Chereads / Annie Grey / Chapter 276 - Be Happy

Chapter 276 - Be Happy

"I know that you must probably hate me" said Clove as she looked down.

"No, No Milady, I can never hate you" said Nia as she responded as if Clove could hear her.

"You must hate me because I know that you tried your best to protect me" said Clove

"You tried your best to make sure nothing bad happened to me, and yet I let you down, I moved when you told me not to, and now I'm gone" said Clove as she smiled sadly.

Nia could not hold it back any longer, all the tears, and emotions that she had kept hidden deep within her began to pour out like a well, all the tears that she did not cry when Selene fought with her, or when she felt overwhelmed seemed to have piled up for this exact moment.

"Nia, please don't cry" said Clove, as if she knew that Nia would be crying at this exact same instant.

But instead of her words actually making Nia feel better, they just made her cry even more, because the recording of Clove made Nia feel that she was actually right there, by her side.'

"Look If you cry, you will make me cry too, see" said Clove as tears also started dropping from her eyes.

Nia rubbed her eyes with her hands, her eyes had gotten red from all the tears, she managed to curb her crying, but tears were still dropping.

"My dear Nia, I know that I have let you down" said Clove

"I am not worthy of all the love, and affection you had for me" said Clove

"No Milady, don't say that" said Nia as she sniffed.

"Please don't say that, I still have the same love and affection for you" she said as she seemed to be pleading, as if she wanted this to be real, for Clove to be right here, by her side once again.

Everything was horrible, it was hard and terrible without Clove with her, to be honest she would give anything for Clove to come back, even if that meant taking her life in exchange, or even if she was not allowed to see her, all she wanted was for Clove to return.

She did not like it here, at lease when Clove was alive, she had someone to talk to, someone she actually liked, but now that she was gone, she was left all alone once again, she had no one absolutely no one, who cared for her in this camp, and she was sure of it.

"But believe me Nia, I had a reason, a very good reason to let my death happen" said Clove.

"Even though you do not understand, just know that I had a good reason for dying" said Clove

"Then make me understand, make me understand Milady" said Nia as she cried even more.

Deep down Nia still blamed herself for what happened to Clove, she blamed herself for what happened, she should not have left Clove alone, she should have stayed by her side, she was sure that if she had done that, Clove would not have wandered away, and Selene would not have had the opportunity to kill her.

"Nia, I know that you cannot see it now" said Clove

"But my death will cause a lot of things to happen" she said

"Good things, I am sure of it" said Clove

"It just takes a matter of time, believe me, war will not happen and everything will be peaceful once again" said Clove as she seemed very sure of what she was saying.

"There are some things that I cannot tell you" said Clove

"It is best for your own safety" she said

"But trust me when I say that I saw my death starting a chain reaction of things" said Clove

"And one of them is putting an end to this stupid war that wants to happen" said Clove

"I know that you must not believe me, and you must think that I am crazy" said Clove as she smiled.

"No Milady, I believe you, trust me, I believe you" said Nia as she sniffed.

"I believe every single thing that you tell me" she said

"Because I trust you, and you only do what you think is best" said Nia as if she and Clove were having an actual conversation.

Even though Nia was confused, she had so many unanswered questions, and she knew no one else could give her answers except for Clove, but Clove has told her to have trust in her, and she would do just that, regardless of if it seemed crazy or unbelievable.

At this point, if Clove asked her to kill someone, she would gladly do it without any regrets at all, she just needed to say the word and she would carry out the action, with no questions asked.

"Nia, please do not blame yourself" said Clove

"Please do not, it was not your fault that I died" she said

"It was mine, for not staying put, and listening to you, but I just felt like I had to go, I had to do something" said Clove.

"Nia, I know that you must feel horrible right now" said Clove

"But don't because, you did nothing at all, you did what you could, and I was the one irresponsible" said Clove as tears dropped from her eyes.

"But I could have done more" said Nia as she cried.

"No Nia, no you could not have done more" said Clove as she replied as if she expected Nia to say that.

"I know that you have lost many loved ones in your life" said Clove

"And I feel bad that I have just been added to that list" said Clove as she cried.

"Believe me, it pained me to leave you all alone" said Clove as she sniffed.

"I just wanted to see you one last time before I left for good" said Clove and Nia cried even more, she tried to calm herself down, but it was to no use at all, it seemed that all her attempts were counterproductive.

"Nia remember when I said that you should not cry for me?" asked Clove, and Nia nodded.

"Well forget what I said" said Clove

"Crying is good, it releases all the emotions that you keep hidden deep within you" said Clove as she laughed with tears.

"There is nothing wrong with crying, it does not make you weak at all" said Clove

"Just do not cry in front of your enemies, or people who want to see you break down, because it would give them the sweet satisfaction of seeing you in pain" said Clove

"Make sure that even if you feel bad, and that the whole world hates you, keep yourself strong, never show weakness in front of anyone that will bring you down, bottle up all your emotions, and finally when you are alone, let it all out, and comfort yourself with saying that everything will be okay" said Clove

"Believe me, I have tried it Nia, I have tried bottling up all my emotions, and pretending that everything was fine, when it was not, and it only ate me up from the inside, I stopped being happy, and I hated waking up in the morning" said Clove

"I do not want the same thing to happen to you, you are too young to feel such pain" said Clove

"The only way to survive in this world, is to be strong" said Clove

"So promise me Nia, promise me that you will be strong" said Clove seriously.

"I promise, I promise" said Nia as she cried even more, she hated herself for being such a cry baby.

"Good" said Clove as she smiled.

"And most of all Nia, I want you to be happy" said Clove as she smiled.

"Do things that make you happy, that make life worth living" said Clove

"Go out more, play more, laugh more, and even make new friends" said Clove as she smiled.

"Sometimes Nia, you just need friends to be there for you, to comfort you when you are down, and just to talk with and laugh with" said Clove

"So I urge you to make friends, I am not forcing you, I am just advising you" said Clove

"Okay Milady" said Nia as she finally stopped crying and she rubbed her red eyes.

"Do whatever you feel like doing" said Clove as she smiled.

"Make little mischief, but not too much" said Clove as she winked and laughed, and that made Nia laugh.

"And most of all, know that no one is actually all alone in this life" she said as she smiled.

"Well Nia my dear, that is the end of my long message for you" said Clove as she laughed and Nia laughed back, her heart ached at the thought of the message ending.

"We will see each other soon, and I love you" said Clove as she smiled.

"I love you too Milady" said Nia as the message ended and the crystal shard stopped playing.

Nia spent the whole day in her room thinking and reflecting, and she only came out when the sun had set, she was on her way to the kitchen, and she was not even a far way from her room, when she bumped head first into someone that she least expected to see this night.

"Hey it's you" came the voice of a familiar not so familiar person as he saw Nia's confused face.
