Chapter 48 - Whereabouts Unknown

The pillars of rocks dragged Zaiden in the ground, he was literally eaten by the earth. He had no clue that Anna would be capable of using her element like that. After the mud cage vanished in the ground Anna came back to her senses. It didn't take her any further moment of confusion to figure what just happened. Anna knelt near the spot which seemed like freshly dug muddy spot.

'No, no, what did I do?'

She intended to pull him back and put her palms on the ground. Anna began to so with a horrified expression on her face, she was inexperienced in killing someone. Compared to Zaiden, her innocence didn't let her leave him buried under the ground.

"I have to reverse the spell."

However she had no clue about how did it happen, Anna was aware that no one was present there except her. Hence the spell could only be casted by her, and she was responsible for Zaiden's death. Master Michal waited for any reaction from Zaiden' side, he trusted the boy and was confident in his prior acknowledgement of the combat skills.

A light emerged from Anna' hands and she chanted the reversing spell. The worried and afraid of the heinous act she just committed, the girl panicked upon the situation. Anna' sobs grew louder upon seeing no reversal, it was the moment when master Michal took the liberty to show up.

"What are you doing here?"

He tried to suppress his worry related to Zaiden, considering that he didn't want to display his 'awareness' about the whole incident. Anna shifted her crying face towards him and explained the whole incident to him within her hiccups. She apologized for hurting a fellow disciple, in her defense Anna stated that she was not conscious of her acts.

The old man spotted the M-core gem laying under the tree and shook his head. Now there was no way to track Zaiden if somehow he managed to survive under the ground. Master Michal was doubted about his survival with the non-existent oxygen underground. However the man sent Anna away and knelt on the ground.

"Hmm? I can still feel his essence but it's slowly fading. Where is he heading to and how?"

The professor could feel his 'dark aura', it was something only noble bloods could detect. It made easier for him to confirm his hunch about Zaiden' blood group. But in that moment he was blank how did he even survive after bring buried. Curtis on the other hand had already been unleashing his anger over the system.

"Oh, come on! Track down his whereabouts, I know you are like an omnipresent and omniscient entity. You should be able to provide me anything."

Curtis grew worried upon his disappearance, but denied the potential chances of his death. The system gave told him to have some patience since Zaiden's whereabouts were still in motion. And he had t stop somewhere to pick up his actual physical location.

On the other hand of the picture the ground split open somewhere far away from the mystical valley. Zaiden was literally puked out of the earth and the rift closed after throwing him out. Zaiden looked unkempt, which was highly unlike his usual self.

The boy coughed and rolled over the ground with his arms crossed. An excruciating pain travelled in his body where one of the pillar had touched his arm. Zaiden looked whatever he could spot in the sky while laying. Above his head was a cosmos sky, Zaiden was amazed upon seeing an unnatural sky in front of him.

After catching his breath he moved a little in the attempt to get up. It took him a few minutes to grasp that he was somewhere mystical yet unnatural place. Apparently he was stranded in some cosmos roofed valley or perhaps in a cave, Zaiden looked around expecting someone who could guide him way out.

The sky was seemingly milky way with purplish blue light spread across, thousands of stars or he thought so they were. Zaiden spotted the peculiar flora of the place which he had never saw nor read before. The surge of dark mana was high in the place that his wound had already started to heal rapidly.

"Where the heck am I? And is this place even real?"

It was unbelievable to swallow the sight which was in front of him, the place seemed to be some kind illusion of heaven. Zaiden had trouble in distinguishing whether he was dreaming or it was real. But before he could explore the place a growl resonated behind him.
