Chereads / Annie Grey / Chapter 330 - To be trusted

Chapter 330 - To be trusted

"That might be true, but I do not trust him, he feels…weird" said Maddie as she did not like Ollie at all, she just felt like there was something very weird about him, you could not tell her that he actually believed that lie about them just being plain curious about the revive spell.

"I agree with Maddie, he might be dangerous… we cannot trust anyone" said Matt, they had their fair share of betrayals.

"Yes Matt is right, even if they are part of the High Council or whatever, we still cannot trust them" said Maddie.

"I hear you both" said Annie as she sighed and she knew that Maddie and Matt were right, she knew that they could not trust anyone, even if they wanted to, she had almost got killed by Armand, someone she was supposed to trust, so right now, no one was to be trusted at all.

"Anyway, enough of that guy, I just hope he doesn't come here for a long time" said Maddie as she sighed, that was her biggest wish right now, that Ollie would disappear to whatever Castle he came from, because he was really a pain in the neck, and Maddie just really disliked the guy.

"You and me both Maddie, you and me both" said Matt as he sighed and he shook his head, he never thought of the day that he would ever agree with Maddie that someone was annoying, he had lived with Evie, his little sister, for such a long time, and she was the Queen of annoying, he never thought he could meet anyone more annoying than her… but well then came Ollie.

"Anyway" said Maddie as she scoffed.

"Here is the book Annie, I hid it so that annoying Prince would not ask anymore questions" said Maddie as she gave the book to Annie.

"Thank you Maddie" said Annie as she smiled and she sat down on the couch as she opened the latch of the book.

Straightaway Annie could tell that this book was not normal at all, it was not written in black ink, no, but rather it was handwritten in bright gold coloured ink that popped out on the page.

"This book doesn't look ordinary at all" said Maddie as she sat down beside Annie and the colour of the ink caught her eye immediately.

"My Grandfather said that he translated the book to an understandable language" said Matt as he sat down beside Annie as she looked down at the book, in a way it reminded her of Curtis… the book was special, just like Curtis was.

"Wow, that must have been a lot of work" said Maddie as she looked at the book, the book did not look new at all.

"I believe it was" said Matt.

"You know, this thing looks like It's almost as old as Curtis" said Maddie as she laughed and Matt could not help but laugh as well, Maddie really went too far with that joke.

"I will tell him what you said" said Annie as she looked at Maddie and she laughed as she shook her head, Curtis would really not like what Maddie had just said, even though it was true, he was very old.

"Even though this book would probably be wayyy younger than he is" said Annie as she laughed.

"Yessss, it's settled Annie joined me so I am not going to be alone" said Maddie as she laughed.

"You are not serious Maddie" said Matt as he laughed and he shook his head, Maddie could be too much sometimes, but it was funny, that was just how Maddie was, she was always herself, and trust them, it was better that she was on their side, or else, she was truly a force to be reckoned with.

"Oh I am, I really am, Curtis cannot get angry if his precious Annie is in on it too" said Maddie as she smiled, It was a win, win, Curtis could not be upset with her, if Annie was on her side.

"Oh aren't you very dubious?" asked Matt as he laughed.

"I cannot refute that, I am many things after all" said Maddie as she smiled smugly and Annie laughed.

"Alright, Alright, that's enough, yes Maddie, we know you are many, many, many things… and being mean is one of those things" said Annie as she laughed and Matt laughed along with her.

"Hey…" said Maddie as she was offended.

"Fine, I admit that I am, but you have to be mean to someone, you cannot always be all smiles and rainbows and nice, that's your role Annie, you are the sweet one, and well I… I am the dangerous one" said Maddie as she smiled cheerfully.

"I don't think that's something to be proud of Maddie" said Matt as he smiled and he shook his head.

"Oh it is, because that way, people know not to mess with you" said Maddie as she smiled.

"Besides, you have nothing to worry about, you are half vampire, half witch, you are the perfect breed, while we plain witches have to rely on our magic alone" said Maddie as she smiled.

"Ooops" said Maddie as she covered her mouth, she had just realized that she had spoken too much, she was being insensitive and she didn't even notice.

"It's alright Maddie" said Annie as she smiled at Maddie as Maddie turned to look at her.

"Oh Annie, I am so sorry, I was being so insensitive" said Maddie as she shook her head.

"It's alright Maddie, you didn't say that on purpose" said Annie as she smiled.

"Besides, it's not your fault that I lost my powers" said Annie as she smiled.

"Oh Annie, I am so sorry" said Maddie and Annie smiled at her.

"Maddie it's alright, we will find a way to get your powers back Annie" said Matt as he smiled at Annie.

"Yes Matt is right, we will, and I am very sure of it" said Annie as she smiled.

"Okay" said Maddie as she still felt back, she could just be so insensitive at times, and she didn't like that at all, why did she just have to mention magic in the first place??

"Yes, so let's get back to finding a way to do so" said Annie as she smiled and she looked down at the book as she opened to the first chapter.

"Well it seems that this would take a while, all the book is talking about is the fundamentals of spells" said Annie as she looked up at Maddie and Matt.

"Ughh… and just when I thought things were getting easier" said Maddie as she groaned.

"Well it is, it just takes a matter of reading" said Annie as she smiled.

"Well then, I will leave that to you" said Maddie as she smiled.

"Okay then" said Annie as she laughed and she looked down at the book as she began to read, this would take a while.

"So what do we do now??" asked Stella as she looked at Curtis, he was the expert here, and in all her years, she had never had to deal with anything like this at all.

"I suggest that we don't tell Annie anything at all, she does not need to be more stressed than she already is" said Curtis as he sighed.

"I strongly disagree Curtis, this is about her, and she needs to know" said Stella as she shook her head, she did not agree with Curtis's methods of leaving people in the dark, it was just unfair.

"But, it will not do her anything good if she knows" said Curtis as he disagreed with Stella.

"Well it will, you know how Annie is, she is stubborn, and right now, she must be looking for ways to regain her powers herself, I just don't want her getting hurt in the process" said Stella as she explained.

"If she knows about this, she will be able to be more careful, and avoid any problems that would put her in danger" said Curtis.

"So you have to understand me Curtis, she needs to know" said Stella very seriously.

"And if you still do not agree to tell her, then I will, because I am not going to risk something as delicate as this Curtis" said Stella as she looked very angry about this, she was not going to let Curtis make her not do the right thing.

"*Sigh*, Fine, we can tell her" said Curtis as he sighed, deep down, he knew that Stella was right, she was only doing this for Annie's good, and he knew that.

"Good, so when do we tell her, because the sooner we do the better" said Stella.

"We can tell her this evening" said Curtis.

"Alright Curtis, I will take your word for it" said Stella as she sighed and she shook her head, it just felt like it was one problem after another problem, Annie had woken up which was good, but they just had so many things to solve.
