowered into a crouch and launched herself into the sky. "YEEEEAAAAHHHH!!!" I yelled out, fist pumping the air. It's so exhilarating when she launches into the sky like that. It's nothing like the helicopters and airplanes on earth. Especially the launching part. I turned around to look at Carna. "So how far is the capital from here?" she thought about it for a bit and looked down at the terrain. "id say about a week on the carriage. 4 days on horseback. And on her for about a couple hours." she replied. I nodded my thanks. Then turned around just when the town came in view. "land here Sungsam." I patted her. She started the descent. She landed roughly, and when she came to a stop Refrig jumped down while I climbed down after him and reached up to help Carna down. "thanks Yentzi." she replied while taking my hand and climbing down. "do you have that ointment for covering my marks?" i asked her when she was standing firm on the ground."yes i do." she replied, pulling out a jar of peach colored liquid from her pack. She handed it to me. I nodded my thanks and rubbed it on my tattoo-like marks. I handed the jar back to her. She took it and put it back in her pack. "how do i look?" I asked , turning towards them. "like you're lonely." Refrig said. "i don't feel lonely though. I feel like a monkey who found banana heaven." Refrig and Carna snickered but Sungsam just cocked her head sideways questioningly. "Do you know what a monkey is Sungsam?" I asked walking up to me. "yes." she replied. "But I don't understand, what's a monkey heaven." I thought about how I was going to explain what a monkey heaven was. "well a monkey goes crazy over just one banana so try to imagine how a monkey would react to a world of bananas." i thought that was a great explanation. "oh i get it now." and she snickers too. Yes, it was a great explanation. "so Sungsam what do u plan on doing while we are in town?" i asked looking up at her. She looked at me and the next thing I know, I'm looking at a big boobed, beautiful woman with bat-like wings on her back. My mouth falls open. "i plan on coming with you all." she replied smiling. I snapped my mouth shut. "awesome." was all i managed to say. "wow." Carna exclaimed. I looked over at her and nodded my agreement. I looked at Refrig. She was just acting like she would usually act. "Refrig did you already know?" she nodded and smiled. "k." was all I said. "now let's get going before it gets dark." Sungsam replied bringing everyone back to our current objective. "yeah your right." I said , turning back towards the town. "Let's go, everyone." and starts walking with them closely following behind me.
"guess the first thing we should do is find an inn to stay at." Carna said, while walking up to the gatekeeper as we entered the town. I wonder why they built the walls so tall, I'll ask Carna later. Carna walked back towards saying "inn's straight down this road and it's the only decorated building in the town." I nodded and asked, "How many roams do we plan on renting?" she thought about that. Then said "just one." I nodded warmly. "What never slept in the same room with girls?" i shook my head, "no, no i have, i was just asking." I replied. She giggled. "don't worry I'll be in my cat form." I nodded. "I guess everyone here can shift?" I asked, hoping she understood what I meant. "no, just the gifted can shift." she replied seriously. I nodded. "ok that settles that question. Thanks." she nodded back. As we were walking down the street I noticed a lot of people staring at us. After a few steps in, everyone went back to normal. There were a few kids out playen. When the kids saw us, they came running over and bombarded us with questions like, "where are you from?", "what's it like out there?" and "what's the biggest monster you killed?". I chuckled. "Okay kids, I can only answer 2 of those questions because I don't Feel like answering the first one. Is that alright with y'all?" they said "yeah." "ok so its big out there is what it's like. And the biggest monster I faced was this one." I put my arms on Sungsam's shoulders, winking at her and smiling at the kids. They giggled and laughed. "run along now kids. We got something we got to do right now. Maybe we can play later. You know what later I'll get you all something sweet. If y'alls parents are fine with that." they ran away laughing and talking about what just happened. I looked back at my group. They were staring at me wide eyed with shock. I chuckled. "what, didn't see that coming." they nodded. "what did you mean by something sweet?" Carna asked. "have you heard of candy?" I replied. They shook their heads. "well then guess i'm gonna have to show you all." I replied , smiling. They all looked excited at that, and to be honest i was actually looking forward to showing them what candy was. "ok so where's the inn at, Carna?" I looked over at her. "that way." she replied, pointing down the road to a building that had a sign with a moon on it. "it's called 'the blue moon' and it's the best one in town." I nodded, "I could've guest that much." she looked at me questioningly and i just shrugged. Then we continued down to the inn. "hey Carna is there a tavern or restaurant here?" I asked, stopping at the inn entrance. She thought for a second. "yeah there is actually." and points back the way we had come. "thanks." I said as I opened the door. "hey Carna are the kid's always like that? I mean curious about killing monsters and what's it like out there, outside the walls." I looked at Carna after I had shut the door. "Yeah, they're always chatting about becoming stronger to defeat the monsters and the demon lord, Zaq Pover." she replied walking up to the counter calling for the innkeeper. Refrig had stirred at the mention of the demon lords name. She was asleep in Sungsam's arms. But now she was awake looking at Carna thoughtfully. The inn keeper then came out of the side door. The door was on the right side of the counter. Before it closed I had caught a glimpse of a bed with a woman in it. Who had a rag on her forehead. "how can i help you all?"the innkeeper asked after he'd said sorry for not being out here when we came in. Carna replied with "can we get 1 room please." the innkeeper looked at me. "don't look at me, I'm not that kinda man and I'm not sure you'd understand our situation sir." all three girls giggled and I sighed. "you know what, think what you want. Oh and is there something wrong with that lady in there?" he cocked his head for a second and then he finally grasped what I meant. "oh she is ill. Why?" i sighed "can i check out her illness i might be able to help." he looked at Carna and she nodded then he looked back at me and nodded his head yes. Then lead us into the room saying to the lady, which turns out is his wife.
