Yuan Ge makes up his mind, lifts the duvet, jumps out of bed and heads straight for the roof terrace, intending to carry the man inside and put him back in bed. But when he reaches the top and looks down, he realises that there are several old people gathered on the lawn below.
Have we been reported?
Yuan Ge takes a closer look and recognises them all as old retired bureaucrats who live in the same valley. They are all dressed in their morning exercise clothes, but now they are gathered in front of his house, looking up and listening attentively to Rong Qiuchen's recitation, and clapping and cheering from time to time.
Rong Qiuchen clearly enjoys acting in front of a crowd. When he hears the people cheering, he strikes a pose and with a tap of his toe, a broom conveniently leaps into his hands. Then he walks his operatic stage walks, striking a pose of a drunken man looking at a sword, and continues to recite aloud.
