"Is it only me or is it getting colder?" asked Maddie as she looked up the sun had moved; it was clear that it was going to set soon.
"I also thought I was the only one feeling the cold" said Annie as she looked at Maddie.
"The Sun is almost setting" said Curtis as he looked up, that was why it was starting to become cold.
"The mist is cold, so of course it will become even colder on Caligo, I bet it would be even worse when the sun sets" said Ollie as he smiled, he made it sound like they were on a vacation and not on a mission.
"Gee, thanks for the unnecessary information blondie" said Maddie sarcastically.
"You are welcome" said Ollie as he smiled.
"Well we have reached the base of the mountain" said Curtis as he stopped walking and he sounded relieved although he did not look like he did.
"I can't even see the mountain clearly from this angle" said Maddie as she looked up, she could only see the green of the mountain and nothing more.
"To think that we walked all the way there, to here, gosh" said Maddie as she sighed and she shook her head.
"Well at least we did reach out goal for today, right Curtis?" asked Annie as she looked at Curtis and she smiled at him, it would seem that she had already forgotten that she was angry with him.
"Yes we have" said Curtis as he nodded his head.
"We have to set up camp here, before the sun sets, it will become very cold" said Curtis as he bent down and he touched the ground, the colder and wetter the ground was, the more he knew that the mist was well on its way.
The mist descended from to the top of the mountain, down to the bottom.
"Well we better be quick then, and enjoy the last magic we have left" said Ollie as he smiled and he removed his brown backpack as he began to unpack.
"What are you doing?" asked Maddie as she watched Ollie unpack.
"I am unpacking, I need to revert anything that I used magic on, or else, it will be stuck in that state till our magic returns" said Ollie as he looked at Maddie and he smiled, he was thinking ahead, he would need his sword, which he had used a compression spell on.
"Ollie is right, Maddie, Matt, you need to revert anything you have used magic to seal, so that way you will be able to use it" said Curtis.
"Alright then" said Matt as he put down all the bags and he opened his own bag as he handed Maddie her own bag and Annie her own, while he threw Curtis' bag to him as Curtis caught it.
"This is so frustrating" said Maddie as she groaned and she went through her stuff, she had to sort out everything she had packed once again.
"Not really Maddie, things could be worse" said Ollie as he laughed and he uncompressed his sword as it appeared in his hand and he put it in it's sheath, you could never know what dangerous things or creatures you would find on the famous and dangerous Mount Caligo, which is why Ollie knew that he had to be prepared for anything at all.
"Please don't say that Prince Oliver" said Annie as she laughed and she shook her head, she could not imagine things being worse than they were now.
"It's Ollie, and also, I am just saying the truth" said Ollie as he smiled and he stood up as he walked to where Curtis was.
"Yeah, yeah, your truth is not appreciated" said Maddie as she got a green sweater from her bag and she put it on, she was feeling too cold, her hair was underneath her sweater, so she had to pull it all out.
"Annie, I think I accidentally packed your sweater in my bag" said Maddie as she handed Annie a purple sweater.
"No worries Maddie" said Annie as she smiled and she took the sweater and she wore it.
"Seems like you both are prepared for everything?" asked Ollie as he smiled.
"Of course we are, Annie made sure to think ahead" said Maddie proudly.
"Hmm" said Ollie as he smiled and he bent down.
"What are you doing?" asked Maddie as she was very suspicious of this guy named Ollie, she did not trust him, not at all.
"We have to make a fire before nightfall" said Ollie as he smiled.
"Except you want to end up freezing to death?" asked Ollie as he looked at Maddie and he smiled at her as she scoffed at him, she was just asking him a question, but she did not care at all, she did not trust him and that was final.
Ollie smiled as he closed his eyes and he whispered something under his breath as in that same moment a fire appeared in front of him as he stood up with a smile and he moved back.
"And there we go" said Ollie as he smiled.
"Cool" said Annie as she smiled, Ollie made that look way too easy.
"I am glad that you think so Annie" said Ollie as he smiled at Annie and Maddie rolled her eyes, Ollie was going to get nowhere with Annie, not if she had anything to say about it.
"I will set up the tents" said Matt as he looked annoyed and he walked past Annie.
"Okay?" said Annie as she did not know why Matt sounded so cold, so she looked at Maddie and Maddie just shook her head, of course she knew why he was cold, that was because Matty boy was jealous, Ollie was going way too far.
"Welp, time to enjoy the last minutes of magic that I have left" said Maddie to herself as she sighed and she walked over to Matt as she was going to help him set up the tents.
"Need any help?" asked Maddie as she stood beside Matt as he was unpacking the tents.
"Sure" said Matt as he sighed and Maddie patted him on the back.
"I get you, I can't stand that guy either, but what can we do? We just have to bear with him, even though, it's so, so, so, so difficult" said Maddie as she sighed.
"Yeah, I guess so" said Matt as he sighed, he did not even know why he was getting so worked up, but Maddie was right, Ollie was annoying, he was really getting on his nerves, and he had not even been here for up to five hours.
"Anyway, let's get these tents pitched" said Maddie as she smiled and she waved her hand as in that same moment, four tents were automatically set up.
"That was fast wasn't it?" asked Matt as he smiled.
"Yes it was, and I will miss being able to do that" said Maddie as she groaned.
"You will survive Maddie" said Matt as he laughed and he patted Maddie on her back.
"Oh I really hope so Matt, I really do" said Maddie as she sighed and Matt laughed as Maddie and Matt heard laughs coming from behind them and they both turned to look and see what was going on, while the sight made them both frown.
Ollie and Annie were sitting on a log beside the fire, and Ollie seemed to have said something that made Annie laugh while Ollie laughed as well.
"Just what does he think he's doing?" asked Maddie in anger as she looked at Matt.
"Where is Curtis?" asked Matt as he looked around and he could not see Curtis anywhere.
"He is obviously not here, or else he would have found a way to stop whatever that it from happening" said Maddie.
"Hey Blondie, you better set up your tent before you have to do it manually" said Maddie as she shouted and Ollie looked at her.
"You are right grouchy, thanks for reminding me" said Ollie as he smiled and he stood up as he went to his bag.
"That should keep him away for now" said Maddie with a happy look on her face as she quickly rushed to sit next to Annie, there was no way that she was going to let Ollie have his way and woo Annie, not at all.
"Hello Maddie?" said Annie in confusion as she wondered why Maddie rushed to sit beside her.
"Hello dear Annie" said Maddie as she smiled at Annie.
"Is something wrong?" asked Annie.
"No, no, of course not, everything is just fine" said Maddie as she smiled at Annie.
"Okay??" said Annie as she decided to not push any further, Maddie, Mat and Curtis had all been acting weird lately, the only person who was being himself was Ollie.
"Yes, yes, so what were you and that Blondie talking about?" asked Maddie as she smiled.
"Ah… well nothing much, he was telling me a joke" said Annie as she smiled.
"Ah… I see…a joke" said Maddie as she laughed.
"Yes" said Annie as she nodded her head.
