3 POV
The sun rises as a new day approaches, and a new beginning embarks for Technoblade and the little girl. Philza left a note on the counter for Techno, letting him know that he is investigating the village and the background of the kid while he was there. They knew the village had to be some sort of culprit of the girl's pain, as they clearly remember the drawings they had found in the handmade house that overlooked it.
But most importantly, Phil and Techno both sense a clear resemblance to them, and they once lived in that village. The men couldn't help but feel a need to protect the child, because who knows, she could be the child they had been seeking to protect.
But enough about that, Techno needs to check on the girl and make sure she's ok. So he goes upstairs towards his room but stops in his tracks when he hears muffled cries. He peeks his head from the ladder only to find the culprit; there was the little girl, crying and whimpering in her sleep. Poor thing, probably having a nightmare Techno thinks, before he's pulled out of his trance when he hears a strange language being spoken by the girl. What in the-
Techno can't finish his thought as his brotherly/fatherly mode instantly activates, and he's immediately crouched down in front of the bed and trying to shake the child awake. It was no use, though, as the girl was in deep sleep, but he couldn't help but notice her tears seemed to have been burning her face. Ouch, that must hurt. Techno is quick to grab a towel and wrap it around the girl's eyes, as to hopefully stop the tears from going down her face and giving her more scars than she needs.
During the ordeal, Techno realizes he's hungry and knows that the girl will probably be the same, so he takes one last look at the girl before going downstairs and cooking some baked potatoes. Once he's down and about to set up his utensils, he sees the note that Phil left and couldn't help but feel a smile spread across his face, the old man is really caring, I'll give him that. He chuckles to himself, putting the letter in his pocket and starts putting the potatoes in the boiling water. While it boils, he decides it'd be best to multitask, as to get more things done so he can take care of his new companion.
He goes outside to feed Carl but ends up zoning out while petting the horse's mane, becoming lost in thought. She's so young… What happened to her?-
His thoughts are again interrupted, Jesus will I ever be able to finish a single thought, but immediately switches from slight annoyance to concern when he realizes he had heard a thump come from where the little girl was staying. He rushed inside the house to see what happened only to see the poor kid on the floor, shaking in one of the nearest corners from where she had fallen before, towel thrown smack in the middle of the two of them.
"Woah, what's wrong?" He asks a little taken aback at the fear of the girl's face, but quickly changes to relief when the little girl only points to the spider on the bed. Techno chuckles a bit, before chucking the spider from the bed to the wall and throws at least three knives at it and it smashes out of existence. He looked back at the little girl and for a brief second the girl looked astonished, but quickly changed to fearful as she didn't seem to recognize her surroundings. He notices her panicked breaths, slowly inching closer while cooing at the girl, "Shh it's ok, I'm not here to hurt you." Once he gets close enough, he holds his arms out for a hug, the girl eyeing him suspiciously before giving in and throwing herself onto Techno.
The Child's POV
Who is he? Is he the owner of this home? Will I get hurt again? My head is spinning with questions but soon it all disappears as I see the strange man hold his arms out, seemingly wanting a… hug? He probably noticed my fast breathing, but I still don't know him, how do I know it's not a trap?
But before I know it, I give in, and jump into the man's arms. It's so warm.. is this what comfort feels like? I like it…
We stay in the hug for what felt like hours, before he releases me and we pull back. I notice he is looking at me with concern, but I ignored it as I took in the details of the stranger. He is very tall, though I don't know exactly how tall he is due to the fact he's crouching, with long pink hair that reaches his back. It seems to be in a tight braid, so his hair may be longer than it seems. He's also wearing a white dress shirt with some black pants and boots, his crown and cape hung on the hanger where I had left it. He also had some scars on his face like me, with glasses placed over his crimson-red eyes.
The features that stood out to me the most, though, were the tusks on his face that seemed to come out of his snout, and the little pig ears that stuck out of his pink hair that always twitched ever so slightly at the slightest signs of movement or noise. I giggled slightly and a temptation arose in me: Must. Touch. The. Pig. Ears. Instead, however, I ignored my inner child and just smiled at him as a thank you for the hug. He gave a small smile back before quickly moving onto the questioning.
3 POV
"For starters, we should introduce ourselves. As a gentleman should, I'll let the ladies go first. What's your name, princess?"
She smiles softly at the newly given nickname, before her face twisted into confusion, What was my name?
Techno seemed to have sensed the tension that had just arisen in the room, so he quickly gave her an offer,
"I can give you a name if you like? Only if you want of course."
Seems like that was the right intervention, as the girl beamed and nodded vigorously.
He smiled fondly at her and thought for a second before he felt a little tug on his shirt.
He looks down and sees the girl pointing her little finger towards him.
He looked confused at first, until it dawned on him, "Can you speak?"
The girl shakes her head and points at him again.
He becomes more confused, tilting his head slightly to the right, "What is it?"
The little girl just gives a patient look to the hybrid, using her finger to trace the word 'name' on the floor with a question mark at the end.
His mouth opens in an 'o' formation as he quickly answers, "Right sorry, my name's Technoblade."
Suddenly, he realizes he's known by many as a fierce blood god and orphan obliterator, so she's bound to have heard of him, Techno quietly hoping she wouldn't get scared of him.
However, she is just the opposite, as she happily claps her hands at the newfound information.
He just smiles more but slightly chuckles as he hears the girl's stomach rumble, her face turning a bright red. "Oh right! I made you this a while ago, you can eat it now if you like."
He grabs her by the hand and slowly leads her to the kitchen where the baked potatoes were placed, making sure they were cool enough to be eaten. Once he confirmed it was safe, he gave it to her and she smiled widely, grabbing it excitedly before digging in.
While she's eating, he can't help but look at her arms that are lined with black and blue marks and uses this opportunity to ask the one question that has been trapped in his mind, "Who hurt you?"
The girl stopped eating and hesitantly looked up at the hybrid, fear clear in her movements.
" Hey, don't worry, I just want to know. I'm here to help" he reassures softly, and the girl smiles at that, using her finger again to spell out the word 'village'.
Technos face quickly changes from reassurance to anger, knowing the new information about the village he was about to trade with. He noticed the flinch the girl gave, however, and quickly softened his expression, "Sorry, didn't mean to scare you. I just… I'll be right back"
She nods slowly and watches as he leaves her alone on the main floor.
Techno goes downstairs into the basement and grabs a piece of paper from one of the many chests he owns, writing a quick message to Phil.
He goes outside and spots the crow he was looking for, attaching the note to its feet and sending it off.
Better hurry Phil, we have a village to raid.
