Zaiden watched the man leaning in with a serious gaze, he was already feeling negative energy from him. But for some reason he felt that was familiar, and the very assumption made him wait for his response.
"I think you didn't recognize me. It might be due to this appearance. I'm Garry.'
Zaiden realized why his aura felt familiar, the people of Hexaphere had different aura than the rest of the vampires. Since they were mutants who practically lost their vampiric nature and turned into some other race. Hence their aura was completely new and negative, which Zaiden could grasp because of his own element.
"What are you doing here?"
Garry couldn't comprehend any reason why Zaiden would be there. The city, which precisely was a province of Solarian kingdom was famous for many reasons. And anyone of those renowned lists wasn't any bit good.
Zaiden raised his eyebrow to his bold question, now that he wasn't in Hexaphere Zaiden had nothing to be feared off. He didn't exactly feel fearful during his short stay there, instead Zaiden had been conscious about the unknown dangers.
"Shouldn't I be the one asking it?"
Zaiden didn't budge and wanted to have him by neck to speak the truth. But at the same time he was new to the province himself, and didn't want to expose it. Garry chuckled in his monstrous voice, which felt evil to Zaiden.
"Of course, I'm here to deliver some goods to the people from inner market."
He disclosed the purpose of arrival to Zaiden, who had been still trying to figure out how Garry managed to turn his physical appearance into....a normal vampire one. He didn't know vampires could shape shift into another human, hence the question lingered in his mind.
"But how did you manage to switch your appearance to....set standard 'normal' vampire one?"
Zaiden neglected his previous statement because he could grasp the possible reasons why he would be there. Thus he voiced his thoughts which Garry expected already, out of excitement of having Zaiden at his hands....he offered him a stroll.
"Well, I can show you while accompanying for a stroll. I'm sure you haven't seen the inner market of gadgets, where we sell them."
Garry knew that he couldn't harm him outside Hexaphere, but he wanted to witness Zaiden's potential first. Despite he had lost his vampiric powers in the war, Garry and others found a way to undo the mess. Hexaphere had given them the gift of enriched mana, which when molded into weapons could kill any being.
"Sure, I have to pick a parcel too in the way."
Zaiden waved his hand and waited for Garry to show him the route. However the mutant might not have grasped his lie, but he started walking towards the junction. It was four flyovers joining at one point, with the tallest building at the same spot. Zaiden speculated the surroundings keenly, there were a few other kind of species dwelling, which raised the question for the need of switching appearances in Garry's case.
They headed towards the right bridge from the junction, where the net of other smaller residential buildings appeared in the sight.
Although the whole province was built on the land which practically floated on some red mist. The whole net of the buildings was equally distributed on the land and towards the sky. And the buildings were connected to the flyovers, Zaiden was amazed to see the architecture of the whole place.
"Here, this way. The whole area is occupied with a lot of wonderful gadgets."
Garry took him towards an alley which was narrow but then widened at the end. A flyover joined the narrow road which spiraled upwards towards the building.
'This province is definitely not as peaceful and safe as it appears.'
Zaiden saw how the negative aura reigned in that place. He was able to sense it due to his own dark element, but the place suppressed his mana surge which helped him in blending.
'That professor deliberately sent me here, knowing I would definitely get into trouble. So, this is an actual test.'
Garry walked ahead of him on the flyover, there were practically no vehicles. Or perhaps he didn't see any yet.
The orange glass on the sides of the skybridge shone bright powering up the whole residential buildings. The end of the flyover was a building which was adjoined with the other one.
Zaiden looked up in the sky where a visible shield of energy was glowing, to protect, and purify the atmosphere while maintaining the temperature.
'It's not even hotter than usual here too, why am I sweating like this?'
His shirt became wet from armpits and breath was getting heavier with every step. The place was laced with the technological hindrances on purpose to prevent anyone stronger than the natives.
Garry glanced back at Zaiden from the corner of his eye and smirked. There was a reason why he offered Zaiden a stroll, since he could have him by neck anywhere. But the basic question was how strong Zaiden was?
