"Nia" called a witch as she stood behind Nia's door.
"What is it??" asked Nia as she looked irritated, she came out of her room to answer to who was calling her.
"I am sorry if I am disturbing you" said the witch.
"It's alright" said Nia as her face lightened, she realized that she was being mean for no reason, this lady has done nothing to her.
"I am sorry if I snapped at you" said Nia as her face looked apologetic, she was just fed up with everything, but she would be no better than that woman, if she took out her aggression on innocent people.
"No it's okay, I understand" said the witch as she smiled back at her, she was a brown-haired girl, she had brown eyes, and she appeared to be around the same age as Nia.
"With all you have been through and all... I do not blame you" said the witch.
"Thank you" said Nia as she smiled.
"Anyway, I am here because Selene asked me to call you" said the girl as the smile on Nia's face immediately faded.
"She needs you to clean her room" said the girl as she saw the way Nia's face dimmed.
"*Sigh* Okay, I will be there soon" replied Nia as she sighed, she knew that sooner or later she would have to face that woman again, after the incident Azazel gave her two days off her duties, and now her two days were over, she just wished that she did not run into that wicked woman, because she just did not feel in the mood to be insulted.
"Are you okay?" asked the witch as she saw that Nia did not look so good.
"Haha don't worry about me, I will be fine" said Nia as she smiled at the witch, she was really nice.
"Okay then" said the witch as she smiled.
"Yes, so Thank you for telling me, I will go now" said Nia, as he hoped that she would not meet Selene over there, it was true that Azazel had warned her already not to lay a finger on her, but considering the fact that Nia was sure that she was the one who killed Clove, she was convinced that Selene had no regard for Azazel's words at all, so she had to be careful.
"Okay" said the witch as she saw Nia walk away.
...
As soon as Nia stepped into Selene's room, her jaw dropped, to her surprise Selene was no where in sight, which was good for her, as she wanted nothing to do to that woman, but that was not what made her surprised, it was the state of Selene's room right now.
There was trash everywhere, the whole room was scattered for some reason, and Nia was sure that she saw mud on the couch and on the floor, Nia was certain that Selene had turned this place into a pigsty on purpose just to frustrate her.
Nia sighed, she had a lot to do, she could not leave this place in such a mess, it was her job after all to clean and look after Selene, but to Nia, it felt like she was taking care of an animal, and more specifically a pig that did not know how to clean after herself.
Nia got to work, the sooner she finished cleaning this place, the sooner she could leave and not meet Selene, and the sooner she could go back to her room and rest, because she was sure that after this, she would be extremely tired.
"Just what did she do to this place??" asked Nia as she sighed and looked around, she did not even know where to start.
Nia groaned, she decided to start by picking up all the trash and clothes and whatever else was scattered all over the ground, she decided that she would not pick up the things on the floor with her hands, who knew what dangerous poison Selene could have soaked on them.
Nia felt like she was suffering, and she was, this was just getting way too stressful, she would gladly rather take death, than having to suffer in the hands of that dangerous, wicked woman, who cared for no one except herself.
Nia pointed at the pieces of trash and who knows what else that was on the ground, and when she was satisfied with the number of items she had picked, she moved her hand and raised it up, and the items followed after her.
She moved her hand and pointed to the trash can, and the items all fell into the trash can.
"Well that takes care of the trash" she said as she sighed.
Her eyes moved to the mud tracks on the couch and on the floor, considering who Selene was, she probably did not have a normal couch, which meant that if Nia tried to clean the couch with magic, it would end up looking worse than when she first saw it.
That woman was just too wicked for trying to work her to death, it was obvious that she did this all on purpose.
Nia saw a metal bucket, she lifted it her her hand and she poured water from a pitcher nearby into the bucket, it seemed that the only way she was going to get the mud off, was by doing it manually, which meant using the old way.
Nia got out a big yellow sponge, she carried the bucket and she knelt down on her knees next to the couch, she was going to have to use water to scrub out the mud manually, which would be extremely tiring, but it was not like she had a choice anyway.
She was not going to give Selene the sweet satisfaction of complaining to Azazel about her being incompetent and not doing her job, she knew that Selene was just trying to torture her, and her her in trouble, but sorry that would not work on her.
After about twenty minutes, Selene's room was sparkling and clean, it was a thousand times better than the scene Nia walked into earlier, all the trash was gone, the mud tracks on the floor and on the couch were scrubbed off, and most of all everywhere was neat and tidy.
Nia looked around and smiled, she was proud of herself for cleaning this whole place up, she pulled down her sleeves as she put them up when she started to clean the couch, she poured the now muddy dirty water in the bucket away and she put the yellow sponge back in it's place.
It seemed that luck was on her side today, because Selene did not come and meet her here at all, it was now time for her to go to her room and rest.
...
As soon as Nia entered her room, she was extremely tired, all of her body was aching and especially her hands, what she expect when she used all her energy to scrub off mud from the couch and floor.
Nia plopped on her bed, all she wanted to do right now, was to sleep in peace, and she was about to do that, when she caught sight of her old brown bag lying on the floor.
Normally she would not even pay it any attention, she had left it on the ground for over two weeks now, but suddenly the sight of seeing it just lay there really annoyed her, maybe it was because she had just finished cleaning, and her mind wanted everything to be clean now.
But no matter the reason, Nia lazily got up, and she walked over to where her bag was, she bent down and picked it up, when something shiny dropped out from it.
Nia put her bag safely in her closet, and the shiny item caught her eye, she bent down and picked it up, it was a pink crystal shard, and it looked familiar to her.
"Hmm how did this get in here??" asked Nia to herself as she had no recollection whatsoever of putting a crystal shard in her bag, if she was the one that put it there, she would not have forgotten it.
"Weird" she said to herself as she turned the crystal shard around.
"It's sealed" she said as she saw something like a finger print on the back of the shard.
Nia decided to stop being curious and just play the shard, after all that was the only way she would know who it belonged to, and why it was in her room.
Nia tapped the middle of the shard, and she put down the shard to lay flat on the small table she had in her room, she left it to roll, as she went and she sat down on her bed.
"Nia... my greatest ally, and my best friend" came a voice from the screen projected by the crystal shard.
The voice that Nia heard almost made her break into tears, she was sure that she was probably dreaming.
"Don't think that I forgot about you" said Clove as she smiled, it was the warmest, brightest smile, that Nia had ever seen on Clove's face.
"Milady" said Nia like a whisper, as she was resisting the strong urge to cry.
"I never forgot about you my dear" said Clove as she smiled, she knew that Nia would probably be crying right as she heard her voice.
