Another creature appeared from the seemingly tunnel, all other eleven creatures gave way and scattered into two rows. Zaiden immediately comprehended that he was their boss, the creature was eight feet and had pointy ears.
His crimson eyes stared at Zaiden who was standing in the middle of the enormous cave. Zaiden saw the slightest movement of his ears, with the growl attempting to refrain the mob from harming Zaiden. The chief seemed to resemble a fusion of goblin and vampire, his fangs were visible to testify the vampiric attributes.
'What are these abominations? They all have one certain distinctive common feature, their fangs.'
Zaiden recognized the term dhampir which the chief used to describe him as half-vampire. Hence he presumed that those people had deep rooted hatred towards fully blooded vampires. Or else they would have already attacked him, the chief approached Zaiden and stood in front of him.
His scrunched nose was embedded inside his face so that only the nostrils were visible, the chief sniffed him and confirmed his hunch. Zaiden had already figured out that they meant no harm to him, hence patiently suppressed his emotions. However the mystical force was already aiding his powers, the chief lifted Zaiden's face by chin. Zaiden saw the chief clad in just pants while his feet resembled human ones, the whole session of observation made Zaiden curious about the new breed.
"Who sent you? And what do you want from us?"
The chief leaned in to Zaiden's height and stated his worry, he waited for Zaiden's reply while looking straight into his eyes.
"Nobody sent me. I accidentally landed here during a duel."
Zaiden was aware of the significant differences between him and the chief, keeping the prominent facts in his mind he didn want any disputes.
"Is that so?"
The chief straightened himself after witnessing the golden flecks in his eyes. A smirked appeared on his hideous face which exposed his fangs even more. He acknowledged that Zaiden was the doom of the vampiric realm, which was foreseen by the royal seer eons ago right after his birth.
"You say your name is Zaiden, right dhampir? I will just request you politely to leave this place immediately."
The chief sounded concerned considering the consequences of keeping a vampire underground, despite the fact Zaiden was a dhampir. But the destested behaviour of the clan towards the vampires might neglect the origin of Zaiden in turn harming him.
The chief patted on his head as Zaiden felt a gigantic yet gentle blow on his head. The creature turned around to leave as the other armed members followed the gesture. Zaiden tugged at his pants from the knee portion accordingly his height.
"But I don't know to go back. I came here as the result of some spell, which I don't have any knowledge about."
The boy truthfully stated his concern about going back, the chief halted anf turned to face Zaiden with a disbelief tainted on his hideous goblin face. Zaiden stumbled upon a little due to the huge footsteps of the chief.
The chief laughed wholeheartedly which would have been no less than a nightmarish moment for a normal human child.
"Haha! You sure are intriguing little thing."
He gestured his other pals to lower their strange weapons and instructed Zaiden to follow him out.
'I should trust him a bit. At least now I know if he wished to kill ne he would already had done it here sneakily. I'm sure killing a dhampir in public isn't an honourable act.'
Zaiden tried to assure himself with constant positive thoughts, while he followed him out.
On every step taken towards the tunnel at the felt heavier to Zaiden. He felt an unknown pressure developing in his chest, and a sudden headache made him slightly dizzy. Zaiden didn't question anything about the place which seemed to be a border between two realms. Or perhaps something similar.
The tunnel was illuminated by naturally glowing rocks within them. Due to the immense surge of mana within the tunnel he felt that certain pressure. Zaiden's current physical state and the drastically dropped attunement made it unbearable for him.
The chief looked back at him when all others stopped walking, all the creatures had been cautiously progressing, to ensure they don't crush Zaiden under their mammoth feet. He shook his head and picked up Zaiden from his shirt and put the boy on his shoulder.
Zaiden was on the verge of fainting when his crimson orbs soon adjusted to a bright light. As soon as he breathed in fresh air the boy was able to appreciate the utopian world in front of him. A huge city in the shape honeycomb was touching the soaring sky, which resembled an enlarged version of galaxies embedded with billions of stars.
"What even is this now!?"
Zaiden took a few moments to swallow the whole scenario, undoubtedly the other realms were ahead of vampiric one.
