"Come in, Shimura. Swing your sword harder!"
"I'm trying, father! Stop hitting me! It hurts!"
The person I'm talking to is my Father, Yutozaki Shinsuke. He's the greatest swordsman I've ever known, and I'm practicing swinging my sword with him.
"Swing it harder, and I'll stop hitting you."
Probably until now, you would be thinking: "Where's this guy's mom?" To be honest, she died when I was 9, and I didn't even see her often, since most of the time she was bed-ridden. I still have a picture of her in my bedroom though.
"Knock, knock."
"Eh? Dad, who's at the door?"
"I don't know. Whoever is at the door, come on in!"
After my father said that, a man in a black suit and black glasses came in. It seems that he is an agent of some kind. I should be prepared.
"I'm Hisoka Kurata, and I'm here today to inform you that: You're under arrest, Kanzaki Shisui."
"Eh? This is my father. Who is Kanzaki Shisui?"
"So you don't know your father's true identity huh. Then let me tell you. Kanzaki Shisui is the worst yakuza boss ever in the history of our country. His gang, the Bloody Fang, had slaughtered thousands of people. Even though he had retired now, the government still needs to dispose of potential threats, and that one of those threats is you, Yutozaki Shinsuke. Or should I say the former yakuza boss?"
What? My father used to be a yakuza?
I looked at him with questioning eyes, hoping that he would explain to me what is happening. Instead, he just stared at the floor and said nothing.
This can't be real right? How come is my dad a former yakuza? Not to mention that he used to be a dangerous one. My mother loved him a lot, saying that he's a sweet guy. So does it mean that my mother has been tricked all those times?
"Father, what is the meaning of this? Is this a joke? It's not fun anymore."
"I'm sorry Shimura. I can't say anything."
Then he looked at the man.
"Alright, if you want me, then let's go. But on one condition: Don't involve my son with this. He's innocent."
"I'm sorry, but I cannot fulfill your wishes. You see, since he's your son, he's viewed as a threat too. Which means that he's coming with us."
"You bastard. You can do anything to me, but not my son!"
Right after that, my father unsheathed the sword that he always wears at his waist and tried to slash the man. But right after a second, my father was on the floor, leaving me astonished. What the heck just happened?
"Well well well, don't be so full of yourself, will you? Do you think that a former yakuza could win against me? Don't make me laugh."
How strong is that guy? Cold sweat is running behind my back, and my instinct screamed at me to not mess with this man.
"Yes? Yes, I'm done. Come out now guys."
The man was talking to someone on his phone. Wait, there's more?
"Alright, please raise your hands in the air and no one will get hurt." The man said, "A team of agents will come in right away."
After a few minutes, about 4 to 5 agents ran in and tied my father up.
Not so fast. I can't die here. I still want to use a sword. I want to live happily with my father.
When an agent tried to tie me up, I kicked him and unsheathed my sword.
An honorable man died during a battle. That's what my father said.
That's right. If I die, I will die here, during a battle.
I tried slashing at the nearest agent. For some reason, I could see the fear in his eyes.
"Bang"
At that moment, someone shot me. I fell back and lose consciousness.
