"Matt…" called Annie as Matt stopped and he turned around.
"What?" asked Matt as he looked at Annie, and he did not answer her coldly, but neither did he answer her in a friendly tone.
"Nothing…" said Annie as she did not know why Matt had still been upset with her, for so long, it was unfair, and he was just hurting her by behaving so coldly to her.
Matt said nothing at all as he went back down to get the others as Annie sighed, she wanted to talk to him… but every time she tried to, he would not listen, or he would go off with Curtis, of talk to Maddie, while she would be there, alone… at least Ollie kept her company, but she really needed to talk to Matt, it was not like him to stay angry like this for this long, it made no sense to her that his anger was born out of her defending Ollie, she knew that it was something else, much more deeper.
Annie walked to the edge as she looked down, that was a very long way down, she wondered how Matt just climbed up and down with so much ease, if there were to try to climb up here manually, they would surely get hurt, and well it would take so long that they would eventually get very tired.
"Who's next?" asked Matt as he got back down.
"Go with Maddie" said Curtis.
"Okay" said Matt as he held Maddie's hand.
"Should I close my eyes or what? That looks way too high, and I don't want to look down" said Maddie.
"Then close your eyes" said Matt as he shook his head, Maddie was just too much, he carried her, like the same way he carried Annie, the only difference was that she did not hold his neck.
"Oh you know you want to laugh Matt" said Maddie as she laughed and Matt just kept a straight face as Maddie closed her eyes and she felt the cold wind blow on her face as she felt them land, she had to give it to Matt, he was not wasting his vampire side at all, it was very, very useful.
"Those two are way too close" said Ollie as he looked at Curtis.
"Mhmm" said Curtis as he was still in his own thoughts.
"Gosh Matt, that was way too quick, you are way too strong" said Maddie as Matt let go of her and she stood firmly on the ground.
"I think that is something that you are supposed to be happy about" said Matt.
"Hmm, not really, but you are very efficient for us" said Maddie as she laughed and Matt shook his head as he went back down.
"He's still in a mood" said Maddie as she shook her head and she looked at Annie.
"Tell me about it, it annoys me, he doesn't want to talk" said Annie as she sighed.
"Oh Annie, don't be like that, don't be sad just because of him, he's being a jerk right now, but he will get over it" said Maddie as she looked at Annie and she rubbed her back for her.
"When?" asked Annie as she looked at Maddie.
"I don't know when exactly, but It will be soon" said Maddie.
"If only I could talk to him, if only he would listen to me, but every time I want to, he just makes up excuses, he goes away, and we don't end up talking" said Annie.
"So you only want to talk to him?" asked Maddie.
"Yes, of course, just to talk and nothing else" said Annie.
"Okay then" said Maddie.
"What are you planning?" asked Annie as she found Maddie's quietness weird.
"Nothing… nothing" said Maddie as she smiled and Annie did not trust her at all.
"I don't trust you" said Annie as she shook her head.
"You don't need to trust me" said Maddie as she smiled, she already knew what she was going to do.
"Who's next?" asked Matt as he was down once again.
"That would be me, but in any case, don't carry me like you carried the girls" said Ollie as he laughed.
"I wasn't planning to" said Matt.
"I would have preferred to throw you" said Matt as he wished that he could, but he would not be able to bring himself to do so.
"Oh haha, very funny Matt, you can't throw me, and you won't" said Ollie as he laughed, if there was something that Ollie knew about Matt after being with him for a week, was that he was good, he head a good heart, and he was not mean like Maddie not at all, he was only joking around, he would never throw him.
"Mhmm" said Matt.
"How should I carry you up then?" asked Matt.
"I don't want to be carried so just lift me up, I can pull myself up from there" said Ollie as he smiled.
"As you wish" said Matt as he smiled and Ollie walked to the dead end as he steadied himself.
"Are you ready?" asked Matt.
"Yes" said Ollie as he smiled and Matt gave Ollie a not too strong push as Ollie went ahead and he steadied his foot in a groove, as he made sure he had good footing and he put his fingers in the cracks of the wall as he climbed up, he was not weak at all, he had done lot of climbing training back home.
"I wonder what's taking them so long?" asked Maddie.
"I have no idea" said Annie as Maddie went to check what was going on down there when she was taken by surprise when she saw a little blondie head pop out as she shrieked back in fear.
"What's wrong Maddie?" asked Annie as she quickly rushed to Maddie as Maddie tried to calm down her racing heart.
"You are horrible blondie, what the heck?? Why are you climbing where is Matt?" asked Maddie as she pointed at Ollie as he lifted himself up and he stood up as he dusted himself.
"Of course I was not going to be carried by Matt, gosh" said Ollie as he laughed.
"Besides, who knew that you were so easy to scare" said Ollie as he laughed, he had never seen Maddie scared before, not even once, she was always just so strong, and mean, it was nice to see her scared for a change.
"And you are very easy to punch, the surface area of your huge face is a nice pillow for my fist" said Maddie as she smiled.
"Maddie!" said Annie as she looked at Maddie.
"Aww Annie, at least let me have this one, pleaseee, I have been sober for so long, I need to let it out once in a while" said Maddie as she pouted and Annie shook her head, Maddie was unbelievable, just unbelievable.
Ollie could not help but laugh, of course he was aware that he was the source of Maddie's hate, but he could not help but wonder how she could be so brazen? She always spoke her mind, regardless of what anyone said, he actually commended her for that.
"Maddie, you are unbelievable" said Annie.
"Oh believe me Annie, besides, he deserves it, he should have given us a heads up that he was coming up, I thought that he was some sort of monster or something" said Maddie.
"I'm sorry if I scared you" said Ollie as he smiled, he did owe her an apology, he did not mean to scare her, not at all.
"No, you didn't scare me, you terrified me, if not that I recognized your big head, I would have stomped on you" said Maddie as Ollie knew that she was not joking at all, he knew that Maddie would actually do that.
"I'm sorry for terrifying you Maddie, I didn't mean to do it" said Ollie as he smiled.
"Oh you better be sorry" said Maddie as Annie looked at Maddie with a warning gaze and Maddie sighed, she could not get a break now could she??
"It's fine, I know that you didn't mean to scare me blondie" said Maddie as she did not look at Ollie at all, all she wanted to do was show Annie that she was not being mean at all.
"Thank you" said Ollie as he smiled, one thing he liked so much about Maddie, was how much she cared for her friends, she cared for them so much that just because Annie asked her to, she was nice to him… to some capacity, but it was an upgrade from the way she was to him before.
"Yeah, yeah, don't make me regret it" said Maddie as she sighed, she wondered what was taking Curtis and Matt so long.
"Hey Maddie, can you hear me?" asked Matt as he shouted and Maddie looked down.
"Yes I can" said Maddie.
"I'm going to throw Curtis' bag up, try to catch it" said Matt.
"Okay" said Maddie very casually.
