Chereads / Annie Grey / Chapter 311 - Fix that

Chapter 311 - Fix that

"Oh Stella, I am so happy that I caught you here" came Captious voice as he called out to Stella and she stopped walking and she turned back.

"Oh Captious, it's you" said Stella as she smiled.

"I thought you were going to see Annie as well" said Stella as she smiled as Captious walked closer to her.

"Well that was my plan initially… until I was interrupted by Professor Reagan who said that he needed to speak to me concerning you" said Captious.

"Ugh *Sigh*" said Stella as she sighed and she shook her head, she could not get a single break could she??

"Is something the matter?" asked Captious.

"Let us just go to my office Captious, you do know that the walls have ears" said Stella as she looked at Captious.

"Alright then, lead the way" said Captious as he smiled and Stella walked ahead of him as he followed behind her.

"Professor Reagan came to me saying that you threatened him and the rest of the High Council" said Captious as he sat across Stella at her desk as they were now sitting in her office.

"Well I did not threaten him per se, I just gave them a stern warning and put them in their place" said Stella as she smiled at Captious, she found every single one of them seriously annoying.

"You do have that mischievous glint in your eye" said Captious as he laughed.

"Oh do I now?" asked Stella as she laughed, her mood was a hundred times better with Annie awake, now she could laugh, and smile like she usually used to.

"I haven't seen that look in your eye since high school" said Captious as he laughed.

"Oh hush Captious" said Stella as she laughed.

"You know how they are, they can all just be too overbearing sometimes, and it can just kill you, and suck the very life out of you" said Stella as she sighed.

"Overbearing is not the right word… if there was a word worse than overbearing then that would suit them better" said Captious as he laughed.

"Oh you speak the truth Captious, you really do" said Stella as she laughed.

"Imagine if they hear us speaking of them like this??" asked Captious as he laughed.

"Oh well I don't mind at all, it is my word against theirs, and I am the Vice Chancellor, so they just need to be bold enough to try it" said Stella as she scoffed.

"Stella you do seem to be in a foul mood today, have you drank your tea yet??" asked Captious as he could sense that Stella was really angry and fed up this time, usually she would overlook it, but not this time, not at all.

"Well of course I am, and you are right Captious, I have not at all, with Professor Reagan calling an impromptu meeting, I had no chance to" said Stella as she sighed angrily.

"Oh well that is bad, very bad, let's fix that, shall we?" asked Captious as he stood up and he walked to Stella's tea table and he poured her a cup of tea in a teacup, and he brought the tea to her.

"Do you feel better now?" asked Captious as he sat back down and he looked at Stella and he smiled, as she drank her tea.

"Oh I really do Captious" said Stella as she exhaled deeply.

"Thank you Captious" said Stella as she smiled at him, and he smiled back at her.

"So now that you are more relaxed, you can now tell me what the meeting was about" said Captious.

"I truly apologize for not being there, I had a prior engagement at the orphanage that I just could not miss" said Captious as he smiled.

"Oh you do not have to apologize at all Captious, I understand" said Stella as she smiled.

"In fact, If I could I would have found a way not to attend that meeting" said Stella as she scoffed and she took one last sip of her tea as her nerves relaxed and she put down the teacup and saucer on her desk.

"Well the meeting was about the usual" said Stella as she looked at Captious.

"The High Council, along with Professor Reagan fronting for all those cowards, yet again, came to me demanding that Annie be killed at her weakest moment" said Stella angrily.

"They spoke all sorts of rubbish, saying that she was a blemish to our realm, and I so kindly reminded them that every realm has their own problem, it is either one or another, and that our enemy was not Annie, but rather Azazel" said Stella.

"And what did they say?" asked Captious.

"Well they all refused and they continued in their babblings" said Stella.

"And so I just had to put them in their place, I had to show them that I was not just going to sit them, and allow them to do all their nonsense" said Stella.

"It is no secret that the King and Queen have entrusted everything concerning Annie to me, and yet they come there boldly thinking that I would dare allow them harm that innocent girl that has already been through more than enough!" said Stella angrily.

"And well after I so kindly reminded them of that fact, it seemed that they all no backbones at all, they were just all so spineless that when I asked them to leave they did so with no hesitation" said Stella as she sighed.

It did not matter if Annie was the granddaughter of her best friend, Stella did not care at all about that, to her Annie was like her own granddaughter, the one that she never had, and yet these people wanted to take her away?? No she was not going to let them do that at all.

"Sounds like you had a terrible evening" said Captious.

"More than terrible Capi, it was unnecessarily stressful" said Stella as she sighed.

"If not for Sapiens being there to support me, I would have caved in through all the pressure, they can all just be so choking when they support each other on nonsensical matter such as these" said Stella as she shook her head.

She found it hilarious how the Council would band together to harm an innocent girl, while when they had very important matters to decide on concerning the realm, there would be unnecessary division.

"Well I am glad that he was present to assist you" said Captious as he smiled.

"And so am I" said Stella as she smiled.

"And as I and Sapiens were talking, I was suddenly interrupted by Mira, who gave me the good news that Annie was awake" said Stella as she smiled.

"Oh you could not imagine the wonderful bliss I felt, I felt so relieved and relaxed that she was finally awake after so long, she was finally awake" said Stella as she smiled, she herself still could not believe it, it felt like a dream that she did not want to wake up from at all.

"Oh we have all missed Annie, it is a relief to all of us" said Captious as he smiled, he too had been very worried just like everyone else, his great niece had been in a coma for a month, they were not sure of what happened to her, she was not responding to treatment at all, both magical and human, and it just felt like her situation was hopeless, and their hands were all tied, they could do nothing at that time.

"Oh Capi" said Stella as she sighed.

"So how is she?" asked Captious as she smiled.

"Well she is weak… weak but well, and that is expected since her body has been in the same state for a while now" said Stella as she sighed.

"But there is something that I find rather strange" said Stella as she seemed to be thinking.

"And what is that?" asked Captious.

"Well I need to speak with Curtis first, it is a very delicate matter" said Stella.

"Well alright then, have you found him yet?" asked Captious.

"Well No, I have not, but I am sure he should appear soon, the news of Annie waking up should at least relieve him as well" said Stella as she seemed to be thinking.

"Well it should, he does care for Annie, more than his own soul" said Captious.

"Besides he still does need to explain to us what happened in the plains, we have no idea at all, he has refused to say anything on the matter, and he is the only one that knows what happened" said Captious.

"Well all in due time Captious, all in due time" said Stella.

"I have a feeling that all our questions will be answered very soon" said Stella as she smiled.

"Oh I do hope that you are right about that Stella, I really do" said Captious as he sighed, nothing about this made any sense to him at all, and it worried him.
